Hi everyone! Thanks for the good luck thoughts, Superspam, the interview went ok, should hear something soon.
I have a dateon Friday, with this guy I met online - am dreading it, how can I magically lose a stone before Fthen?!
Anyway, am sticking to my diet, ahem healthy eating, and today have had/will have:
B - tea, sliced ham, cheese, tomato, hard boiled egg, and a slice of buttered whole wheat toast
S - fruit x 2
D - prawns in low fat thousand island dressing & avocado salad
Water - not so good
Exercise - just off to do my Davina DVD...
Bye!0 -
*quick wave*
Only passing through as at work, will read properly later. Don't dare weigh in, the only thing I've been able to have for packed lunch this week is sausage roll! Have balanced that with apples and plums
Having chinese pork tonight (pork belly, rack roasted, has been sat in 5 spice powder since yesterday mmmmm)
Also buying a wii (not very OS I'm afraid) but will hopefully be more active than slouching in front of TV, adn hoping to get that wii-fit game when I can find it.
Good luck / congratulations / commiserations to all"She who asks is a fool once. She who never asks is a fool forever"

Magic pants *nodding wisely* magic pants are the future, only reason I am on this healthy eating thing is because I can't wear magic pants on the beach - well, I could but it'd leave me with killer tan lines
And woooot on the date! :TComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%

Thanks Nix! I have magic pants but - wait for it - I think they are TOO BIG!! I have lost about 7lbs since Christmas, when I bought them, but I'll give them a go. All my mates keep telling me it's not about looks, but really, if he doesn't fancy me what's the point?! :rotfl:
Maybe do a run as well as my DVD now...0 -
Sorry if I dropped you in it MrsM but my Mum taught me to always tell the truth and I always do as I'm told
Good news on the thyroid front ~ Frogs don't have em anyway! Phew! :j
On a serious note ................................... yes I can be serious...................................... there is a prog on the telly tonight about a rather portly gentleman in America. Think we should all watch it to
a. Realise that some have worse problems than we do
and b. Give us a wake up call to see how easily we could spiral out of control if we don't get a grip

Toniwoty... Stayed the same this week.
I always knew it would be a slow business, a long haul, just the same as Meanmarie, methinks.
I eat all the right things, portion control could be better....:o:o drink lots of water, but with M.E. I was always going to have difficulty loosing weight.
I'm also approaching retirement age so I'm sure I'm not alone on this thread..
We nearly-wrinklies can't shift it like the youngsters can:cool:
Anyone else in the same boat?0 -

My lovely mum is 67 and is in a constant battle with her weight.. She decided to give up WW a couple of months ago..after hearing what us lot are doing..
Bless her she was constantly thinking of points etc.. and not eating much in the 1st place  and then freaking and eating things she wouldn't normally because she was so wound up about food... we now have her eating much better... she eats what she fancies and allready she has noticed that she isn't constntly stressed about and thinking about food... the other day she got 3 date n rhubarb slices-sat down and enjoyed 1 and froze 2.... during WWers those would have gone the same day..so a great improvement there :T
Her weight is coming off slowly... but it isn't costing her a £5 a week  and she is feeling much better... so i agree that it does seem to get harder.. and my mum has 3 huge raised beds, a potting shed and 2 green houses to tend to and my eldest brother at home who she does everything for...so its not even as though she isn't active-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
My Mum is 55 (yes that is a great age for a frog I know) and she says that she used to be able to shift 1/2 st in a week before she hit 50 and now it would take months! Mind you at 5ft 5in and 10st she aint got a lot to shift anyway :rolleyes:Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

I'll own up, I'm 58. After the menopause, surplus weight gets much harder to shift, believe me. Frogga, you may be all right, I don't think frogs have those either!:rotfl:
DD2's wedding is on Saturday and panic about getting everything ready is well advanced. I've managed to lose about 4 pounds this month, so the dress won't look too bad, but the magic knickers are standing by!:D
After the wedding I'm off to France for a few weeks, where the famed gastronomy (and the wine!) will probably undo all my good work!:eek:If we are supposed to be thin, why does chocolate exist?0 -
