I'm here but only for 2 mins more, what's up?
Think it went a bit quiet on here for a while
Glad you're in a good mood frogga - yeah 7 weeks and then you won't see them again in any case so it doesn't matter! And then when you do bump into them months later - you'll be nice and slim and they'll notice it even more because they haven't seen you in a while
Why does no-one notice your weight loss when you see them every single week, or do they just not comment?working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Hello Im here too
Just got off the phone with my mum... and the conversation would have sent me head first into the fridge at one time..... sis has just had the results of her latest scan and there is a secondary mass - in her stomach this time... so its 6 more sessions of chemo..apparently they knew it was there and were hoping her chemo would deal with it at the same time as the other..but it didn't it got bigger.. so its a different chemo this time..
Strangely enough as cr*ppy as i feel it has actualy strengthened my resolve to shift this blubber and keep ramming in all the good food into my system and hubbies... have cut right back on red meat... think its about to go completely, i don't fry.. never have.. and need to keep the processed stuff to a minimum... so just need to keep focussed and realise that my health is the most important thing...
sorry..enough "grumping"...
frogga... glad you felt a little cooler mrs lady :j .... pah they will be hanging off you like sack bags soon
right best get of and get something done..back into the garden me thinks..that should distract me for a bit until hubby comes home late this evening-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

I think it depends on the person, some people don't feel comfortable giving compliments. I work with an Egyptian woman and several Polish women and they regularly hand out compliments but others as you say, never seem to notice/comment.
Frogga - you'll be a stone lighter next week so the top will be too big then!!
OOOhhhhhhh!! I made 500 posts!!!!

I noticed that someone at work had lost weight, I hadn't seen her for ages, but ended up supporting a student in her classroom. I commented, told her how gorgeous she looks, she's pretty anyway. It seems she has been doing the Cambridge Diet.
I have to say this wouldn't be right for me, whether it works or not! Three drinks a day wouldn't do it!
She seemed pleased with the compliments and the fact that I'd noticed."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hi everyone, thank you for the warm welcome! Like a lot of you I too am feeling very frumpy - I can only fit in to my back & navy suits for work, and everyone else is wearing lovely light linen-y things..I just keep focusing on my bikini/dress for my hols. Also, hate my job at the mo, so feeling a bit rubbish about that.
Anyhoo, today's meals are/have been:
B: Fruit, oats, honey & greek yoghurt
L: horrible egg & cress sandwich on whole-wheat; applewill be a tuna pasta salad, half of which I'll save for lunch tomorrow.
Exercise -0 -
After an hour online, i've found out that there's a swimming pool relatively near my house... it's £3 a session, and open from 7am so perfect for a few laps before work. Thing is, i'm not sure I remember how to swim? Think it's worth purchasing a swimsuit and having a go? How many calories am I likely to burn anyway? I'm not sure i'll be good at laps! x0

Exercise - nothing today as still sore from yesterday. But must do some running over the next few days - am having nightmares about finishing the race on sunday and being so last there's no one left!0
