Morning super peeps! How you all diddling today? Another beautiful sunny morning here, I keep waiting for the weather to change but so far we've been really lucky. Just know it's going to turn into one of those summers when it is scorching during the week and pees down at the weekends though

    B = porridge
L = baked sweet potato, cottage cheese (another Longley Farm addict here!) and salad
D = going to play with some quinoa I think and make a salady type thing. Trying to up my protein consumption in various ways

Right, I'm outta here! Have a brilliant day, toniwoty I've lost 8.5lbs so far, don't forget hte 0.5, even though it's the littlest its my favourite one :D

Oh I did a body fat ratio thingie last night on the interweb - so my BMI is 27.5 which is overweight but my body fat ratio was coming up as obese!!!!! It does a calculation of your waist versus your hips, and your wrist versus your forearm and comes up with this figure as to how much of you is fat. According to that I am 33% fat. I nearly fell off my chair. I know BMI is not an exact science and I am hoping body fat ratio isn't as well. Suppose the only way to really know is to go and get it properly measured but I am skeered now! Anyway that makes exercise even more important, the more lean muscle I can build the better I'll burn calories when I'm just sat doing nowt.

Right really really off now, bye lovelies xx

    Morning everyone,
i was a big naughty yesterday as i was so busy that i didn`t have breakfast or dinner.
For tea i had salad with tortillas & meatballs and 2 slices of banana cake (small ones)

Today i`ve been a lot better and i`ve had breakfast which was toast and later i plan on having yogurt for dinner and tuna & pasta bake for tea.
I`ll be spending most of the day out in the garden again today getting jobs done but i`ve nipped back in for a cuppa and a long sleeved top as it`s nippy out there today.
Yesterday i planted some seeds in pots and tubs and tiny troughs, i only planted a bit of each so hopefully all will be well and i`ll have some nice things to eat later on.
I planted carots, onions, spring onions, radish, chilli peppers, basil, coriander, lettuce and a few other bits that i can`t remember now ( i need to make a list as my heads like a sieve) oh and some vine tomatoes in a hanging basket.
On the kitchen windowsill i`ve just repotted 2 courgette plants and one of the peppers that were getting a bit too bit for the pots that they were in so fingers crossed.

I spent a couple of hours moving old railway sleepers in the garden yesterday, i had to use a crowbar and an old stepping stone with me stood on it as something to bar against and it took me ages to get them shifted happy with them now though, if i crack on with things i`ll have to move two more at some point
Right back outside so catch up later.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello:Good Morning!

I was a bit better behaved yesterday, stuck to the menu plan but faltered when I discovered a lonely choc toffee quality street sweet in the cupboard!:o I am going to find the cocoa and try the hot choc drink with skim milk idea and see if that helps my choc addiction.

Up early and walked the "exercise machine";)
Breakfast - hm muesli, natural soya yogurt and hm blackberry and apple, slice of all bran cake, black coffee
    snack - hm smoothie
Lunch - Egg salad, fruit probably a pear
    snack - Oatcakes
dinner - hm veg curry, fruit salad

Did a lot of gardening yesterday and must sow some more spinach beet today. Would be lovely to harvest most of my own 5/7/9 a day.

    Have a great day!

    Catz x

    Morning all,

I'm back again to join you - I can't cope with "a diet" any longer - it just makes me want to eat everything I can't - and you are all so inspiring. So I had a long talk with dh and have decided that OS is the way for me to go - especially as it fits in with the way we eat/ cook anyway. I have 6 stone and 8lbs to go - but again I'm in for the long haul.

    Breakfast: Boiled egg and soldiers
Lunch: Tomato and pepper soup that needs using up, baguette
Dinner: HM chicken curry with rice(for others) and naan - I don't need both carbs and I prefer the naan.

Whilst I'm at it I shall make rice salad for everyone for lunch tomorrow - I'm at work till 2pm tomorrow. Today is one of my days off - lots of housework in a minute - and ds1 has a revision day (he's only 12!) Then I shall sort out my embroidery and knitting for the evening as I have also given up alcohol for the duration.

Wish me luck everyone - if |I can get through the first few weeks I know my willpower will get stronger - it's just the first bit I find hard.

    Hi all,
Toni - yes please put me on the list still - need to be kept in check and suspect that Sunday's weigh in might show me as a gain :o Think I got a bit too cocky about it all ;)

Still - week off next week so lots of walking planned (as long as I actually get off me bum and go do it :p)

Breakfast was toast and choc spread :o - must get back to porridge
snacks have been a pack of crisps :o and a pear for later
lunch is a ham and pickle sarnie
    Tea is prawn stirfry.

bobbadog my speciality with soft cheese is pea and ham pasta. basically i stick the pasta on to cook then in a frying pan, little bit of spray oil, some chopped up ham or bacon - whichever is lying around (!), couple handfuls of frozen peas, cook for a few mins til peas are soft, couple tbsp of soft cheese in the pan then stir in the pasta with maybe a tbsp of the cooking water (depends hows runny or not you want the sauce) dish it up then grate a bit of cheddar on top and give it a stir thru and you get that nice gooey texture. YUM! and takes all of 10 minutes.
i have to agree about age too - i'm only 22 and i struggle to lose it. i think some people just generally struggle with weight buy it gets harder for everyone with age- even those skinny people who boast they can eat anything

Morning Toniwoty! Sounds absolutely delicious! Am sure I have some frozen peas - if not there's some frozen mixed veg, can pick them out! sounds like a nice and easy Friday night meal if OH is keen!

My best mate can eat like a horse and not put on any weight, not fair at all! Mind you, I think if i gave up alcohol i'd probably loose it a hell of a lot faster... oh well! x

    Morning folks:hello:

I’m soooooo tired this morning, I woke up about 4am with really bad leg cramp and had to walk round the room to try and ease it. I’ve not had it that bad for ages, then it seemed ages before I went back to sleep….just in time to be woken by the alarm:mad:

SW WI tonight, I had a sneaky peek on my scales this morning and they say I’ve lost some so we’ll see what the class scales say:D

Boiled eggs and soldiers for brekkie, egg and cottage cheese salad for lunch, loads of fruit with me. Stuffed mushrooms for tea with SW wedges - seeing Nix's post I might change that to baked sweet potato :D

Right, busy, busy, busy today!! See you later :A
