Anyone got the Dirty Dancing execise vid? I've never had an exercise video before. Oh! I tell a lie....when I used to work for WW years ago, they brought out a Mr Motivator one. I did watch some of it, but it was rather boring. Almost enough room in new sitting room with the furniture back to have a class here! Keep thinking about skipping, as the ceiling is high, but thinking is all I do!
Porridge in a minute,
Lunch: who knows what
dinner: Doesn't seem to be anything written in the space, will have to look at meal planner thread!
Snack... deffo a 25g bar of 85% Chocolate. Have to go to the hospital with MIL for cataract op check up, so can pick that up at Aldi along with the milk."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Not doing at all well:o Doesn't help that I'm trying these marvellous recipes for healthier eating, & at least one of the 3 offspring has to turn their nose up & pass some unrepeatable comment or 6:o Even Pup is having a poke too....I made a lovely soup-y thing from a gammon hock.....99p from a discount place......boiled it slowly Sunday & stripped the meat, then used the stock to make a sweet potato & veggie version for Pup & a slow cooker jobbie with leeks, soup mix & stuff for us on Monday.Well I liked it:p
Look at you Frog, getting all domestic before dawn's break:eek:What's your secret? Have they added garlic butter to the pond water or summat:D Good on yer tho....ignore me....I'm just jealous:oFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

BigMummaF... huge hugs....how old are the offspring? Eating healthily can be difficult enough cant it!! without those around us making it harder... Im lucky that there is very little my hubby won't eat...thank god.... it makes life soooo much easier.
Hope things get easier for you soon..come on here and let off steam
Taplady.. phewwwww -thats alright then..we like that one...especially my mums one  ..the pudding version really is nasty .... my mum loves just about any cake ..apart from coffee -but even she didn't like it  .
Good luck for later..they reckon maintaining is harder than losing ...jeesssss what an encouraging thought :rotfl:
Frogga..glad you said "some buns" baking and not "buns in the oven" :rotfl:
I have a loaf of bread proving -but its not quite on a par with baking buns THAT early in the morning.......
I think rockie is an "oldie" too..I had to join at the start..needed the head start to shift this lot :rotfl: ....

hello to anyone i have missed-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
I made that same mistake about WI purpleivy.
I have to ask Taplady - is it really like Calendar Girls where they have talks on the History of Tea Towels and the 50 Varieties of brocolli?Mind, if there was cake at the end of it I'd sit through anything.
Food today:
Yoghurt with fruit, nuts and honey (was really lovely yesterday - shocker)
Chicken salad sandwich with mango chutney
Herby tomatoes, bacon and toast.
Snacks - mandarins and apples.
The yoghurt thing has turned out well.. I was only having it cos its end of month and scratching around for things to finish off. As I'm worried the milk was running low I decided to leave cereal for me and use up the big tub of natural yoghurt, which I like better than the flavoured ones.
Amazing the things that we stumble across that turn out to be favourites in the end.
Take care everyone and all the best for the weigh ins.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Hi all,
Just checking in, well done to all those that have lost!
My weigh in day is Friday and I'm dead excited as I feel so much better, I guess even if it does not show on the scales I should be pleased with that.

Yesterdays steps 11234:j
Listening to the bread making talk, I have a BM and love it but I'm not strong enough yet to trust myself to resist HM bread:o0 -
me again!
purpleivy i have the DD workout video. its quite good, not as hard work as some others i have. find it really hurts my legs. its been slagged off by fitness experts as it has no stretching or proper warm up/cool down. i quite like it for times when i don't really feel like exercise.
i'm quite a coniesseur (spelling?!) of exercise DVDs. personally i'd recommend charlie brooks before & after for anyone as you can do whichever bits you feel capable of. nell mcandrew is excellent but VERY hard work. all of davina's are good. latinatone & strictly come dancersize - very complicated and very hard work! pineapple everybody dance - the woman is too vain for my liking (ebay!). jayne middlemiss love yoga - bOring! (ebay!) ministry of sound pump it up - if you can get past the annoying male presenter - very good work out but pretty hard going.
i'll try anything me :rotfl:
aside from this i just popped on because the granola i had for b/fast was YUMMY ans kept me filling full all morning. but its not exactly :money: anyone know if its cheaper to make it urself and if so anyone have any recipes?! MRSM i reckon this could be a query for u
oh before i go skintbutsmiling that pud sounds AMAZING! HM or shop bought? i think i need the recipe or to know where u got it
saversarn got my fingers X-ed for ur WI.
hello to anyone i've not mentioned! keep up the good work :T
