    Morning everyone!

toniwoty2009 - dont worry just start again ;) I scoffed a load of quality street yesterday:rolleyes: so I have now told DH to take them away and hide them - I just cant cope with having them in the house!

lil_me - I went to a talk by some nutritionists and they recommended xylitol as a 'good' sweetner - supposed to be better for you. They used it in cooking.

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend, I'm off to work soon for 11 hours so thats 2 meals there!

    b - shredded wheat fruitiful

    banana

L - roasted veggies and yorkshire pud

lemon drizzle cake will be on the menu somewhere!:D(MRSM;) )

D - salmon and cucmber sarnies with some side salad

    muller lite yoghurt

might pop on tonight after work to check up on you all when I get home(10.30:eek: )

Oh GRRRRH!! Why oh why did I step on the scales this morning? Curry and rice etc last night, not a particularly "good" week leading up to it...but I did, and that number before the lbs has reverted to the hated one I was on before! Only by three-quarters of a lb, but still! Oh well, the lbs started off much larger, so I'm not back to the beginning yet - but boy am I going to makes sure that number is down again very quickly! Porridge for brekkie today, roast pork later on.
Mrs M I wish I had space to grow more veggies in my garden - think we ought to dig up some of the lawn maybe.
    Anyway, have agood day folks.

    Morning all,

Got an early 'slot' on pc to-day, turkey in oven for dinner at 1.30ish as SIL is off back to London on flight at 4.45, so we have to leave around 2-2.15 for airport.

Will have roast and baked potatoes, carrot & parsnip, wilted chicory with oyster sauce...pudding will be fruit. Have had some porridge with honey and milk accompanied by DGDs 1 & 2...they are now in the bath raising hell!

Frogga....forgot your smart pills yesterday obviously....8 KILOS you óinseach! Am keeping my fingers crossed for your weigh in...not good myself last night, ate about 10 Butlers chocs, nobody else would and I didn't want them to go bad!

Have a good day all...we shall overcome some day!

    Confession time..

I ate a FULL box of chocolate fingers yesterday!!!!!!!!!!

And have done nothing but eat for about 3 days.. I am certain it is down to the weather!! I can't keep warm and I am starving.. I also have the most horrendous trapped wind which I have had for about 5 days now.. that is quite unpleasant.

I am pigging out today.. I decided.. then tomorrow I shall mount that there wagon again and start over.. I have hurt my back (I tripped over something in the bedroom at 4am yesterday and fell in a box!!.. I was going to the loo with my eyes closed)

Anyway.. the scales shall reveal all momentarily!

Oooh Frogga.. I think we are all as nervous and excited about your weigh in as you are.. Even if it says 18 soemthing.. it is in the right direction and would be better than I have done this month.. I aimed for 3lb off and haven't even managed that!!

  • Have to admit I'm getting butterflies about Froggas weigh in, too. It's like waiting to see if Taplady's last lb comes off all over again. :D
Agree with Pigpen, if you see 18 'anything' then you've succeeded. ;) I can't wait to call myself 19 'something'. :o

Well if we're on confessionals... I've just had another bit of OH's chocolate cake. Had a bit last night as well.
That's it now! Once he and the lads are back home in a bit there'll be nothing left anyway. Just gotta keep my paws out of the microwave where I've hidden it till then.

Toni - you'll be fine yesterday. It didn't seem much to me either and you did do all that exercise. ;)

Its funny you should say that about spec-savers MrsMc... mum was prescribed glasses for long distance as well as reading last time and this time a different optician in the same shop has said she doesn't need them and so not prescribed them. Strange.

    Food today:
    Readybrek
    pork pie salad
Boiled egg and HM seedy bread fingers.

Snacks - chocolate cake (had:p ) crabsticks and fruit.

To be honest I'm dying for a salmon and cucumber sandwich after reading Taplady's post. Have to get some salmon in next months shopping list.

    Enjoy your Sunday everyone. ;)

  • Morning all,
It's a beautiful day here and I've just been out to get a paper as my youngest wants to see My Left Foot (free with mail on sunday ) walked passed 5 papershops before deciding to buy one, was thinking of the steps but had I thought it through I would have then turned round and bought the paper on the way back at the nearest shop to my house as it weighs a ton and my arm is now dropping off:rolleyes:
B- Cheese on toast (I had a craving)
L Gammon roast pots cauli cheese etc
T- not sure driving my eldest back to uni so may stick to fruit and have a pud a lunch.

    Yesterdays steps 11648:T
Well done Frogga on surviving the near death experience with the arachnid:eek:

    MOrning all,

If it's confession time... then I had 2 pieces of flapjack after dinner last night. Dinner was yum, piece of plain fried seasoned halibut and a tray of roast veg. How lazy, but how delish. Kids were out, quiet pleasant evening.

have been busy this morning, done my Big SHop for March, not quite got everything, but did get big haul of reduced price fruit and stuff, so dinner tonight will be a cheapy, got wrinklies home from hols so 3 extra.

I got the vac from Argos, but not the scales, will get plenty of housework type exercise later playing with new gadget. Not too worried about the scales, been without a good set long enough and I'm more concerned that my clothes feel looser, rather than a number on the scales. Will keep my eyes open for a good deal.

Will try and eat sensibly today.

B: was HM granola and HM yoghurt

snack:reduced price pear... massive bag for 24p, rest will go with choc sauce and vanilla ice for pud this evening

Lunch: Salad of some type, have end of tin of salmon

Snack : 25g bar of 85% choc, this is supposed to be ok on GL plan

Dinner:start of rubber chicken. Not done this since I started on the OS board. Got masses of veg, so will be nice. Pears as above, but probably no ice cream. Not excited by supermarket ice cream. Am waiting to get my proper automatic maker.

Hope that you all have a good day.

  • Hello, anyone mind if I join in?

After spending the last 2 months just thinking and talking about it but not actually DOING anything about it, I've finally got my brain into the right gear and I'm starting my diet tomorrow!!

I've had a skim through this thread (will read it properly later) and cheap, cheerful, healthy eating is the way I want to go, and if I save a few £££s as the lb's drop off (hopefully anyway!!) all the better!

Blitzed the kitchen cupboards yesterday to make sure there's no hidden dangers lurking and found 2 boxes of Christmas chocs I'd forgotten about (not sure how that happened! ) so they are now safely wrapped up to be given as birthday presents in the next week or so. Going to friends for a birthday meal tonight so donating a couple of yummy looking cheesecakes from the freezer for pud and nuts, pringles and other nibbly things I found for, well, nibbling on. Feeling so enthusiastic about all this at the moment and can hardly wait to get on the scales and get started tomorrow!! Got a day off too so I'll be off to Lidl first thing to stock up on fruit and veggies, then probably coming on here looking for inspiration what to do with them - admittedly they usually end up in the bin a few weeks later, covered in fur and roots and things:o ....... but not any more!!

By the way, if anyone hears blood curdling screams at about 8am tomorrow don't panic.... it's only me getting on the scales!!

Welcome Droopy Drawers and fingers crossed tomorrow isn't as bad as you think it might be :D

I feel a little bit guilty that I'm making you all worry for me , well not that guilty! :D

I'm in danger of getting a little bit obsessed by it ( how unlike me I hear you all cry ) as I keep thinking "oooooo by the 1st of "whatever" I might weigh this much et.c et.c " I'm heading for a fall I tell you as I really think I'll be 10 1/2 stone next Monday
