Right have just acquired a pint of milk from work that would've gone off by Monday ;)

Anyone got a milky type recipe for a chicken casserole sauce? Oooh scrub that, I'll use the tin of creamy soup and then use the milk to make Yorkies!!! If not I'll use it to make a white cheesy sauce for the stuffed cabbage leaves :D Or else angel delight :p

    Evening everyone :D

Hope you feel better soon Marie -and well done on the loss :T

So frogga... we have 2 weeks left of fab feb, and then 3 weeks for the easter eggstravaganza???? is that right ?
well i want rid of 4lbs -as that will be 3.5lbs to make my 5st:j and the extra 0.5lb to take me to being a 15st something person :p OK the "something" is 13.5lbs -but its still a 15st something :rotfl: ..so thats my target... will see how i do in the next to weeks of the Feb challenge -and if i do okay i will set a new target for the easter one;)

WELL DONE on the loss keiss :T .thats brilliant :j

Saversarn.. don't give up and leave us  we will only be forced to stalk you on the other threads you know ;)

    Lemonade money -
I don't buy low fat versions very often either-they only replace the fat with something else -sweeteners and the like ..and i only end up using more as in my little head "lower fat means i can eat more" whih is just plain stupid.. so now i have full fat versions of most things -oh except milk as i buy full fat and water it down...a) its cheaper and b) i can't drink full fat anyway :p

Well done on the loss juliejim :T

cheerfulness... i thought cardomom would be "curry like too" :o ..its not its just a bit like lemon zest...realy nice and a something a little different too:D
I am deffinitely gonna make some more but with one banana sliced between the 4 ramekins..nom nom nom

Newlywed -you will have that knocked off in no time :D

Rockie -its okay im addicted to what we call Krisprolls in the UK -i adore them :D

Well my meals today goes like this:-
    1. brekkie -1 of those custards..purely for testing purposes ;)
    2. lunch -HM coleslaw with roast beef -(i make my coleslaw using a spoon of mayo and a spoon of 0% Greek yog and a squeeze of lemon and seasoning-and it makes a huge bowl full) -oh and i had a custard pot..to make sure they were as nice as i thought :p
    3. a couple of apples
    4. and for dinner im just about to have salad with king prawns, steamed potatoes and more coleslaw nom nom nom
Hubby got back from his course early -so tool me to ALDI and treated me to a lemon tree and an orange tree :T ....they are going to sit either side of the french doors... when the frost goes away that is :p

right im off for my dinner folks..hope you all have a good evening
keep at it folks..talk to you soon:D

  • Hiya all,

I haven't had a chance to catch up on todays posts yet as I've been out choosing a new kitchen.

Weighed in today and I've lost 1.75lbs, making my total lost so far 11.25lbs & I've succeeded the Valentines challenge. I need to lose another 1lb to take me down to the 14 stone something. Still have loads to go, but I'm in good spirits at the moment.

    Food today......

Breakfast: Porridge with semi-skimmed milk & raisins. Glass apple juice.

Lunch: Bowl h/m veg & lentil soup with 2 slices wheaten scone with low fat spread.

Dinner: 2 small low fat sausages, boiled potatoes, mashed carrot & parsnip, peas, 1 yorkie & gravy.

Congrats to all the losers and keep going to all who've STS or gained. I'll hopefully get a chance to catch up later. :j
  • Evening all,

    Keiss - wow.. 4lbs! Brilliant :T :T

Well done to Kraftykat and all the others doing well ,too and hugs to those down or poorly like Marie. ;)

Well now I've established that cardamon doesn't smell like cheesy socks or old ladies smelly cardis (you two can not be trusted!:p ) I shall put them on my shopping list for next week and treat the family to custards. :D

I've been checking my pedometer....hmmm so what is usually a decent amount of steps to walk in a day? Not saying what mine says. :o I'm guessing I need to move more.

Got to go put my pie in the oven before having a bath but I don't fancy it much. I fancy the crunchie my dad shoved in my handbag for me.
Just checked and its gone. I said OH should eat it but I didn't bloomin' mean it. He'd just had his toffee crisp. Oh well..... still got cheese and biccies with NCIS tonight. ;)

Speak to you all tomorrow after my weigh in.

Frogga - I'm up for the challenge, I'll WI in the morning and hope to make 7lbs by Easter if that's ok :D

Meanmarie - hope you feel better soon _pale_

MrsM - I used to love Krisprolls until someone told me they were full of hydrogenated fats:eek: I've not had one since :(

I did another shop on the way home so have blown the budget for the February challenge  but am pretty well stocked up now. I've had sweet potato and lentil burgers with new potatoes, brocolli and tomato sauce - I'm full!!!

I'm going to have a glass of wine tonight, no snackajacks 'cos our stupid Asda had none:mad: I hate that shop but Tesco is past my house and I couldn't face the traffic tonight......

See you tomorrow folks :A with my WI result *quakes with fear*

  • Hi All,

Had a very busy day and not as good foodwise as I'd planned. We set off for Gibraltar to climb the Rock but had car problems - with the brakes. We called in at our local mechanics and it turned out to be leaking brake pipe. He said we shouldn't drive it and that he would try to fix it immediately. So we had to abandon plans for climbing the Rock as we needed to drive to the foot. Instead we took the visitors on a dolphin spotting boat trip whilst we waited for the car. It was quite money saving as they couldn't find any dolphins for us to see so gave us free tickets for another day.

Breakfast - the usual muesli, skimmed milk, raisins and pineapple juice.
Lunch - left over chicken in a pitta bread with tomatoes.
Tea - due to the delays with car etc OH decided to treat us all to a takeaway. I chose a chicken pitta(!) but only ate half of it. I also had a dozen of his chips.
Drinks - Coke with the takeaway and one earlier when we were passing time waiting for the car.
Exercise - lots of walking around Gib from garage to boat, back and into Casemates Square to eat.

Baby ate all his blended chicken casserole for tea and seemed to really enjoy it so that was a success. Stepdaughter also gave him mashed banana again for one meal so has not used any tins today - great.

Congratulations all you losers. I wish I could drop weight in such large quantities as some of you are managing. I didn't manage the Valentines challenge but maybe I can be under 11stone by the end of February. Maybe!

I'm still aiming for 11st 7 by the end of February.. and NOT doing very well.. in fact I haven't lost anything I am just fluctuating between 11st 12 and 11st 9.. next week when the chimps are back at school I'll be able to start the HHE again which should help.. failing that.. I'm taking up running!!! I can run 10 yards before I fall to the ground in a panting mess!! I will walk the children to school... and run home.. simple..

Yesterday hubby took me out for a meal at 8pm.. I had a prawn cocktail.. some fishy skewer things with new potatoes and veggies followed by. ... chocolate fondue.. with marshmallows.. but the chocolate was cheap junk so I had marshmallows.. it was meant to come with fruit too.. raspberries *itch* strawberries *double itch* apple *scratch* bananas *ouchy tummy* and.. kiwi fruit *where's the loo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!* .. so I asked not to have those. the only other dessert option was raspberry pavlova... *cue more itching* and hubby had that.. and it didn't even have any raspberries.. but loads of strawberries, pomegranate and blackberries!! .. bizarre or what!!

Other than that and a few spoonfuls of ice cream I hadn't eaten anything all day.. I was even so miserbale I had 1 beer and we were home by 10:15pm...

today.. breakfast wasn't happening.. I had a slice of cheese (I don't like cheese) and a slice of ham at lunch time and dinner tonight I had 2 potato awfles, 2 jumbo sausages and 1/3rd tin beans.

I want it to be sunny again like it was last week.

  • Hi all,

God I'm so tired but wanted to report in before bed, I really like posting once a day, keeps me feeling like I'm on track.

Glad to see a new challenge might be underway. I am still quite new so have missed all so far, would love to get involved.

Mrs. M - thanks for that beef gratin recipe, looks nice, think I might try that. I'm still quite new to OS cooking so appreciate any recipes people are willing to share!

Not a bad day for me:

    B. - no time but had half pineapple mid-morning to make up for it.

    L. - 1 x bowl HM veggie soup, 1 slice spinach tart, orange

    snack - apple

    D. - Veggie stirfry with added asparagus, apple

Snack - lots of Roses choccies!

The Roses keep taunting me, maybe its better that they are just gone and I can't pick at them anymore! :rotfl:

At least its the weekend, I seem to be much better at the weekend, more focussed. I think because my weigh-day is monday I have extra determination in terms of eating well and walking.

Anyway, am going to have 10mins of reading slimmers world mag and then am off to bed.
