    Hi All,

So fed up with the PC not working properly that Mr Frog is taking it to his brother's tonight in order for him to , hopefully, fix it. However he isn't known for his ability to do things as a matter of urgency so it may be gone for some time

Hope you will all be good and I'll speak to you all as soon as I can :D

Was quite good last night - had a 2 egg mushroom ommelette with a sprinkle of cheese and 2 slices of wholemeal toast... and a large glass of red wine! (!) AND a tiny (like, less than half) bowl of plain rice krispies..... late though.

    Today:
B: wholemeal toast w/ lime marmalade x 2, cuppa tea
    S: red apple
L: crunchy salad - beetroot, carrot, celery, pepper, baby toms (no dressing), Yeo Valley fat free yoghurt
D: wholemeal pasta w/ HM tomato / red pepper sauce ('magic sauce' as OH calls it!!!)

OH weighed himself this morning (a day early) and he's lost 2 pounds this week, making a total of 5 :) He's a happy bunny x

    Just had to pop back....

Recovering ..you are a better soul than me because i would have thrown a fit
How old are DD1 and DD2? if you offer help out thats different ..but to just take it... i would have blown a fuse... especially as one of them is playing up at the moment...hmm perhaps i need to mellow before we have a family :p

Have to give you huge respect though for keeping control of your eating in the midst of it all :T ... bet that walk blew away the cobwebs :rotfl: ... its like resistance training isn't it...the wind here was like it the other day...god it was hard work....

My niece will is in 6th form at the moment, but im allready planning for her going to uni.. she is looking at Oxford  ..as she is on a young and gifted thing at school that almost guaruntees her a place ..... little smarty pants :rotfl: .. i have started getting together loads of recipes that will save her a fortune and keep her healthy..im going to put them in a lovely book for her...with loads of info..like conversion charts etc... and then closer to the time im going to do her a hamper with lots of the bits n bobs that soon add up..herbs, spices, etc, and as her pressie we are either getting her a small chest freezer or one of those small cooker/grill things with the rings on top for her room (assuming she is allowed them of course)..you can get some brilliant ones out here :D .. im determined she isn't going to live off junk..mind she is a foody so she won't take much guideance :T

Miss Ivy is quite OS and likes her food, is veggie too, so makes sense to make her own stuff. If she decides on Bath, then is all self catered in hall on campus for 1st year. She called with January's module results at lunch time, A in Biol, Psych, Psych coursework A2s and A in AS General Studies. A good start. More to come in the summer of course.

Master Ivy really loves his food, very little he doesn't like and is starting to show an interest in HM, as he's let's say "careful with his money". He's starting to realise that if he wants the level of catering he gets at home, when he goes (and I've told him he's not staying here for ever!!!) then he knows that for a few years he'll be doing it OS.

Remain convinced that Mr Ivy only married me because I can (and do) cook. :rotfl:

Good for food so far today.... That chana dal is soooo filling. Had a plateful of purplesprouting broccoli with a sprinkling of cheese too.

    Hi All,

Went into Gibraltar and weighed in this morning and spent several hours being happy as I thought I'd lost a pound and a half. However, when coming home and putting it on the calendar I realise it's actually more than last Friday (only by a few ounces) so must have remembered wrong. I don't think I wrote it down wrong last week. Still it is TOTM so fingers crossed for next week.

We went out to lunch after the weigh in - with the £10 DS had given me for a Mother's Day lunch. I ordered potato skins with bacon and cheese - calorific I know but at £2.25 for a portion I assumed it would be starter size. However, an enormous plateful turned up, complete with a garlic mayonnaise dip. I tucked in anyway but couldn't finish them - OH did for me. I shall have a very light meal tonight to make up for it. They were delicious though and great value for money so very money saving. We had a walk through Gibraltar so have had some exercise. I did suggest a quick scamper to the beach later but so far OH remains unconvinced.

I bought a load of reduced chicken livers whilst out so am now looking for recipes for chicken liver pate. I used to make a really delicious one, from a Delia recipe I think, but have no cookery books with me. I've also got some lovely smoked fish to make a kedgeree for tomorrow. I also have some overripe tomatoes so need to find a recipe for tomato and basil soup.

B: Muesli with skimmed milk and raisins. Pineapple juice.
L: Potato skins with bacon and cheese and garlic dip. 2 Cokes.
T: not sure but maybe fruit and a bowl of cereal if I start feeling hungry.

Wondered if Frogga may be having pc trouble. Such a pest when she's in her stride at the moment.

Just got back from a half hour walk. I got so envious of you lot all walking the dogs, to the shops and on the beach that I thought I've got to at least try and see if the knees will oblige.
As it was the walk I did takes DH about 10 mins but I don't care... important thing is that its much further than I would normally have got and it gave me a real sense of freedom that I could do it. :D
The carrot in front of the donkey for me was that I checked online and noticed the book I'd requested had arrived at the local library and it was the new Sophie Kinsella! :p I thought I'd be waiting ages for that... then it dawned on me no petrol in my car  . I couldn't wait till tomorrow for OH to get it so I bunged my mules on and took the chance I could make it there and back on foot. :o
I'd already sussed out there was a convenient set of bollards that I could perch on should the knees give out, but thankfully I was spared that indignity.

Totally scoopered now and not feeling at all like cooking dinner or going to see friends tonight but I'm sure a cup of tea will perk me up again.

Sees you all tomorrow folks. :D

Rosewood - just spotted your post. Your dinner sounds lovely, lucky you.
I lost all my Delia's in our house fire a while ago but if no one else has the recipe I'll check out her books in our library and post one up. Can you remember which book it was in?

Well done cheerfulness. You're right, it's not the time it takes you but it's the fact that it's exercise and more than you would normally do - well done.

Rosewood - I could just eat cheesy bacon potato skins with chive dip... sounds lovely - will have to make do with baked potato and cheese on Saturday for lunch as the bacon is for another day ;)

Was good on my walk today - bought the usual pack of tootie frooties but bypassed all the goodies in MrT and settled for mixed fish for a fish pie - and some caramel snack a jacks. They didn't have any ruby oranges though :(

So snacks today have been one pack of snack a jacks, one pack tooties and one apple. Not feeling overly hungry either so that's a bonus :p

MrsM - got any tomato olive sauce recipes with lots of olives? Going to Aldi tomorrow so another jar will find it's way into me trolley otherwise ;):D
