    Helloooo

I joined a week or so ago but haven't been back since to report my monthly loss - 2lb  Hardly seems worth it!! I'm hoping for 7lb this month and hope that by planning my weekly meals I can work out in advance how many points i'm having.

Does anyone know of a calorie / sugar free but tasty alcoholic wine! I think this is my downfall.... DH and I used to consume a bottle a night  but try to restrict to weekends now and will have probably 3 bottles over a weekend.... Think maybe I need an AA thread instead :D

Best of luck to everyone for their weight loss, Keep up the good work :T
    :j Mortgage Free!! )

  • Hi Everyone - good luck to all today's weighers - hope you are pleased with your loss Frogga - I'm sure you will have done wonderfully, but I know just where you are coming from with regard to feeling disappointed that you haven't shifted enough weight- That is often my downfall - I just want to do a diet for a week and end up slim!

Breakfast has been cereal with skimmed milk and sweetner, and I am planning to have cup of soup and wholemeal bread sandwich for lunch, and jacket potato with salad and chicken for tea. However..... I went for some blood tests last week and the Doctors receptionist has just rung up and said the results are in and I need to make a routine appointment - nothing urgent just within the next month or so. I asked what the problem was and she said that it was something on the renal profile so now I am in a mad panic - I get so worried about stuff like this - I feel all panicky and sick - I am all worried. I told the receptionist that I would find it hard to wait for a few weeks for an appointment (the first one they could offer me was end of March) so she said they might be able to fit me in later on this afternoon - I have to ring back at 1.30. I have had loads of blood tests before and never had a problem but I am just bricking it now...

Anyway will check back later - hope you are all having a great day!

    Morning everyone,

Well its a winter wonder land where I am today.

Today, Im having a day off, cos, its my birthday. I have a bag of Thorntons toffee-chocs and a thornton fudge pieces chocolate bar, Watch this space, by 12 noon they will be gone :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . Nah I wont eat them all myself, I'll keep some for DH and the 2 kids, well, i'll keep them one each anyway:p .

Seriously, Im going to have a good day today, and Im not going to bother about my eating. For dinner we are meant to be going out, however, if this snow keeps up, I doubt we will be going anywhere, oh well, never mind.

Not working today, so, will catch up on the past weeks events later on, after ive finished my housework.

    Hope your all well.

    Jackie xx

Right I'm back in and starting a fresh, like some others. New month, new me and all that malarkey. Just counted and I have 19 weeks til my holiday in Portugal - 20 of us, adults and kids, in a massive villa on the Algarve, private swimming pool, looks gorgeous. So 19 weeks - a lb a week would get me to the 10 stone mark and I would be more than happy with that. Only fly in the ointment right now is it looks like my trigeminal neuralgia is coming back  and I am dreading it getting bad and having to go back on medication. The meds were the reason I put on nearly 2 stone last year and coupled with all the hideous side effects I am having a proper lip wobble about it right now.

Well done to all losers, you're all brilliant. Frogga - crossing everything a lady can cross and stay decent ;) for you. Good luck everyone, this thread is the only reason I keep trying to get back on track.

Bright side - one good thing about having TN is that the pain makes it a bloody nightmare to eat *sucking porridge gingerly off a spoon* clouds and silver linings anyone? :o

Makes you wonder how many times over the years pigpen has had a scalded tummy with her 8 littlees. :p

ONCE!!... I was eating chicken soup when hugely pg with number 4 and number 2 decided to have a strop and knocked up over.. I did't dare to go the GP as it was mainly my faff that was burned!!.. I did set the front of my top on fire once though.. and singed it hundreds of times over the years!!

Weight loss for last week - 0

target for this week - 3lb

I am actually weirdly pleased about this result - after such a mixed week I was expecting to gain! Will be working extra hard this week, losing 3lb would mean a total loss of 1 stone so will really go for it.

Good luck Frogga and all you other ladies weighing in today.

I agree Mrs M that your point about 1lb a week really helped. I worked out that to reach my target will take approximately 8 months, quite a daunting prospect. But the thought that every little bit is going towards the final goal is a nice one.

Anyone got any winning tips on how to stop myself weighing myself everyday!!!?? :D I just can't resist, as soon as I wake up I'm literally running to the scales. Unfortunately I can't hide them as mum and dad are both weight watching too. Any tips for resisting the scales between mondays anyone?

    Food for today:

    B. - 1 x shredded wheat with semi skimmed

    L. - microwaveable fish pie (I know! )

    D. - HM chicken, mushroom and leek pie with broccoli

    Snacks/treats - fruit and yoghurts

As this week is extra-effort week I have bought no choccie or alcohol in order to force myself towards the fruit bowl when hungry :rotfl: .

And will keep up with the excercise, am off for my hours walk in about 30mins.

Have a great start to a new week everyone, will be back later to check out all those who are weighing in!!
