    Morning all

Benthosboy... Sorry it was such a drastic event that lmade you lose the weight in the 1st place..but hopefully, once things settle down and you get to grips with that cooking for 1 -you will soon start to eat better and feel much healthier ;) , you will soon be looking a sprightly 42 again :p

Morning frogga...hope you have a great weekend mrs ...not long now :T

Taplady.... im so glad my hubby isn't much of a fan of sweet stuff...apart from ice cream. Mind, im also glad he I rarely shop with him either ;) ... not only does it save us a fortune, but it save us heck knows how many extra cals ;)
Tell Mr tappy -next time he wants egg custard he can make some of those cardomom custards.... just use nutmeg instead of the orange and he can "make do" :rotfl: tell him we are only thinking of his health :p

I have allready had my weetabix this morning... lunch will be a salad of some sort and dinner...well i haven't got that far yet :rotfl:

I have a loaf of bread sat in the bowl, im in the midst of making a batch of spicy goulash soup and one of pork casserole for hubbies flasks..... have a gammon out of the freezer and when thats cooked the stock will become pea n ham soup -with mint in this time, and then tomorrow its chicken -so the stock will make a batch of chicken n sweetcorn soup... so that will be most of hubbies lunches for the month... although i have some little pasta for minestrone soups -some little tiny squares and some tiny little hoops (only 45c for a 250g box)-so i make some kind of concoction with those for a change too ;) Oh and i want to make a double batch of tortilla dough to freeze... so i have quite a bit to do today -lets see how far i get:rotfl:

right i had better get off... have a great day everyone.... keep at it
and good luck to anyone weighing in....
hello to anyone not mentioned :D

    Nearly missed you student girl
Hello and welcome on board... go on as much as you like...we all do it ;)
You won't be on your own doing SW...Taplady does that too...hhmmm and has recently reached her target :T ...so im sure you will get help there ;) as well as from the rest of us :D ....

    Morning everyone,

Havent been on for a few days, been busy busy busy. Havent been that bad with my eating, still had chocolate but still alot less than before.

FROGGA Ive been reading that Allen Carr book, its really good, and makes loads of sense. Also, have been listening to the Paul Mckenna CD, its brill. Feeling very very positive this time:j .

Have no idea what Im doing for meals today, I really must get my thinking cap on.

Oh oh oh wait till I tell you. I LOST 1LB:j :j :j
Dont know how I managed it, but, i did.
I know I posted my weight and alot of people probably think I shouldnt lose anymore, but, I could still be doing with loosing a little bit (maybe not as much as 14lbs). The only people who tell me that I shouldnt lose any more weight is DH and my sister in law, BUT, whenever I speak to my Mum or my sister, they say "Oh your okay are you are your CHUNKY"!!!!!!!!!!
Oh get me wrong, I dont think they mean it in a bad way.

Anyway, Im babbling again. Im off for a shower.
    Speak to you all soon.

    Jackie xx

I know what you mean TL, I don't like the flavour of onions (leeks, chives, etc.,) or garlic. I am 100% better than I used to be as I keep trying to have a little of the flavour. I wonder if you rubbed your pot round with garlic rather than putting in pieces she could see and build her up slowly would help, as it certainly restricts you eating out, and if she goes off to uni later spag bol and pasta with garlic becomes their staple diet usually. I use bouquet garnet, bay leaves, sage, rosemary, etc., and am now trying a little mustard, knowing what it is as I put it in helps as this sometimes tastes like onions to me.:o DG

thanks DG:T its my hubby who hates garlic - yet he eats it in a curry when we go out:rolleyes: I use mixed herbs, basil, oregano, thyme and mustard in cheese sauce which he loves. Now I've given up meat I need something to liven up my veggies. Think I'm going to be sneaky and put a miniscule amount in then like you suggest build him up!:D

MRSM - any chance you could PM me the custard recipe as I stupidly didn't kep it when you posted it! Luckily he's eaten it all now! but there's still 4 small coffee cakes left! might freeze them and give them to him one at a time! I, as you know have a terrible sweet tooth but I've asked the boys not to buy choccies for mothers day.

Frogga - hope you can be good till weigh in!;)

Am trying to be good now till my holiday (in a weeks time) so I have a few pounds spare to play with - we will have to have some of the delicious Mousehole fish and chips and knowing Mum several cream teas!:D - we are going to Mousehole for a week, me, Mum and my DS1, DH is stopping at home to keep an eye on DS2 who is supposed to be working hard for his GCSEs. Mum is Cornish so no doubt we will be visiting her relatives too.

    Food plans for today are

    B - mini weetabix(fruit and nut)

L - something eggy - got lots of eggs, maybe eggs on toast

D - HM quorn chilli and rice

snacks - got some bananas that need eating up. grapes, low fat yoghurt.

hope you all have a good weekend!
    Do what you love :happyhear

    Morning all,

Will try and put last night behind me.

Had good brekkie this morning, although someone had snaffled the last of the cold skimmed milk! Grrrrrr. Don't know about food for later.

Someone somewhere posted a recipe for a quiche without pastry, anyone know anything about that? Will do a search later. It will help me to have what everyone else is having tonight....quiche... minus the pastry. DD's bf here, so will have to make an effort with the meal. Don't really feel like making an effort with anything this morning. Had been feeling so much better.

    Morning everyone. :)

Overslept again  but woken up to dazzling sun and DH back from a mad rush into work earlier. Now the weekend has begun for us. :D

    Wecome Studentgirl.

Well done Marie, JackieW and Skintbutsmiling :T :T :T

Just hopped on the scales and I've lost 3 1/2 lb so I'm a happy bunny. :j That means that pesky 1 1/2 lb 'gave in' and another 2 besides.
I've lost 2st 1 1/2 lbs now and it feels SO good! :D I've been able to throw away the extender on my bra  . You know those elastically things they make that fill the gap when your straps won't meet. What a relief! It feels far more feminine to just wear a pretty bra without that.

    Food today:
chocolate biccie (DS2 had it in my mouth before I thought):o
Salmon and cucumber sandwich  (and it was on BOGOF so all the sweeter)
Chicken supreme with rice and steamed veg

Snacks - apples, cheese and biccies

    Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Oh just remembered.. the GF challenge. hmmm what to set? It's only 3 weeks isn't it so I think that I'll make my goal 6lbs. That way I will be the lowest that I've been in 14 years, when I had DS2. He's not seen me that low and DS1 won't remember me less either. He was too young. So that it... 6lbs for me. Plus that will make me into the 19's then. :D

    Aww thanks MrsMc. :o

DH has just been going over my maths in my 'weigh in' book... I'm sad and have a weigh in ledger besides my Grocery challenge ledger and my food diary  and he has discovered that I've lost 2st 2lbs so I'll have to update my sig. Have gone from 22st 5lb to 20st 3lb.

And whoever mentioned about a lb a week equally nearly 4 stones a year has my undying gratitude. What a lovely way to think of it and I could certainly live with it if thats how its to be for me. ;)
