Thanks, Frogga.:beer:If we are supposed to be thin, why does chocolate exist?0 -
Had a BRILLIANT day today, feeling wonderful, I love when the hormone mist leaves me and I can be semi-normal again
Just had gorgeous tea - steamed whoopsied asparagus and mange tout, griddled courgette, rocket, toms and cucumber and lovely piece of salmon - absolutely stuffed but enjoyed every mouthful. As did DS who had all that and some oven chips as well LOL he needs filling up, has hollow legs, bless him.
AND I managed another 10 minutes on the X trainer, it is absolutely killing me, I was sweating and gritting my teeth through that extra minute I can tell you
Have a brilliant evening everyone xxComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%

Hello folks:hello:
Why did I worry about getting home:D hardly any cars on the road, I got home earlier than usual.......I think everyone else had left work early and I was helped by a very nice policeman who waved me through a red light to allow an ambulance to pass:D
I've had my bubble and squeak with a 'fried' egg - YUM! and am now comfortably stuffed  nothing else for me tonight methinks.
Dancing was great  if a little warm!
WI tomorrow night  I'm hoping for a small loss though as I've been good this week
If I'm not around in the morning it's because I'm busy - exam time at work so lots to do:rolleyes: but I should get on at some stage.
I'm amongst the more mature of us (well, in years at least  ) and find it much harder to lose weight now. I first joined SW whenI was in my late 20's and lost a stone and a half in 6 weeks:eek: Nowadays I'm lucky if I lose a pound and a half in that length of time:rotfl:
See you tomorrow ladies!:A0 -
When I was in my thirties and forties there were nine people to be cooked and washed for, never mind that they needed dropping/collecting from various places every day...one of the penalties of living miles from a bus service. Then there were my semi invalid parents at the same time, in a different house...weight wasn't a problem, finding time to eat was an achievement!
At 62 I move more slowly, seem to fancy sweet stuff more, and have less to do as there is only DD4 and DGS2 here with OH and me, so I do less and everything seems more of an effort. I used to be an early riser who could keep going all day and into the night, now I don't waken until 9 and am ready to go back to bed at 9pm..is it any wonder the flab won't move.
None of this is fair but I realise that to do anything about it I need to move more, cut down on wheat, and make sure that I drink lots of water every day.
Moan over, have a good evening all

Losing weight definately gets harder as you get older. I remember when I first started where I work now (9 years ago) and I lost a lot of weight with WW, it all seemed so easy.
Then as time went on and the weight with it I was sucked into the WW mentality, then, fatal - I worked for them as a clerk. It was weird, all of us clerks could not lose anymore weight - it was like a mental block.
I now have given up all that, my money goes on the leisure centre membership, not paying someone to weigh me and say "you're naughty you have put on 2oz"I am eating what I want, in smaller portions and exercising more - and it works:T Oh, and you guys really help too:A My one tip is to use a smaller dinner plate, I got a cheap one from a charity shop and it really helps.
My poor mum is desperate to lose weight - she gave up smoking a year ago, cold turkey bless her, she did so well. But she is finding it so hard to shift the weight, especially now she has retired. She always says how easy it was when she was younger, a piece of cheese and an apple for lunch was the general diet.
Oh my god - just seen an ad for the half ton dad programme that is on in a minute - makes me feel like twiggy :rotfl: :rotfl: Might have to watch and tape SirAlan to watch when DH gets back from his bike ride.

ps where's cheerfulnessdidn't notice a post or have I missed her?
Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Sorry you have put on Taplady - but overall your loss so far is :T .
Well, am watching half ton dad - my life it is scary viewing. I am not squeamish but it is turning my stomach _pale_ It is so very sad that people are in this state, but I do believe it is generally self inflicted. I know my weight issue is my own fault - if I hadn't put it in my mouth and sat on my butt I would not be 7 stone overweight  We are not forced to overeat.
Amazing viewing though.
Catch you all tomorrow.Joined WW again!! in November 2010 - four stone loss so far :T

Morning Peeps,
DIdn't watch the prog about the portly Gentleman yesterday because of The Apprentice , but I recorded and will watch it when I get home from work. I expect I will watch it thinking " There but for the Grace Of God................................"
Never mind Tappy it's only 1 lb, and a little one at that I'm sure
Really looking forward to weigh day tomorrow. I'm SO GLAD I'm weighing weekly as it makes the time between WD's so much quicker. Hope I've lost lots and as it's only week 2 it should be a lot again. It will slow down I know but I'd really like to get close to 17 something. Perhaps that's way too ambitious  We'll see.
Have a good day All, will post later

Morning all!
I have decided to change my WI from Wed to Fri. As suspected its TTOTM and I'm regular as clockwork with that so Fridays should always give me a relatively true idea of my weight. I'll WI again on Friday and use that one for the tally Toni.
Not that I'm expecting it to be any better than yesterday! I had two pieces of madeira cake last night as I was really craving something sweet and eating raw crumble mix straight out of the freezer was making me feel like a secret eater again:p. So I thought sod it Sam - do it properly, and had two pieces of cake with a coffee (decaf Jane!) and I enjoyed it too so there!:D
Back to being good today:
B - branflakes with skimmed milk
S - banana
L - HM soup, wholemeal bread x 1 and a yoghurt
S - apple
D - Spaghetti Bolognese with salad (normally I'd have a huge portion of bolognese and no salad so this time I will fill the plate with half of each!
P - Solero( I get the full size ones at 99kcals each but noticed yesterday you can now get mini ones at 55 kcals each, I'll prob get those once the big ones go off offer.)
Got a physio appointment later to see if he can pinpoint what keeps going wrong with my back. Hope everyone is well - have a lovely day!0
