I have some 3/4 ones too but the trouble is you have to shave your legs when you wear them!:D I've got olive skin and dark hair so tend to be a bit hairy in the leg region!( probably too much info! ):D

    *giggles*

Me too.. but when I was a size 8/10 I STILL had legs like a cart oss.. The nearest thing I get to shorter than 3/4 is a pair of leggings and a skirt!!

Frogga... I have a friend who wears tents and just accessorises... amazing what you can do with a few beads ;) ... She always looks fab.. and is probably bigger than you judging by the quantity you quoted the other day.. so there!! if you are confident with your clothes!! (I didn't say self!!) the coverings can be what the inside is.. beautiful!!!! Can I come shopping??? My honesty is brutal.. perfect shopping companion! There are so many 'ordinary' shops doing bigger sizes now there will be the perfect garment somewhere.. just not primark.. it is all junk.. and really stupid sizes! Evans sale rail is me!

I adore courgettes! Those and leeks are my absolute favourites. Courgettes are especially nice stir-fried (with sesame oil or some ginger - they're like little sponges for those flavours!!!), or griddled and then made into a tower with mushrooms and HM tomato salsa, like a big veggie burger! x

After an hour online, i've found out that there's a swimming pool relatively near my house... it's £3 a session, and open from 7am so perfect for a few laps before work. Thing is, i'm not sure I remember how to swim? Think it's worth purchasing a swimsuit and having a go? How many calories am I likely to burn anyway? I'm not sure i'll be good at laps! x

I read this week that a half hour swim can burn 280 calories :D I swim 2-3 times a week, more if I can manage it. Buy a swimsuit and see how you go!:T
I go to early sessions when I can but I'm lucky as I work 2mins walk from a big Aquatics centre so can go in my lunchbreak.:D

You won't have frogotten how to swim, when I started going I could only do 1 length without stopping but now I do half a mile (16 x 50m) at lunchtime and more if I go in the mornings

    You'll love it!!!:T :T

Just had salad, veggie burger and a small jacket for tea followed by fresh English strawberries:drool: I ate loads of fruit this afternoon so tonight I might just have an SW HIFi bar or a bag of ryvita minis for my 2nd healthy extra.........WI tomorrow night:eek:

I love all veggies except artichokes -YUK (to quote the green one) and I'm not overkeen on green beans

    evening everyone

popping back in the hope of some inspiration  was supposed to be doing meatballs for dinner tonight but when i was s*ck couple of weeks ago....that was what came back up.....:o so i'm struggling to even look at them, let alone cook them

any ideas? otherwise me and OH are gonna end up with scrambled egg on toast with worcester sauce. although now i've written it down i quite fancy it.... typical

MRSM hope ur sister's chemo is successful. as you say its even more of an incentive to keep yourself as healthy as you can - one reason why i have never smoked ;) its bad enough to be very ill, let alone to be worrying "what if i hadn't....?"

anyway folks i guess i'll get on and do this scrambled egg. day turned out busy - trying to distract myself from my face ache :o plan to veg out on the beanbag tonight (got no sofa at the mo, new one due saturday  )

    night all

I heard that swimming was doubly good - when you're rubbish at it (as I am), just keeping your head above water burns the calories; then once you're better at it you can keep going for longer and burn them that way :rotfl:

I've not been in for a while, am trying hard this week with the sunny weather, can't be doing with stews in the sun! So am on the lunchtime salads. And bored of them already :o Resenting the 99p spent on an iceberg lettuce that I'm not keen on, but then I didn't fancy any of the other stuff either (the bagged, chlorinated c**p that dissolves after 24 hours )

    OK, I'm going to attempt a weigh in.... 10st 6and a half... Don't think I'll update the signature :eek::rolleyes:

Will have to try harder :o
Dinner today was griddle-panned venison sausages (mmmmm and low fat!) with veg and gravy. No idea what to have for any meal tomorrow; what can I do with lettuce?? ?

THanks for all the good ideas ~ gonna try ebay and the Good Pricks site :D Also we have got a sports shop near hear so I'll have a look there too on the way home from work tomorrow.

Also going to Mr T tonight so I'll look there. Last year I bought a gentlemans shirt from there and it was very cool. However, when we all started being good in Septmenber I threw it out thinking it would be way to big next summer

Was in tears when Mr Frog came home as he is very handsome and I keep thinking he'll be off soon. I KNOW people must look at him and think he could do so much better. We were a nice looking couple once upon a time and I've really let myself go. I'm very embarrassed about it.

He said that we should both go for a long quick walk in the evening when it gets cooler. Or perhaps a bike ride. He is trying to help, but that makes me feel like he's my carer not my lover :o I would only say that to you peeps as it's a bit embarrassing but I know you'll know what I mean.

I tell you what though, I'm NEVER gonna put this weight on again. My God I've learnt a hard lesson, but I have learnt it. The VERY last thing I want to do right now is binge :D

Thanks for the support, you are great pals :A

Hey Mrs - catching up and got as far as this one - love the name for the website by the way. It is quite a good place to check out and some of their stuff is actually OK.

Your bit about OH going off has hit a chord with me. My OH is 6 years younger (toyboy:D ) and in my eyes is gorgeous, then I look in the mirror and think "why is he with this fat, ugly now 40 year old?" I know he loves me and, bless him, thinks I am a size 12 but it is a worry and does nothing for my self-esteem. I do get a bit of the green eyed monster sometimes but figure that hey - he is still here so must be doing something right!
