I waited for you Frogga ;);)

Forgive me ladies for I too have 'synned' :o

We got up early this morning and went to the lotty (only to see if it was still waterlogged) Came back and had poached eggs, mushrooms and dry toast (ok so far)
OH went to work so I decided to walk to Sodburys for a couple of bits. On the way I passed through the Farmers Market (forgot it was on) but resisted spending anything, got to JS's and they were just putting some still warm granary muffins on the bakery display so I bought a packet. I set off back home and realised I was feeling hungry, by the time I got in I was feeling sick and faint.... I had one muffin with hummus and salad.......then a cereal bar.........and have just demolished another 2 with butter and jam:mad:  I'm cross with myself now. OH is home at 5-30 and I said I'd have a Sunday dinner ready but I don't want to go back in the kitchen which is why I'm up here!!!!

I think I'll have to venture back in there and put them in the freezer.
  • Ohh fresh bread is a killer isn't it? Get it in the freezer Rockie, preferably an outside chest freezer that you have to do a somersault to get anything from the bottom from. ;)

Just have my boiled egg and now looking longingly at my pork pie for tea. :o Why is it that some days you just wanna eat even when you know full well that you're not hungry. AND I'm in the house on my own again. :(

Gonna put a Hugh Grant or Colin Firth film on to take my mind off it. Then I'm going to xstitch my fingers off. :p

  • Hi All,

Well the rain has just stopped and the sun is trying to peep out so I might just get a walk after all today. Thanks Mrs M and Cheerfulness for the words of encouragement - they were just what I needed.

So far I've not done an awful lot today apart from sitting curled up in an armchair reading. I've just finished the book so am now raring to go and stretch my legs after several hours of sitting still.

I haven't done too badly foodwise.
B - Muesli with skimmed milk and raisins, pineapple juice.
L - 3 small slices of eggy bread. Slice of corned beef (stolen from OH's lunch). Biscuit.
Snack - Several tiny milky coffees, banana.
D - Probably pork chop, mushrooms, potato and onion, peas. Orange.

Hope all the weigh ins go well. I think my next one will be Friday rather than Saturday even though Sat is the 1st March as if fits in with visiting Gibraltar better (library is closed at the weekend). Right off for a walk now. Still no pedometer. Do you think OH would notice if I didn't talk but just counted steps under my breath?

    Hi all

Skimmed through the pages and pages of posts that I missed and saw that some of you have made amazing progress, well done!

Comfort hugs to those of you who went a bit off the rails, don't we all?

I am feeling a bit under the weather with this silly bug and having to take massive doses of antibiotics does not help the sense of tiredness, but guess what, because of all this unwell feeling I am actually not all that hungry and am managing to eat really healthy and in reasonably small amount!

I won't list the whole thing but I have been having a lot of wholegrains, brown rice and vegetables, yoghurt and I am also taking a regular tablet of acidophilus 3 times per day (to repopulate the good bugs that the antibiotics kill).

I remember when I was younger at one point I wished that I could contract the worm parasite that makes people lose weight (don't know the English name, the Italian name translates in English as 'The Solitary Worm' LOL). BE careful of what you wish for!

I am treating this illness as a wonderful opportunity to make even bigger improvements in my lifestyle towards a state of perfect health.

    Love to all,

    Caterina
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    Hi Everyone..
I'm sick of not being able to stick to anything, so can I join you guys...?

I've been lurking on the Slimming World support thread, but its just not working for me...and really I should just be able to eat prperly and lose weight.....shouldn't I???

So I'm going to try and concentrate on 'changing' one thing a week..or longer if needs be.
This week I'm going to concentrate on 3 meals a day. NO picking in between, though I guess if meals end up being late for whatever reason, then a piece of fruit is ok....but really I'd like to just get to 3 meals a day.

So I guess I'll come on here daily and let you know what I've eaten....is that how you guys do it???
