Hi all, well I'm in a good mood.
Just been to see my sister at her work and after I left someone commented how much weight I'd lostTold you - it's when you haven't seen people for a while that they notice
Gave in to some chocolate earlierBut have been good other than that. Away at the weekend so that will make a lovely change but might not be too good as the people we are staying with means there will be a glass of wine at some point
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
A cross trainer? Is that like Harvey on "Fit Club", someone who shouts " No pain , No Gain lard ar*e!" Not sure that would work for me
:rotfl: I think it's one of those machines where you look like you are walking with skis - where your feet hang in stirrup type things and swing and your arms hold onto poles and swing in time with your legs
Here's one - but a very expensive one

Hi All,
Nice to see everyone sounding happy today. Well done on the weight loss Sunnyday. Sorry to hear about your sister's news Mrs M. I'm pleased Frogga to hear you have managed to find at least one summery outfit to wear.
I had a doctor's appointment this morning to discuss my blood test results and the outcome is I've been prescribed thyroxine. I am crossing my fingers that it means I will finally start losing weight properly - I've been trying so hard for ages and losing so little that it has been really irritating me. It's ironic that I was so pleased at the thought of going onto a lifetime prescription but if it works it weill be great. I am still going to walk as much as I can everywhere and stick to 1400 calories a day but here's hoping it will now have a significant effect.
We've had a lovely day so far. I had a walk up to the doctors this morning - went the extra long way round so did a 40 min walk rather than 20 min one. Then OH and I went out for a walk at a nearby beauty spot where we had our very first date and did another 40 min walk (at a much slower pace though). We treated ourselves to an icecream and enjoyed the sunshine then called in to a little teashop on the way home for lunch.
I am now going to have a lie on the patio in the sunshine and read my book. I've planned another walk with my dogwalking friend this evening that will be at least an hour and a half long and maybe longer. Hopefully, the scales will show a drop tomorrow - fingers crossed!!
B: Muesli with raisins and skimmed milk. Cranberry juice.
L: Bacon and mushroom sandwich. Raspberry ripple icecream.Wont want a lot after eating out so probably yoghurt and an orange.

If I'd been drinking tea, my keyboard and screen would be covered.
Took MIL out today, we went to John Lewis at Cheadle, but spotted a garden centre with coffee shop on the way. Didn't stop though.
Successful trip though bit bu@@ered on the no-food-spend challenge. (in my defence, I only agreed to that on the spot, without having done a weekly shop first, only got what was left from the weekend as far as fruit and veg were concerned. More of that later. )
I was running late so didn't get my porridge before I went. Had a banana and pear though.
MIL treated to coffee and we shared a cookie. It turned out she had only had a half yogurt for breakfast. SHe's trying to lose weight as well. Eating normal foods, she just has roughly half of everything, which is how she came to have a half yogurt from last night's dinner!
We went to Sainsbury's as it's there next to JL. I was really amazed at how expensive ther f&V is in there....95p for an iceberg lettuce! I got a couple of things and we went round by Lidl on the way home. NO lettuce there either, it seems there are people who only eat lettuce in the hot weather... we eat it year round. got a few more bits of f&v there.
Lunch.... had half a ham s/w each and half a toasted teacake each, sitting outside at the garden centre. MIL treated and bought me the plant I had chosen... welsh onion, will be useful just to have a bit for flavouring salads, instead of buying spring onions, which always seem dear to me.
Got "plastic" tablecloth for new table, but looks like fabric. Got shoes to wear for wedding and golden wedding later in the year (expensive, as I have to get wide ones) and the lady found the sandals I had chosen in the stockroom ready for the sale... last year's colour, which I liked better, for half price. Whoo hooooo Gabor shoes for £30! Unlike some here I never lose weight on my feet, so they will be fine. Also found some paper I like for my new treatment room, seems to go with everything I'm planning for the room, looks ok in daylight, will try it in artificial light next.
That's my day. I need to beetle round frantically now so that it looks like I've done something today, DW/WM/BM would be a good start, glad I got food ready this morning before I went.
Hope that you have all had a good day, wish I could get F&V at German prices!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
Trying not to waste food!:j

Sounds like one of those things they tie you up in when you're going through a difficult birth
just what i thought!
One day, I will have an original thought & not just keep saying to other posts "that's wot I was going to write...."
I've just agreed to go swimming on saturday morning. Reckless I know, have now got to either
a) lose 18 lbs in next 36 hours (actually, that's quite a neat sum isn't it! 1 lb every 2 hours!)
b) contact the Japanese ambassador in case whaling fleet in vicinity of swimming pool at that time.
Hmmm, sounds like a Plan B to me. Am I the only one who manages to look fatter in swimsuit than completely naked? P'raps the distractions on show when starkers (& trust me, I am not talking about attractive here) are the reason. Anyhoo, DD (8) actually informed me last time (I was showing off doing somersaults) that I looked just like a whale, & was a BIT SLOW to correct herself to say dolphin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She was out of hospital the next day0
