    Hi All,

Well done Frogga, I only wish I could lose a quarter of that in a month. I don't even seem to be able to lose 18oz!!

We have warm sunny weather again here so I've been lying out in the sun with a book wearing very little. Don't worry, it's very quiet during the week so no chance of being spotted by anyone except OH (who thinks I'm gorgeous whatever!).

I've skipped several of the milky coffees today and had very weak blackcurrant squash with ice every time OH has had a drink. He tends to put the kettle on at very regular intervals. We shall be going for our walk on the beach shortly and I will give the new pedometer another try.

I was up early this morning to write my weekly article and had a coffee and banana then, before going to bed for another hour after it was submitted.

2nd Breakfast: Muesli with skimmed milk and raisins. Pineapple juice.
Lunch: 3 crackers with scraping of butter and Camembert. Cherry tomatoes. Plum.
Dinner: Chicken fillets cooked with garlic, potatoes and onion, mushrooms, peas. Orange.

I've been lurking, watching you all and would like to thank you for your inspiration. I got weighed this morning and I've lost 14lb since the 21st Jan (about 6 weeks I think), only another 49lbs to go but I am just 7lbs off my first target so I'm well chuffed since I'm not even feeling deprived of anything! :D (Started off at 15st7lbs and my target is 10st 13lbs or whenever I feel comfortable ;) ) WHEN I reach 12st 9lbs I'm going to celebrate as that will be the lightest I can recall being since puberty! :D By my calculations, IF I manage to loose 2lb every week (which is what I'm aiming for) then I can be at my target weight by September and if I could manage to get another 14lbs off by Christmas I'll be really happy. :D

Already I'm having to dig out some smaller clothes and I've had to buy a belt that is size "Large" for the first time EVER :D Usually everything I buy is extra-large, and I've had to buy size 16 knickers as the size 18 ones I have are loose yet I can only get into a size 18/20 jeans  I can also fasten a jacket I bought 4 years ago when I was at my slimmest, now I just need to reduce the size of my chest and I'll be able to wear it out without looking like a stuffed turkey :rotfl: Looking forward to being able to buy size 16 CLOTHING, not just underwear :rotfl: Thank you all!

  • Well done Frogga! 18lbs is wonderful - Even I (she who likes to lose 2 stone a month) would be really made up with that. You must have stuck to it rigidly. It has really inspired me to keep at it.

Mrs M - 7500 steps already - guess how many I have done today so far? 193:o - I didn't do the school run this morning so haven't done much other than walk from the living room to the kitchen and look in the fridge about 10 times! I have always done that - looking in the fridge - I don't know why because the contents aren't going to change but I always have that little hopeful feeling when I open the door.

The bariatric surgeon rang me up before to ask me about how I was feeling about it all. I asked him some more questions and have now terrified myself even more. Apparantly when you come round from the operation you have to go to the high dependency unit and you have a drip, a naso-gastric tube and a catheter. He also told me that the joins where they have re-sectioned your bowel can leak and cause peritonitis (which can be fatal) but he said that he would just operate again if that happened and get this? If the leak happens within the first 30 days of you having the operation, then you are covered by the original £10,900 fee but after 30 days YOU HAVE TO PAY AGAIN! I left it that I would see him again on 3rd April but I am much less convinced that it is the right thing to do now. I need to really stick to my eating plan for the next four weeks. If I can lose 18lbs in that time like Frogga just has then I think I would be spurred on to continue alone and not resort to surgery.

    Happy Birthday JackieW

Pigpen - are they just messing or do you really have 8 kids? Wow! if you do then you have my utmost admiration - I have 2 and they have driven me to the point of insanity (and also bankruptcy) on occasion!

Nikki - we cross posted but that is a wonderful achievement - well done!

Well done frogga :j - that's nearly as much as I've lost during the last 10 months

Well have to say I have been craving chips for the last 2 weeks so finally gave in and bought low fat oven chips - didn't have a huge amount of them but it was definitely what I'd been wanting to eat. ;)

Treated myself on friday to a bunch of flowers - only £1.79 but they make me happy :D

Just went out and had a look in charity shops for new clothes.... bought a monsoon evening dress (lovely lacey one) in a size 12 - very figure hugging and would benefit from me being a couple of lbs less so I can breathe in it better - but for a fiver I wasn't going to leave it in the shop ;) Just found my motivation to carry on being good with food and then hopefully it will still fit me when have some sort of occasion to wear it :p

    Well done Frogga, :T :T :T A great result! :D
So is the next weigh in on GF for you?

I know others have lost too but I'm struggling with names.. 2lbs was lost by someone I remember and well done to Nicki on that 14lbs loss too. :T

Seems we're all oozing positivity with the losses and the fresh starts. What a lovely atmosphere on here. Really zings you along, doesn't it? :D

Pigpen - that's a lovely photo. My DH was one of 7 and loved it.

Meal plan totally mashed up today as the boys have announced they've been invited out to tea. They only knew last Thursday so I couldn't really expect to know earlier than an hour ago, could I? :wall:
Oh well, easier to feed OH and myself as we eat anything. Shall save pasta dish as its their favourite and choose something else when hubby gets in.

Away to cross stitch and generally laze around. :D
