Good evening!
Hope everyone has had a good day
Mrs M - thank-you and well done on averting disaster today :A
Frogga - It sounds like you and your OH have a very strong relationship. With his support and the support of your MSE friends you can definitely succeed - keep up the good work and it won't be long before you can buy clothes more easily. None of my summer clothes fit either, I tried on a pair of cut off trousers I wore last year and couldn't get them over my thighs!:p Can't afford any new ones so looks like my lower legs will have to cook for a while! Someone on this thread said they had legs like a russian shot putter (can't remember who), I feel a bit like that about my own legs so cut offs is as far as I go!
Rockie4 - You poor thing! Hope you feel better soon (((hug)))
Winebox - I too am cursed with a boyfriend who weighs less than I do  He works as a tree surgeon which is a very physical job so he eats like a horse and still has a body fat percentage of 4.2!!!! I'd feed him lard if he'd eat it. For lunch every day he three muffins, sandwiches made with four rounds of bread, two packets of crisps, four pieces of fruit, a cookie and a piece of flapjack! I swear his thighs are half the size of mine - its just not right!
I managed to be good all day and stick to my eating plan so I am feeling pleased with myself :A - I wonder what the scales will say tomorrow?0 -
:grouphug:Big Hugs to everyone :grouphug:
I've put on 1lb but on the scale of how you guys are feeling, v insignificant.
Isn't it strange how a bit of sunshine, can make you feel the biggest hefalump in the world. My lightbulb moment was when I visited my friend in Oz and it was lovely and sunny and it seemed everyone she knew looked like someone from Home and Away and I felt like a frump and really didn't have the confidence to go out.
Frogga, I hope some of the suggestions on here help you and you at least find some other clothes to wear. Perhaps you should post a piccy of the fleece here and if you start to waver we can remind you of it. Just keep going one foot in front of the other and you find once you get to the top of the hill, you'll be able to run down the other side :rotfl: . MrsM being a total inspiration and did really well not to let her evil twin sabotage her efforts.
Big hugs again to everyone else that's feeling low (I'm waiting How to look good naked and have come over all Gok Wan!)0 -
Here's my leg story - back in the day when I used to live in London I worked for a publishing firm who were doing one of Paul Daniel's books - ohhhhh, the glamour! Anyway the guy came in who used to write all his tricks with him, looked at the 20 year old me (I SAID it was back in the day
) and said 'Oh you've got legs just like Peter Beardsley!'
EXACTLY what a young woman needs to hear
Happy? No, not really
Big hugs for anyone who needs them - from the woman with the freaky legs! :rotfl:
Editted to say - I have had a crap day at work, I am drinking wine (but mydailyplate says I am allowed! Honest!), I have just screamed at my son and somewhere on the thread something sparked my peter beardsley thigh thought process - be thankful you don't have to live with my head!Comps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%

frogga - I said 'almost' human!:D
I hope the tops are ok x
Rockie - poor you , hope you're not too sore x
am watching too fat to toddle ATM - quite interesting!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
I've had a bad day eating wise.
I'm also dreading going and getting out my summer trousers, don't know if they'll fit."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
Trying not to waste food!:j

Hello everyone - well done to pigpen, toniwoty, Nix and Purpleivy on the weight losses! Also HUGE :T :T to Mrs M for resisting the urge to binge - it's what I want to be able to do more than anything else at the moment!
Frogga - I know what you mean about the clothes - I wear the same stuff all the time. I got a couple of cheesecloth long tops last summer which covered me and were okay (wouldn't have looked twice at them if I was thin though) from Simply Be and I got one out today as it was warm.
Not had a great day eating wise. I went to the GP this morning with my colicky tummy, and instead of giving me something she said she wanted me to see a gastro-enterolgist to see what it is. I had a colonoscopy (camera in the bowel) three years ago and he removed a small polyp, which he said was normal and needed no follow up, but today the GP said that she still wanted him to have another look at me and so now I am in a major panic! The embarassing thing is that 3 years ago when I saw him I was big (not this big) and I told him I was doing all I could to lose weight, and now I have to go back and I'm even bigger! I came home from the GP and ate two bagels with philadelphia light and a bowl of leftover chicken and rice from yesterday, followed by three pieces of almond cake which I don't even really like so I heated it up with jam and made custard:eek: I wasn't going to have any tea but still managed to eat a fried egg sandwich and a load of crispbreads with philadelphia light and a yoghurt. I am such an idiot. You must all think I am the most awful nutcase. Sorry to be so negative.Jane

Why is it that the retail industry thinks that skinny peeps wanna dress like $l@pper$ and bigger girls are all old? It's the same with shoes. I can't get lovely shoes in wide fittings. Did you know, if you have wide feet you have to like shoes my grandmother wouldn't be seen dead in?
Purpleivy Have you tried Hotter Shoes (http://www.hottershoes.com)? It depends what you're after, but not all the styles are frumpy - and they do seem to be improving the extra wide range every year. Not cheap, but cheap and MS aren't always the same thing. If we are supposed to be thin, why does chocolate exist?0 -
Morning :j woo hoo another 1lb gone today! :TI thought I would have put back on or STS so I'm very happy - its going to be a challenge to get rid of the other 4.5lb before the end of the month to hit my Marvelous in May target though:D
RS - sounds like you need a (((hug))). I hope everything is alright, try not to worry until you find out if there's something to worry about (easier said than done I know) and in the meantime look after your body and that will help it look after you :A I always turn to food when I'm anxious too (or any other negative emotion!) but now I try to remind myself that it'll only end up making me feel worse and I try to think of things that I know will make me feel better instead, like giving myself a manicure, having a long lovely bath, going for a walk in the sunshine, visiting a friend etc etc.
Good luck to anyone else having their WI todayMy food plan is as follows:
B - branflakes and skimmed milk
S - banana
S - half an avocado
L - HM soup, small granary roll, yoghurt
S - banana
D - chicken stirfry/salad (depends how hot the weather is!) + a solero or skinny cow lolly (under 100 kcals and v.nice if its hot!)
Righto - off to work for me, see you later, hae a good day everyone:hello:0 -
morning all
well i feel rotten. DS has passed on his stinking cold and my wisdom tooth is playing me up again  spent most of the night shovelling down painkillers and propped upright in bed. the pain is worst in my ear rather than my tooth and its sooooooooo painful, i was lying there crying at about midnight. so i'm tired, in pain and all snotty. usually this would be the start of a day of comfort eating but i know the signs now so i'm stopping it herei plan to get thru the day with lots of comforting hot drinks (either tea or hot ribena or maybe one hot choc)
food for today:
b- weetabix and banana
l - fruit and yoghurts
d -
i've got a ton of blackbs and strawbs need using so i may shove those in the bottom of a jelly for after dinner.
