    2 Weetabix and banana;
Small serving pasta and lamb salad, 2 slices potato bread with butter, coffee
    Dinner is home made pizza,
Each of these meals contain items that raise insulin status. This means that your body will still be using glucose as a fuel and your fat cells will retain the fatty acids that you really want released.
    Today I ate
Bacon mushrooms tomato and a 2 egg omelette all fried in coconut oil. (the coconut oil comes from Asian Grocers, cost £1ish for 500g It contains medium chain tryglycerides and these encourage your body to convert burn fat as ketones. Your body, without refined carbohydrates, isn't able to store ketones so these end up down the loo.)
Home made cauliflower cheese with a low carb linseed meal sauce celeriac and kurly kale. (the cheese sauce was also made with coconut oil)
I'll have some fruit and nuts later maybe.
I've drunk six cups of green tea.
None of my meals contain high glycemic load foods.
This means my insulin levels will not spike and my body will be obliged to release the fatty acids from the fat cells and burn those a fuel. The green tea also helps stimulate thermogenesis. apart from other health benefits such as improving your natural suncreen potential.
Because all the foods I eat don't raise my insulin level I don't have to count calories or worry about how much I eat.

Recovering - in my opinion I think that duck eggs taste just like normal eggs but its the texture that I go potty for. The yolk is so thick and creamy velvety. It just clings to your soldiers. :D Oh.. and the other thing is that they are so big and blue. :p Altho, thinking about it, I've a couple of mucky white ones this time but I don't mind.. they just look so wholesome. :D

Great minds think alike...I was laid out on my lounger (well wooden steamer chair) this afternoon and it was glorious in the sun watching DH laying my new path to the greenhouse. :p Well it was glorious till I got a splinter off the silly chair. Think we'll have to consider updating ours next year.

Anyways congrats to you recovering on another loss. :T :T See...you're getting there. ;)

    well done to RS!:T

Rose glad the hairdressers went well!;)

MRSM - I have been mowing our massive garden today too! Dh is trying to mend the strimmer to finish the job.

Having veggie pizza, HM spicy wedges and salad for tea today, its nearly ready:drool:

ted - green tea is yuk!_pale_ I have tried it several times as I know its good for you but I just cant take to it. I like the low GI way of eating, have lost weight that way in the past but couldn't stick to it strictly.(sounds a bit like a science lesson to me!)

    off for some food:wave:

Ok I'm yoyoing again, up and down. I think I need to post here more often, get more ideas etc. I did get the 2 stone off then slipped back into my old ways. Tonights dinner wasn't too bad food wise, few chips (made in actifry) steak (mine being a thin one) and salad. I didn't feel up to anything this morning, had prawns on some toast at lunch time so am going to allow myself a diddy bottle of wine I bought as a treat :D
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
  • I'm wondering, do people think the warm weather will help or hinder?

Eg today all I've had has been some fruit, a bit of toast, and a prawn salad because my appetite has gone down. Oh, and a few choccies :o:p

BUT if it's hot I won't be inclined to get back to the gym? Although strolling round park etc more likely.

Just curious, what do you think?

(lil_me, I think I need to post more often too, I miss huge chunks because I just click on "last page" or else I get lost :rotfl::o

I tried green tea a little while ago, I eventually worked my way through the whole box - but it was torture

Like I was saying on the Lose Weight 20 Thread, Ted, low GI works for some people, calorie counting for others, we all have our different methods, we tend not to judge others' methods. If it works for them we support them when they need it.

    Evening everyone,
    just finished catching up.

Today i have mostly been eating

    BF toast & yogurt
    Din Dins tortilla & salad
Snack carrots and garlic mayo dip YUM
    Tea wedges & chilli
    Snack a bag of quavers.

Later when i get home around midnight i might just sit in the garden with a couple of  if it`s still warm enough:D

I find that when i`m at w**k i`m eating all the time but when i`m at home i don`t so perhaps i should stay at home:D

Recovering - i`ve been eating tuna for my supper when i have any, sometimes on a slice of toast sometimes straight from the tin, hopefully gone are the days when i used to sit in bed at 2am with a plate of 24 fish fingers:o

Rockie - sounds like you have my old neighbours before we moved - is there a sympathetic smilie?

Toniwoty - i hate wasps too, we have had 4 in the house the last 3 days and they`ve been monster sized, i`ve been walking round with the frying pan.

WELL DONE CHEERFULLNESS on your 2lb and also to FLOYD on your 3lb loss, SAVERSARN - congrats on STS.

Hopefully i`ll be online a bit earlier tomorrow.

    Well its quiet on here

Obviously lots of folks resting from doing lots of gardening -or watching their DH doing it -cheerfulness :p

    Helen_yorkshire

Thats something that i was thinking about earlier..as i have always said i found it easier to be on a "diet" in the cold months.. lots of comforting stews etc with loads of veggies... usually in summer im and ice-cream addict (well at any time of the year really :o )..... but i have finally cracked my addiction -so now, like tonight hubby had a dish of capuccinno ice-cream and i always pinch 1tsp of it off him and then im done  .. so im hoping to cope better now im not on a "diet"..but have my piggy head under control :p
I love salads and as for fruit i can eat silly amounts... and do :D now even though i know its good for me -it still has cals and natural sugars.. so this week is my 1st week back onto eating lots more fruit so im waiting for fridays weigh in to see if it has any impact...
Like you i have ben finding my appetite down. ...so i think -"i don't want any lunch".. but will have a couple of pieces of fruit or a yogurt instead!

If it helps you to keep up.. when you click on the 1st page of the thread there is a box on the left side "view first unread" and if you click it, it should take you to where you left off last time ;) ..can't remember who told me that but its brilliant

Nice to see you back Lil_Me :T

Taplady..We don't have that much lawn but inbetween doing everything else i was out there yonks :p . Next door neighbour was out when i got the mower out and "couldn't believe i was mowing again"..ok i did it on Monday but my way it always looks nice and its a much quicker job..they leave it until its knee high (baring in mind they have a big dog and a 2 year old ..who frequently runs along with a "handful" )... then its a mammoth task
Now it looks all nice n tidy and i can't wait to parl my bum out there this summer.. may even get my milk bottle legs out for a bit of sun...when no-one is about :rotfl:

Have decided that next pay day i am off in search of a couple more bits of clothing... want bargains mind ;) ... just another pair of trousers and a couple of tops.. i have given up trying to find skirts..they are as rare a rocking horse droppings round here:confused: ..wanted a nice long one to replace the denim one that slips down :j ..will have to wait until i go back to the UK.. although i am hoping to be at target by then :T

Marie.. have you looked at evans on line? they usually have some good bargains.. although its pot luck if they have your size ;)
I can't wait to hit target..then im going to get measured... if i go now they may suggest a couple of buckets and several foot of rope :rotfl:

right folks im off again... talk to you all in the morning :D

This reminds me of a joke...

Once upon a time there was a woman, who just couldn't get a bra big enough to support her rather substantial assets. She was huge! She tried everywhere, big shops, small shops, online, mail order...nowhere had what she needed.

After some time she was telling her friend about her predicament. THis friend made some suggestions, but the lady had tried all the places the friend could think of. Eventually the friend said "Well, have you tried *Binns?" to which the lady replied "Yes, but they rattle!"

*Binns... one time store of the House of Fraser chain of department stores.

Sorry, I know it wasn't very good, but if you're sad enough to be sitting here on the computer on a Saturday night........ you might be grateful!
