Dunno where I got my Chicken Liver pate recipe.
I fried an onion, in butter, then added chicken livers and fried til cooked, added a spoonful of sherry or brandy, salt and pepper and then whizzed. If you want to be good, don't use too much butter, for luxury smoooooooth mouthfeel, then you need more butter![SIZE=-1]"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wow, thanks for the prompt responses everyone with the recipes. I used a combination of ideas mixed with memory and what I'd got in. I don't have any scales over here so a lot of my cooking is by guesstimate. I fried an onion with butter and garlic cloves then added the chicken livers and cooked a bit longer. I then added lemon juice, salt and pepper and blended. It looks a bit thinner than I remembered but have put it in the fridge to chill. I think it will be fresh bread and chicken liver pate for lunch tomorrow. At the moment OH is refusing to consider even trying it so I might have a lot to work through. It made 2 bowls full. Do you think I could freeze one? The livers only cost 49p so with under half a pack of butter and one onion it isn't going to have cost very much (around £1?).
The soup recipe sounds good but I shall have to wait now as I have used all my garlic up but am looking forwards to that for tomorrow.
Thanks everyone.

Hello everyone
I have managed to eat healthy today but need to get a few days under my belt to wipe out the complete wobble I had for the last two weeks. Think I will cook some tasty stuff tomorrow to keep me on the straight and narrow. Went looking for something nice to wear to an evening reception next week and came home thoroughly miserable. Everything I tried on just made me look horrible. If nothing else, it has strengthened my resolve today, despite a family size bar of Galaxy ( ooooh my fav:EasterBun)
I am not going to the shops again until I feel happier and have hair done etc. That way I might just see something I can get away with.

I've been told a nice easy way to cut down on fat is to have quorn sausages in place of pork. My family were appalled by the suggestion - can anyone tell me if they taste drastically different from meat bangers? Total debt £21,000 :eek:Weight loss to date - 2 st, 2lb:j0

yes they definitely taste different! I've just had some for my tea with mash. IMHO if your family like pork sausages they wont like these:rolleyes: I like them but I'm a virtual veggie apart from fish. When I was a meat eater I didn't like them at all but now they're not too bad.Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Bother, fell off wagon after feeling down about being so good yet not loosing any weight at all for 2 weeks, curry and a chippy dinner later this week I am here to confess my sins with a promise to try to not let it get to me and try to behave myself for the rest of the week
Dinner out with my friends who are up from Surrey at the weekend but will stick to something healthy off the menu and resist a dessert!
One day I might be more organised...........
