Oh! DD and DH went to said balti house in Birmingham and called at Indian Sweet shop as instructed! I did without my chocolate snack today and had some Indian sweets.... but got to bed time and really reallly wanted a hot choc.
Did it the OS way! Well in some respects. 1 level tsp cocoa powder, skim milk and then 1 level measuring spoon of fructose (sweeter than sugar, doesn't spike your blood sugar as much either). Drip of vanilla extract, grating of nutmeg, delish!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Morning all! Not many around yet!
I had an apple and cuppa then decided to wait a bit for brekkie. I think I had it too early yesterday as I was starving rather too soon at lunch!
Breakfast will be porridge I think, or maybe egg, mushroom, tomatoes or something. Porridge might be a safer strategy if I'm worried about feeling hungry too soon.
Snack.... don't know
Lunch: Soup made from left over channa dal from last night and some salad I think.
Snack: 25g chocolate
Dinner: Chicken couscous..... I won't have the couscous, some other carb instead I think. Have made this for dh's benefit. he likes it. I don't see the appeal of such thin gravy/sauce.
Snack: don't normally have an evening snack if I can help it. But it's chorus tonight and I'm always hungry/thirsty afterwards.
Hope you are all doing ok and getting back on the straight and narrow if you aren't!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hi Everyone:hello: After yesterday's gargantuan breakfast I didn't have much else all day and was full up until about 7pm, when I had half a tin of scotch broth and a salad pitta. Still not a great eating day but it could have been worse!
This morning I have had two slices of toast with extra light Philadelphia-type cheese on and after I dropped DD2 off at school I went to the beach and had a walk along the seafront - It was extremely windy though and after only about half a mile I was frozen through and the wind was really hard to walk into, so I returned to the car - but still it was a bit of exercise and beats yesterday when I sat and troffed down a huge high fat breakfast.
Lunch, I think, will be salad with tuna and a cup of soup, followed by an apple, and Dinner will probably be jacket potato with leftover chilli and cottage cheese (its nice honest!) and a green salad, followed by WW yoghurt.
I need to go shopping again and I only went on Monday - DD1 has emptied the fridge and freezer - she had friends round last night and they ate:
4 pizzas (not large ones but still...)
1kg of frozen potato wedges
packet of pittas with most of a whole chicken (in fridge for use today supposedly) and a tub of coleslaw
a box of Cocoa rocks
a packet of chicken sate sticks (bought for packed lunches)
2 litres of apple juice
most of a carton of orange juice
When the boyfriend was leaving DD2 reported that he was taking a carrier bag full of food which DD1 had got out of the cupboards and freezer (he lives in a student house so enough said) and when I said something she gave me a big sob story about how he had no money for food etc etc so I (being the assertive sort) caved and let him take it - at which point he got into the TAXI he had ordered to take him back to his house:mad: No wonder he has no money for food then!!
Reading through the posts you all seem to be doing well resisting when temptation calls - hope it rubs off on me soon!!
Have a great day!Jane
