Hello everyone - just read through all the posts - Seems everyone is still really motivated. I have managed to do 1500 steps today so far, but will go for walk with dog later and increase this hopefully by about another 4000. I am just so lazy!
Food was okay yesterday and today so far I have had:
Breakfast - smoothie made with strawberries, Flora pro-Active yoghurt, bit of skimmed milk and a spoon on protein powder.
Lunch - (out at shopping centre) bought a lovely Weightwatchers sandwich from Morrisons which I had with a bag of Boots shapers crisps and an apple, plus a bottle of fizzy water.
Dinner - planning to have baked potato, roast chicken, hm coleslaw (using hellmanns extra lite mayo and yoghurt mixed together), lettuce and tomato. Dessert MAY be a Weight Watchers dessert thing which I couldn't resist in Morrison's before as it was reduced - but DD's may get there before me.
I went back to the Doctor's yesterday evening, having spent all day worrying about why they had called me back after my blood tests, to find that there was nothing really wrong with my blood, other than my cholesterol was 5.5 - an increase from 4.5 last October, but given how I have been bingeing over Christmas and beyond then I am not surprised. Dr said she wasn't going to put me on a statin just yet - I will get it re-checked after a couple of months on my new positive eating regime.
Pigpen - if I get sugar crashes then a small glass of fresh orange juice sorts me out. I know what you mean about nuts and seeds too - they upset my gut something wicked! Newlywed - I HATE nutri-grain bars - but then I don't like any of those cereal or chewy type bar things - they are all rank!
One snack I do like is Crackerbread with marmite on - I love marmite and it seems to take the edge of my hunger - I had some last night when I felt like eating loads of carp and it really helped. I also find that a cup of coffee with a tsp of real sugar (as opposed to sweetner) in also helps me to beat cravings - don't know why. But I can't do the 25g of chocolate though - I am like an alcoholic with chocolate - one's too much and 100's not enough....
Mrs M - so they still drink coffee with evap in in Germany? - when I lived there everyone used Dosenmilch in their coffee and it was fab!
Hope you are all having a good day!Jane

Eeeeuuuuwwww!Dosenmilch! SORRRY! I should say "Dosenmilch isn't to my taste." It's when it's offered with TEA!!!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hi everyone- I was like a woman possessed last night I had 6 shortbread fingers and loads of sweets I found in the cupboard last over from xmas, and 2 pieces of malt loaf and then sausage casserole and new pots.
Today
B nana, 2 plums
S yoghurt, 2 clementines
L tuna salad, 100 cal crisps, milky way x 2
I am SO tired today. I am going "jogging" tonight, even though I don't feel like it at all.
D- ??? Something healthy and low on carbs they bloat me something rotten.
Any tips for constipation?Even though I am drinking hot water & lemon, loads of water through the day and loads of fruit I just cant go!
(Sorry for the too much information- feel free to ignore!)Compulsive Spendaholic #150 -
My tip for your 'problem' would not to ignore it if it is a regular (sorrrryyyyy) occurrence. Or even if it's a major one-off. I really feel this is important."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hi everyone
Had a lousy start to the morning cos I had a really long but sad dream. Is it just me or does anyone else feel their mood lighten or darken according to their dreams? Probably my meds.
B/L/ So far today Pringles and Thorntons toffee
I know, I know... What am I doing? So have decided to post to draw a line under it. Have just tried Purpleivy's relaxation and it is fab. Am going for a quick bath and then getting out even if it's just for 20 mins.
Hope you are all doing well.0 -
I find relaxing very annoying  and sitting still in the bath is boring :rolleyes:Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Day just gets better and better. Ran the bath, put lovely smelling rosemary stuff in it to relax me. Went away to phone OH and get a drink of water and had forgot to put stopper down in plug. No bath .........:rotfl:
I'm not surprised you find baths boring. If I lived in a pond, I would be bored with baths as well.0 -
