Hi folks
Back again. Had a tough week due to feeling poorly and on different meds. Ended up just eating junk and not doing any exercise at all. Hey- ho, trying to convince myself to start again tomorrow. Intend to have a healthy day food-wise and if I manage that it will make me feel better.
Losers are doing well, esp Frogga. Wonder just how long it would take me to lose 18lb?
Nighty- night0 -
Hey, well done that Frogga:T - that's fantastic!!!!!!!!
Nothing nearly so spectacular to report here, just a pound for me!0 -
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACKIE W :bdaycake:

morning all :hello:
i'm feeling very good this morning as i've already done a workout!
WI tonight, feeling a little nervous. Certain I won't lose as much as the green one
mhe don't worry about the lb on, like you said, could have been worse. i think i may be reporting a gain later:o
Jackie W sorry missed that fact it was ur birthday - hope it was a good one.
droopydrawers a lb is still a lb. just visualise that lb as an actual lump of lard, then you will appreciate the loss more (it helps me anyway - occasionally i've even weighed out an actual lb of lard to remind myself!)
Belindabear big hugs. Hope you're feeling better soon.
purpleivy the low GL stuff sounds good to me. i've been thinking about it myself as Dr has told me i'm at risk of developing diabetes (DS was 10lb 1 at birth  - apparently an indicator) but i'm just not sure i could do w/out some of my carbs!!
pigpen you are ever such a busy piggy family!! :j
sillyvixen well done, you've done excellently. :T if just reading and not posting helps you then i think thats great. stick with it.
right must be off now, DS out of bed and calling me.
:hello: to anyone not mentioned - MRSM, Frogga, newlywed, taplady, cheerfulness, saversarn, rockie, etc etc etc!! :rotfl:
b: weetabix or porridge - depends what i fancy

Heck Pigpen - Could this be No 9?? And you know your love of even numbers... you'd have to make it up to 10. I'd be saving up for a bigger sofa if I was you.
Belindabear - hope you'll be feeling better soon and Sillyvixen I'm glad you're doing so well and can get your op over soon.
It was interesting to hear Purpleivy's comment about WW's customers. My mum and her friends persuaded me to go with them just after DS1 was born. 18 years on and they are still trying to persuade me to join in, cheerfully saying that I'd get this weight off in no time.
I know they mean well and are trying to support me but why are they still there and overweight?Sad that they still believe its them that is at fault and not that the method doesn't work for them.
Food today:
Weetabix
HM Pea and ham soup
Vegetable spring roll with singapore noodles and steamed veg.
Snacks - apples and mandarins. (I'm starting to get sick of latter)
Have a good days everyone and all the best for any weigh ins today.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Just struck me reading through this thread, like most here I am a long term serial dieter, I wonder how much money I have handed over to the diet industry over the years:eek: And how much I have paid to slimming world/weight watchers/ slimming magazine clubs etc:o. I feel more motivated by you lot (rough old bunch of misfits that you are;)) and I get more support and hear more common sense on here than I ever got from paying a fiver a week:T
My friend has spent thousands on slimming magazines, pills, diet clubs and every piece of exerciese equipment going and still hasn't made it to be slim!
shame she doesn't have the internet or I'd enrol her here!:D
purpleivy - I am a fan of the GI way of eating and lost 1 and a half stone following Rick Gallops low GI diet but found it hard to stick to long term, I think I needed the support of others at the time too instead of going it alone. Now with you lot behind me I cant go wrong can I:D I do try and follow GI such as eating little and often and trying to cut out sugar and caffeine if I can.Porridge for breakfast etc. Lots of fibre. Hope it works out for you!
am off to work later untill tomorrow evening then its weigh in, hope to stop the same if possible. Am taking some food to work as I'm not sure whats on the menu. Butternut squash soup, jacket spud and a quorn cottage pie should help see me through till tomorrow evening.
Hope you are all being good!;)Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Thanks for all the support yesterday everyone, it was just what I needed!
Have dragged myself out of the vat of self-pity today and am back on the wagon.
