Reporting back. Don't think I've had a very good day again, stuff keeps jumping my way! It might be that I've filled up on good stuff....
Pasta was indeed for dinner, with hm tomato sauce and a few onions and bacon, not much of that though. I made a nice fruit salad, at least I thought it was nice. Kids not keen on mango, though I put a little in, dh doesn't like apple in a fruit salad, but I put that in as well, I figure if I'm making it.... also fresh pineapple, oranges and some grapes. Since then.... erm, an aero choc pud. Why? I dunno!
BM is on and will smell too good in a minute.
Tomorrow, breakfast will be OK, lunch too probably, dinner at MIL. That could go either way. She's trying to lose weight, so it will either be healthy, or she will be looking for an excuse to spoil dh and ds or have a little splurge herself, Will see! Should be a nice quiet day anyway... famous last words."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Evening all,
Got my wardrobe sorted and I'm a happy if exhausted bunny..... bloomin' hard work climbing in and out of what felt like the entire stock of M&S (although I can assure you it's nothing like in reality!) The charity shop will be doing pretty well out of me next week with what I'm getting rid of, but I have managed to cobble together a few summery outfits including a couple of new ones.... found a stashed carrier bag containing 2 pairs of lineny trousers and 2 sleeveless tops, which I'd bought in spring last year, the plan being to get into them come summer:rolleyes:..... I never did get into them last year, but I can now...woooohoooooooo!!!:D Just want the sun to come out again now so I can wear my new togs, typical it's been cooler and we've had heavy showers here today!
Helen, I find it loads easier to lose weight in summer.... the exception being last year when it did nothing but rain!
Stuck to my meal plan today, although adding onions to my tea time salad was probably not a wise move with the peppered mackerel.... probably just as well I'm home alone tonight:eek: ! *tootles off to clean teeth yet again*0 -
Well I have had a fabulous time, probably eaten more than I wanted but really enjoyed every mouthful and didn't overdo it.
2 halloumi kebabs (less than half a 250g block in total so approx 350 cals), 1 wholemeal pitta, 3 falafel balls, HM patatas bravas made with boiled new potatoes and fresh tomatoes,1 corn on the cob with 1 tsp butter and 1 dsp of potato salad.
Then to finish it off I had a serving of absolutely delicious ginger and passionfruit trifle which I believe is a Nigella recipe.
Didn't have any booze though so I saved a few cals there
Have a great rest-of-weekend all0 -

morning all
thanks for your good shopping vibes! must have worked because i came home with quite a bit: nice pair of linen trousers, lovely pair of shorts i have wanted for aaaaaaaaaaaages (knee length so no thigh on show), and three or four nice tops. and some little red spotty pumps (but reduced to £5!!) and a pair of flipflops and a beautiful new handbag
oh well, i still have £50 left so i may pop into town later to see what primark has to offer - yesterday was bluewater. wasn't too bad foodwise. we went for tapas for lunch
we had a meal taster for two - calamare, patatas bravas, the most amazing chicken wings, chorizo in garlic oil, mini chorizo paella, meatballs and the usual bread with balsamic and oil. it was very nomnomnom!! but because we were so busy planning our route and nattering we were stuffed with stil enough leftovers to feed another person! :T and i didn't eat again all day as i was so full!
today is going to be-
b: toast (my wisdom tooth is still playing up  and eating cereal of any kind is SO painful )
l: yoghurt and some fruit
d: corned beef hash (i'm still using up the last of my bits for 'winter dinners' )
its just me and DS today as OH is doing overtime. hoping to get lots done around the house. OH cleaned the patio yesterday so DS will probably disappear out there as might i to sort out my flowers and plant a few bits.
got a compliment yesterday from a friend of mine who never really comments on people and he said "you've lost more weight, you look lovely" could have kissed him :rotfl: when i was getting into bed OH said "see - people do notice"
MRSM all your menus sound so yummy! i keep meaning to try jackets with feta, i love feta
floyd that bbq stuff sounds deeeeeeeeeelish. i think maybe i'm hungry
droopydrawers glad you found some summer bits. i find it makes me feel so much better when everything fits properly.
purpleivy i often do the same as you - eat something that really i'm not that keen on and then think - why did i do that and get all  with myself.
frogga :hello: where are you?!

Hi I'd like to join in with this thread... I somehow have found myself to be 61/2 stone overweight
and I have decided it needs to come off.
MRSMCAWBER - I notice you have lost around that amount of weight - well done indeed - can you tell me in a nutshell how you have managed to do this amazing weight loss? I find I can stick to a 'diet' for a short period of time (usually a few days) then the bigger picture becomes too big and I give up.....
Isn't the weather lovely at the moment although I don't know if that's going to help or hinder me, as I love icecream to cool down!!2025 - Declutter to Move House

Good morning all, and a glorious one it is here. Just had breakie after a lovely walk in the woods with 'great protector'. Bluebells in full flower, birds twittering and everything looking lush and green. Fantastic.
Welcome Kayjay :hello: to the NON DIETing thread. We are trying to change our lifestyles and eat healthier more natural foods. Have you read about artificial sweeteners we all binned a few pages back. Quite an eyeopener and scarry stuff:eek: . Many of us are having a go at growing veg and fruit, but above all having a good laugh and supporting each other. There's also lots of good advise and recipes.
Toniwoty delighted the shopping trip was such a success :j , and the compimentary comments as well, just what every girl needs, fantastic.
MRSM what are you trying to do to me!!!! Just read about your buckets and rope and nearly fell off my chair laughing :rotfl: :rotfl: !!!!
MeanMarie When I was larger I also had a problem when measured at M&S. The lady kept bringing me horrible utility things. Only tried on a few and she said I was a 38C when even I could see they were too small. I went to Debenhams this week and the lady there was brill. I must have tried over 30 and she chose pretty, sexy little numbers for me to try. I bought one from her but I really wanted Tshirt bra's which she didn't have in my size so she told me to try other shops now I knew my correct size 34DD to E. Fantastic service, and I got 2 Tshirt bra's in M&S, fit perfectly 34DD, well chuffed (and somewhat amazed as I've never been in a DD in my life before so must have been in the wrong size for over 40years  ). Good luck!
Plans for today include getting Dh to help dig up a laurel bush which appeared a few years ago and then plant wild flower seeds. Sow more salad crops. Sort out the fruit bed and give blackcurrents a good manure mulch. DH plans on making me a frame for the fruit cage out of scaffolding  , now that I must see. The mind boggles :rotfl: . Grass still very wet after yesterdays downpours so I'll do that tomorrow.
Foodwise I will have beans on seeded wholemeal bap for lunch with prune yogurt. Tea will be the sausage and veg I'd planned for yesterday but DS scuppered as when I came in from the garden he's already got himself pasta. So I had lasagna and salad instead and DH had his favourite Pizza.
I'm not too sure if warmer weather is any help either. I tend to slow down in warmer weather and can't exercise as much as I do when its cooler. And I tend to puff up in the heat too, my rings get tight. Is that water retention and if so that must add to weight. We'll see what happens this year. Last year posed no problem as we didn't have a summer:mad: .
Have a great day all, and remember you are MARVELOUS:T"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life, gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are." Unknown0 -
Hi all,
Going to see if there are any other jobs to do in the garden to make the most of being outside. My legs still hurt but they look a bit more toned so its no bad thing
Not sure what we will eat today, there are a few bits of salad left over from yesterday so something that involves them I guess.
B: Strawberries and raspberries
L: Wholemeal pitta with salad and tunaSome sort of wholewheat pasta or brown rice salad I think
Have a greatday all0 -
Afternoon guys,
just checking in before i got to w**k.
Todays menu is :-
BF toast & yogurt
Dinner boiled egg salad
Tea curry & jacket potato
Snacks will be carrots and garlic mayo dip and hopefully that will be it.
I`ll have a tin of tuna for supper i think too.
It`s glorious out side! i`ve been in the garden this morning with the doglets and i could really stay out there, DH has gone off fishing and i`ve got to figure out how to get to w**k when my main route has roads closed:eek:
I`m dreading it as i`m not good at driving anywhere unless i know the way before hand and the temporary signs are rubbish as i can never see them as they are usually on the floor with a lane full of traffic in front of them
Hope i`m not too stressed out by the time i get there.
Offski to do some catching up have a lovely day every one, oh and welcome Kayjay:hello:

How do you make patatas bravas? The children were talking about them, but I don't know what they are.
