    Morning all

If you are using a cheddar i would just go for the strongest you can find... you need less that way..i always found reduced cal cheese really bland.. You can get lower fat mozarella in most supermarkets now.. the ones in the bag of liquid..but ompare the cals/fat with the normal version -as quite often there isn't much difference apart from the price ;)
When i do pizza -I use mozarella -but then instead of cheddar i grate over some fresh parmesan..its soo strong -you use very little :j and it doesn't go greasy like cheddar;)

    Cheddar - 400cals /100g
    Mozzerella - 280/100g

    I'd go for mozzerella!

Back later folks, boss has just arrived ;)

Not a lot in it aaroncaz - cheddar 116 per oz and moz 88 per oz. Then you have to weigh up which you'd use more of for flavour. I like moz but my boys hate the stringiness of it.

I'll put my A-Z of cals away now and drink my coffee. :D

Thanks, shall go with the moz :D
  • Mhe - well done on the loss. Weird how the scales do that isn't it? I remember my second week I jumped on mid week and was thrilled to see a few lbs gone. Was all excited for the Sat weigh in as I'd been really good the next 3 days and not an ounce more had gone. I was really narked and have never got on mid weighin since. :p

Ohh look at me showing my age with my imperial measurements and the others girls up to date with their metric. ;)

Food today: (frankly after all that bread yesterday I don't fancy any - very bad sign :o)
    Yoghurt & honey
    Grilled herby tomatoes on toast
    Chicken salad with apple coleslaw

Snacks- Mandarins (who said they got the back of their throat, they do that to me everytime!) and apples

Away to get DS2 up who is hiding in his bed thinking I'll forget its a work day.

When i was at WW i even used to do that on a weekly basis... weigh day and a couple of days after -eat too much ... the rest of the week virtually go without to make up for it
Have to say though that since deciding to lose weight this way..i don't do it anymore.. :T ...

    Morning everyone!

Cheerfulness - its not just maths its everything - he's just about to do his GCSE's but its ok I'm sending to stop with our little green friend till the exams are all over in June!;) :D I'm just off to pack his bag now!:rotfl:

mhe - on the daily thread charlie's mum reckons you can put on 2lbs by drinking a cup of tea before weigh in:eek: once at SW a lady had her weigh in and then drank half a bottle of water and ate some grapes, weighed again and had put on 1 1/2 lbs!:D so there must be some truth in it!

MRSM - am off to town for my cake fix at the WI later!;) hope its coffee cake again!

Good news - we have eaten all the nice quality street now and only got the strawberry and orange cremes left!:j so I wont be eating them!

Food plans for today - not really got much planned yet but heres what I have decided on so far

    B - shredded wheat fruitiful

    cake:D

L - something on toast - probably poached eggs

D - not sure yet - might have some salmon thats lurking in the freezer

snacks - banana and lowfat yoghurt SW hifi bar

    have a great day x
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • morning all,

weigh in tonight, have resisted hopping on the scales so far but i might go have a peek in a minute!!

    today-
    bfast - weetabix
l: either soup or a cheese toasty and banana
    s: yoghurt / clementines
d: bacon & pesto pasta (after weigh in as, hopefully, a little reward!!)

MRSM the mention of feta has got me all hungry now! and I agree about the binge then starve issue, I think I'd be prone to that if I weighed monthly.

Have ordered myself a yoghurt maker this morning....I found some good reviews of them, anyone have any opinions?!
Also I've been lookin at buying a mincer, they have one on lakeland that can also do pasta and sausages. Has anyone tried it? Is it worthwhile?

    Have a good day everyone!!

I think you are allowed to be pee'd off and eat extra.. take it easy hun and you will be able to refocus in a few weeks... don't push yourself too hard babes.

  • almost forgot - what is everybody's target for next challenge? I think MRSM said target date is Good Friday? I'm gonna go for 7lbs by then. I'm hoping with a combo of exercise, healthier choices and smaller portions I can do it!:T

 Come on everyone, last push before Easter!! (Then me and H2B will be sharing a hotel chocolat egg if I reach my target!)

    Morning ladies:hello:

Last night was…erm… okish. I had my yoghurt and a glass of wine (not together) but I also had a bag of snackajacks and then a buttered muffin. It doesn’t do me any good to be in on my own!

Today I've had 2 weetabix with soya milk and a nana, cereal doesn't do it for me, I'm starving so have just had another nana and a cereal bar! :D
Lunch is LF hummus with ryvitas and a bit of salad. I might go and buy a fruit salad box from the canteen cos I forgot to pick my fruit up this morning

Tea will be egg florentine with SW wedges - I love spinach :D

I did think about going for a swim at lunch but I'm sooooooo tired I might give it a miss. I think I need to 'be good to myself' at the moment, I've been stressed for the best part of a year with OH and his job/nojob malarky so I'm going to listen to my body and rest a bit this week.

I'm aiming for 6 lbs by Easter which takes me to the stone mark (I usually stick there)

Cheerfulness - you're not showing your age, I work in metric all day then go home and use my cookery books and scales in pounds and ounces! :rotfl:

Taplady - I weighed myself the other day first thing, then had a cuppa then went...erm...to the loo....weighed again and I was a pound heavier  so you're right!

Hope everyone has a nice day, see you later folks :A
