  • hi evryone,

thanks for all the positive msgs yesterday :o , was feeling bad - have an impacted wisdom tooth with an infection (on antibios, which seem to make me hungry!!) and have a mouth full of ulcers. think i'm also coming down with a cold
    all doom and gloom today!!

    have had:
    B: branflakes
    L: poached eggs and toast
D: one piece french bread, two handfuls chips and some chicken
S: HM weetabix brownies (i jiggled the recipe a bit - added half bag of white choc chunks :p )

feelin comfortably full now. altho lookin thru old posts, MRSM all your recipes sound great!
good news - DS is dry and clean during the day!! only took a week :T thats made me feel more positive about this week.

Good luck to all weighing in soon!

Have joined the march grocery challenge - have always found dieting usually = expensive food shopping! Any tips appreciated ;)

Must start doing more exercise too. I've worked out an exercise schedule now - I tend to stick to military-esque routine! Also want to get some use out of the 8 different celeb exercise DVDs on my shelf :o . not exactly :money:

    Anyhoo must be off.

Morning all!! Just had my weigh-in, was 14.5 last monday, am 14.3 and seven-eights?? now! but when i got on scales last tuesday,(yes i know:o )I had shot up to 14.6 and a half, due to period, i guess! So have i lost nearly 3 ilb, or just over 1 lb? Cause if i hadn't got on the scales tuesday, I wouldn't have know, I'd gone up:rotfl: I hope you got all that! So i suppose it;s just over a 1lb, which is slightly disappointing! Better than nothing i guess:D

Gosh it's quiet on here these days?! Three days have fitten onto one page - I thought it had been closed again!
Anyway, here for my weekly weigh in....1lb loss:j . A few weeks ago I'd have been disapointed with that, but it's a steady loss, so I don't mind really. And after discovering on Saturday that caramel Rocky bars are only 102 calories, well, that scupered the weekend efforts didn't it..
So I'm now at 12st 10lb - which is a whole 1 STONE loss since January 1st. Really chuffed, thank you everybody for all your support so far.

  • aaroncaz all losses are good. I'm taking my own sweet time about it myself, but its still brings a big smile when I look at my sig. ;)

Caterina and Toni - you both sound like you're going through it. Hope you get more comfy soon. :)

Welcome Frankie and Droopydrawers. :D I've really found help among the clan here since I started losing weight, so I'm sure you'll do find this thread great.

Had a strange day foodwise yesterday. I ate breakfast late so lunch was late too. Then I couldn't stop thinking about food. In the end I did something that you'll think was bonkers but about 1/2 hour after eating my lunch I had my tea. I ate, and thoroughly enjoyed, my pork pie salad with branston pickle and an apple. By the time I'd finished the storm was over and I was totally calm. It was only about 3.30ish I think. Maybe earlier. I didn't feel overly full and I was really contented. :D
Only when it got to half 7 did I feel that I needed something else so I had a mandarin.
I managed to deal with whatever that is that gets into my head without binging and didn't eat one single thing that wasn't planned, I just changed the timings. Well it worked, even if it was slightly mad. I did exactly the same thing a few weeks ago and it worked then too.:p

    Food today:
2 crumpets with honey (fancied a change)
    Cream cheese and ryvitas/crackers
Ham salad with jacket potato & apple coleslaw

    Snacks - apples & mandarins.

Off to make another cuppa before juggling maths with DS2 and catching up on the threads. :D

All the best for this week everyone.... and Taplady, shhhhhush about the salmon sarnies, my mouths watering. ;)

Just caught your post Alfiesmum - Thats brilliant! Well done lass :T :T

    Morning all :D

    WELL DONE ON THE LOSSES :j :j :j :j :j :j

Thats a nice start to the week isn't it :T

Hello to the newbies..and welcome on board

Pigpen...trust me..those photos really aren't for those of a weak disposition  ... once i get to target i will post the pics from start to finish -minus my head of course... cos then folks won't know who i am :rotfl: ....

FrankieM.. that is how i started... just changing one thing, and once i had got used to it another thing got changed.. I can't do just 3 meals a day mind -when i do i find i lose less than normal... but i generally choose fruit or yoghurts as snacks anyway....

DroopyDrawers.. i didn't hear any screaming this morning -it couldn't have been that bad ;) its not usually me that screams when i get on the scales...its the scales..have you ever heard scales beg for mercy? :rotfl:

Toniwoty... I have drastically cut our shopping budget since deciding to lose weight.. I have always cooked from scratch..but hubby gives me around €450 a month just for food/toiletries/cleaning stuff and even when i sit and think -I can't think for the life of me what on earth i spent it all on:confused: ... I have spent under €200 since xmas and the freezer in the basement is packed solid, and i have set my budget for March at €50 ..as i only need fruit, veg and yoghurts and a couple of other bits :T
I have to say though that im at an advantage here as if you are carefull -prices are lower than the UK... im paying 45c -about 30p for 500g of the nicest broccoli ever..
But i bet you will have your shopping down in no time ;) . One of the other ladies only commented the other week that now she had cut the portion sizes down... food goes much further -so you can afford to spend a little more on nicer products and build a lovely supply of herbs spices etc up ..so you can cook much more variety...

Aaroncaz.... 2 packs of lard is a great loss :T
    • Well i had one of those custard pot jobbies(well the nana will go manky) and an apple for brekkie
    • lunch will be honey roast ham and salad
    • dinner is potatoes and onions roasted in the oven with HM sausages, broccoli and carrots mmmmmmmmm
    • and as always -snackies will be fruit or yoghurts
hubby will be back soon as he has a funeral to go to, so it will be dash in, get changed and out again... one of the men at work got called back from a tour the other week as his wife had fallen down the stairs, he got back and she was Ok, but died a couple of days later  ..makes you remember what is important doesn't it!!!

well i had best get off for now

Hope everyone has a great day..woohoo frogga, taplady, marie, newlywed and the many more not mentioned :D

Off to rummage for recipes..i can't help myself -even though i have worked out the menus for March :p

    Nearly missed you cheerfulness...:D
Don't worry -you aren't on your own..i have days like that -where all my meals seem to be crammed into a few hours, and then other times where i have brekkie early but still don't eat lunch until much later than usual  I guess its a case of listening to our bodies.. they know what they want ;)
