RS.. Rockie and I are having the weekend off (I've come to spy onyou all!!) and then we are having a new start on Monday.. neither of us have lost weight the entire time we have been here.. my problem is.. I am not committed enough I know I want to lose weight, I know I HAVE to lose weight but I can't bring myself to deprive myself of the things I like.. that said Idon't eat a huge amount, most of what I do eat is cooked from scratch but I eat loads of it!! I am trying portion control but because I know I can get seconds.. I do. I am trying to dish out dinner and freeze immediately what is left over so it isn't available for seconds.
You can do this on your own.. we can just all aspire to the extremely high standards set by some of our members here and just keeo swimming.. in the words of the great Dory!!
I've snaffled a tangerine for breakfast.. and 2 cuppas.
I think I need something like the WW online thing to keep me on track so I KNOW what I have tipped down my throat and I know when I have had a good day.. and when I haven't.. I did quite well on that before but can't afford the £10 a month now.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Had to laugh as this is happening in my house today, too. I'm waltzing around scanning the fridge, freezer and cupboards looking for that elusive 'something.' I think it must have been pastry because settled again now but this is what I got through first:
1 weetabix
sml handful of gammon and mustard peanuts
2 ryvita with blue brie spread on
1 dried apricot
tsp chocolate ice cream
An apple
Slice bread & butter with apricot jam
1/3 family chicken & mushroom pie with red cabbage, brussels, spinach and tsp butter.
Haven't even got round to making my chocolate eclairs yet and not really fancying one now. Still, they freeze. If I do possibly feel hungry again today I shall have my planned egg salad sandwich.
Right.. feel much better now I've got written that up so now I can forget about it.
Shall see you all tomorrow. Can't miss the main event, can I, Frogga?;)
Hmm as an after thought... anyone else had those Morrisons chicken and mushroom pies they knock out at £2.79 a throw. They should be called mushroom and yucky white sauce... there was a leap of joy if you got a decent size piece of chicken. Thank goodness I paid pence in the reduced section. No comparison with HM pies.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Hi everyone
Happy Mothers Day to all you mummys out there, go easy on those chocs.
Weigh day tomorrow  , not expecting great news but have really regained my focus over the weekend so will be ok whatever the result, am not prepared to pack it in yet!
Food day:
Brunch - beans on toast
Dinner - mothers day tea for mum, consisting on mini sandwiches, few little buffet foods and a strawberry layered dessert. Bit naughty but I find this sort of food very filling, not easy to eat loads.
Will let you know results tomorrow, hopefully it won't be a total disaster :rotfl::eek: Total debt £21,000 :eek:Weight loss to date - 2 st, 2lb:j0 -

Hi All,
Well the good weather is well and truly back (24C in the shade) so hopefully the heat will help me not eat so much. Thanks for the words of comfort Cheerfulness and Mrs M re visitors and bad weather. Hopefully the lbs will start dropping off this month.
We visited a large Sunday market this morning. They have loads of stalls selling English books so I took some old ones in and came home with some new ones. I took 6 old ones and managed to come back with 3 for the princely sum of 2 euros with swaps etc. We also got given 2 fabric bags which were part of a marketing promotion which will be great for our shopping at Lidl. Both contained a pen and 2 boiled sweets - which somehow have already been eaten!
The market also has a German stall selling homemade burgers and sausages so we decided to treat ourselves. We ordered 2 but were served 2 buns with a burger in each half bun (so 4 burgers all together). We weren't sure if it was how they came or a language problems - but never mind. I gave my bread bun to OH and ate 1 1/2 of the (very meaty, non fatty) burgers and shared a can of coke with him.
I tried out my new pedometer but I am really disappointed with it. I bought an expensive one (£19.90) hoping it would be really reliable. However, it won't register any steps around the house, only counts steps on one foot when out for a walk and doesn't register any steps on the beach or if walking slowly (as in round the market). We did our normal beach walk which normally takes us around 50 minutes, most of it at a rapid pace and it said I'd only done 1770. I'm beginning to think it was a waste of money. It won't register any of the walking I did on the sand and the very steep walkway up off the beach it decided took only 5 steps!! I am sure I can at least treble the number I did on the walk and maybe more.
Food today hasn't been too bad.
B: Muesli with skimmed milk and raisins. Pineapple juice
L: 1 1/2 burgers - no bread. 1/2 can Coke.
Snack: 2 slices eggy bread. OrangeBowl of tomato soup, bread roll. Plum
Had a text from DD on Friday night to say she was on her way to Rome as a surprise weekend treat from her boyfriend so looking forwards to hearing about that when she gets back to the UK tonight. She sent a Happy Mothers Day text this morning so wasn't too engrossed in romance to remember. DS sent an email and had put some money in my account to go out to lunch with so have that to look forwards to.
Fingers crossed for the mass weigh ins tomorrow.

Not a bad food day, last night had half a roll (am trying to avoid wheat, but they were fresh out of the oven and delish!) also lots of cleanings out of celebration cake bowls. Is it cooincidence that I felt really bloated?
Cereal today, muesli type. Roast dinner with pork etc. Pineapple and macaroon for pud. My macaroons are sooooo light, they're mostly air. Will have some salad later. There is fresh bread again, but I must really try and resist. I have some GF flour, but not got round to making it into anything yet.
Kids have extended drama rehearsal and I'm chauffeuse today.
See you in a while."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hi all,
Just had a lovely Roast followed by a small piece of Nigellas Pear and Chocolate pudding' with hm hot chocolate sauce and wine- all of which was obligatory as it's Mothers day:p
Anyway I did a nice walk into town earlier and notched up nearly 12k on the pedometer:D
Rosewood when I walk at a normal pace for ten minutes flat it's usually about 1000 steps- so I think you are clocking up loads more than you think!
Mrsm I have a question- I want to make a tumeric rice with almonds garlic raisins apricots etc in using basmarti rice (low GI !) if I make a big batch will it freeze ok? I've never frozen anything like that before and thought it might be good for take to work lunches. Re swimming- I am an old timer poolside DD2 has been competing at quite a high level for about 6 years now- as soon as she was 17 she got a car... no more up at 5am to take her training then back again after school anymore - mind you I blamed that for me putting on weight funny how once I stopped doing it the weight didn't fall offI enjoy watching her swim so galas are a bit of a treat now.
Oh yes nearly forgot when I was in town I treated myself to a new walking top (half price in Millets- I'm such a sex goddess:cool:) but had to drive back once I'd tried it on as it was too big:rotfl:
Anyway I'd best go good luck to all those weighting in tomorrow or having a fresh start0 -
Hello folks :hello: I'm here spying too!!:D
Nice to know that there are LOTS of us restarting on Monday and of course Monday we get to hear how much the Frog has lost :j
I've enjoyed my eating the last couple of days, I've eaten a lot but haven't pigged (although I did drink quite a bit at that 'do' on Friday:o )
I've spent the morning dismantling and moving a greenhouse at the allotment - we were given it for free provided we moved it, hows that for:money: Lots of calories burned as well!
Pigpen - I was going to go back to a SW class but the financial situation at the moment says I can't  so we'll have to make do with each other and the rest of our friends on here. Have you looked at WW core plan? You can get a flavour for it on the WW community boards and I can PM you the list if you want it
RS - lovely to have you back!!:T You sound really positive. You go girl and let that surgeon know he won't be making a fortune out of you :T
JoJoB - Swimming is great when you're preggers, the water takes the weight and it's sooooo relaxing! I was swimming the day before No2 was born
Well. I'm going to go and have my tea, I'll have a glass of wine tonight. New WI in the morningReady to start afresh. Just done my first shop online with MRT:eek: which arrives on Tuesday night (it's cheaper then) but I've got enough healthy stuff to keep me going!!
Bye for now :A0
