Hi all. Hugs to those that need them
queenpig - think you need to give yourself a bit of a break, allow yourself to grieve and maybe put your healthier choices onto the back burner for a little bit until you feel more able to deal with it.
My meals today are:
Porridge
Left over pasta (doesn't look very appetising but the only thing left at home to go in a sarnie is pickle or choc spread)
Tea will be fish pie with some basic salmon and some left over prawns - all from the freezer.
Got stressed out last night but didn't pig out which was good. Elec meter was on emergency with only £1 left so I put my last £4 on the key and it wouldn't take it. Rang the leccy company and they said you need to put another couple of quid on to bring it out of the emergency money for it to show up. I said well that's great the whole point is I don't have £2. They suggested I get it from "somewhere" They said the only other thing they can do is send a new key in case it's faulty, and then send the old one back and they will check if the £4 is on the key - slight problem in that £1 won't last more than a day and we wouldn't get any replacement key until Weds eve when we came home from work   So customer services was no help whatsoever.
Thankfully OH had some in the bank so borrowed off him and put more on the key.
So from payday (weds hopefully) I will be changing my budget for gas, elec, food, petrol etc and will allocate a set day each month to put set allocation of money on. If it doesn't last at least hopefully it will just be a day or two spread through the month rather than being broke, with no food, no gas, hardly any elec and only just enough petrol to last the final week or more  It's starting to do my head inworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Hi all,
weight loss this week - 1lb
Musrt confess, I am slightly disappointed by this week. I had a bit of a blow-out sunday night due to party and had leftovers yesterday so not a great few days. I keep telling myself not to be silly, it may only be 1lb this week but it adds up to 11lb over 3 weeks which is good.
Aim for this week ia 3lb weight loss in order to achieve my personal 'lose a stone by march 1st' challenge.
Anyone got a new challenge for us to start in march? Total debt £21,000 :eek:Weight loss to date - 2 st, 2lb:j0 -
I finished work early yesterday, and had 2 crackers w/ low fat cream cheese when I got in... for dinner was HM pizza (with minimal cheese, ham and mushroom) and a yoghurt later on (cold, have sore throat). Bit naughty.
Today:
B: slice of leftover HM pizza!
L: ham salad wrap w/ tiny bit of cream cheese, carrots, celery, baby tomatoes, orangeSpaghetti Bolognaise (wholewheat pasta)
Desert: muller light

weigh in tonight, have resisted hopping on the scales so far but i might go have a peek in a minute!!
today-
bfast - weetabix
l: either soup or a cheese toasty and banana
s: yoghurt / clementines
d: bacon & pesto pasta (after weigh in as, hopefully, a little reward!!)
MRSM the mention of feta has got me all hungry now! and I agree about the binge then starve issue, I think I'd be prone to that if I weighed monthly.
Have ordered myself a yoghurt maker this morning....I found some good reviews of them, anyone have any opinions?!
Also I've been lookin at buying a mincer, they have one on lakeland that can also do pasta and sausages. Has anyone tried it? Is it worthwhile?
Have a good day everyone!!
xx
I was attracted by the idea of making my own sausages when I saw the mincer in the new Lakeland catalogue. I'm going to have a go with my gran's hand mincer to see how they taste first, then if I like it will try and get the mincer past the committee! I like the idea of choosing how much fat and what sort of seasoning go in them."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

thats was my thinking too. also means i can mince up any leftovers. my mum is always preaching about mincers. also sausages are soooooooooo full of bread most of the time - unless you buy from a butcher but often then they are not :money: . plus OH fave type of meat is sausages.
the yoghurt maker i bought is the bio-pot one from lakeland - anyone know if its good?
i love the lakeland catalogue!!

Hi Toniwotty
I have an electric mincer/sausage maker and it more than earns its keep, and at least i know whats in them
The machine doesn't have to come out very often as i use the recipes from a book i got and i think last time i made a batch of about 50 pork n herb and 40 pork/beef n tomato...which will last us quite a long time as we only have sausages once a week - and they last much longer as i don't add rusk, fillers etc they are pure meat -so we eat less :T
It is the one machine in my kitchen that would never be parted with -not unless i want to see my huby cry :rotfl:
I posted a recipe a while back...and i think it was cheerfulness (sorry if im wrong) who made them without skins to see if it was worth buying a machine and they were a hit with her family :j
I think they are deffinitely a good buy...im keeping my eyes out for a bigger stronger machine now... makes it much quicker to mince etc
Sorry -forgot to say well done Chloebelle :T ...-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Hi All,
I'm not sure about when/if I will weigh myself. I find I can become a bit obsessed and get disheartened if I haven't lost as much as I think I should have...so I will keep thinking about that one.
Anyway, yesterday I had my tea, so managed no picking between meals, though I did have a bottle of Spitfire, which was lovely...!
Today, I've had a slice of toast with butter on for breakfast and I'm having a chicken kiev, savoury rice and lettuce and tomato for lunch. I'm not sure about tea. I've run out of budget for shopping so I'll have to make something up. I'll look in the freezer later...0
