Morning folks:hello:
Well done the losers:T
Thanks for the ((hug)) toniwoty:grouphug:
MrsM you've been busy in the garden:D I planted my herbs up in old sinks yesterday.:D We have tomatoes, courgettes, carrots, broad beans, leeks, sweetcorn, cabbage and cauli waiting to be transfered to the allotment (today if OH gets his ar*e in gear) and we have potato bags on the patio (back yard) and lettuce in tubs.
Another one for combats here! I do have some 3/4 ones which I like but Trinny and Susanah say I shouldn't wear them as I have short legs!! I only ever wear shorts on holiday when there's no-one around that knows me, then I don't care what I look like!!!!
Stuck to plan yesterday, the ironing mountain took me 2 hours to get through  so I had a well deserved glass of wine when it was done:D
Today I’ve had weetabix with yoghurt and fruit for brekkie, I have salad with new potatoes (and I might see if the shop has some cottage cheese) for lunch, loads of fruit.:D
Tea will be ….not sure, I’ll see how I feel when I get in but if it’s hot then another salad with something
Exercise today is my 10,000 steps and a lunchtime swim
See you later folks :A0 -
Morning everyone!
Am so jealous of you all who can grow your own veg - I live in a flat with no garden and no way of having window boxes, but did satisfy my green fingered urges at OH's parents this weekend with a bit of weeding! They've just planted some tomatoes and beans, can't wait to watch them grow.
I find it hard to control what I eat when away at OH's parents (especially my wine consumption - they're very lovely and generous) but whilst I had desert most evenings it was healthy mango sorbet (gorgeous mango chunks in) and I ignored most biscuits!
Today:
B: 2 x white bread w/ marmite
L: 1/2 a carton of soup (300ml), orange, pear, brown rollHM chicken jalfrezi, 2 microwaved poppadoms
No intention of snacking today! x0 -
Just back from a week in France.... but that involved bringing back daughter's flat's contents... filled the car... now the stuff is EVERYWHERE.
I took a photo to send to her (she's still in France!), how do you put a photo on here?
Foodwise,,, well a little too much French gastronomy.. so added 2lb :mad:0 -
Morning all,
Lovely day here, whole garden needs watering and the weeds seem to be taking over some of the beds so will have to tackle some of that.
Have had weetabix and banana for breakfast;
lunch tuna salad sandwich;
dinner will be herring, mackerel and mixed veg...might even barbecue
Congratulations to losers

Hi FRogga, I know where you are coming from, I have been wearing the same pair of black trousers to leave the house in for the last 2 months, as everything else pinches at the waist. The buttons are already moved. I don't have as much to lose as some here, but I still know how it feels when your clothes don't fit and there's that resistance to going into a size up. Even if I go a zize up nothing looks right.
I've decided that I'm going to try and have a good day today. Wonder how long that will last!
Have a good day all, have to go to work in a min, but will be back in a while, so will report on food etc etc then . Hope that the rest of you have a good day and lose if you are going for WI
I too find that since I got to (early !!!LOL! ) menopause I always feel warm. In addition, I wear a wig (I have androgenetic alopecia, so have some hair, just not enough or in the right places!) so that makes me feel hot as soon as I get in the kitchen or the weather gets warmer.
I'm glad you're being positive,
Well, editing here, updating too. Time ran out!
I have been to work for a while and now home. I have to go back in a while, pls will someone shout at about 1pm in case I have gone to sleep.
I have a horrible headache. I've made a cup of darjeeling (my German girl's mum sent it ... or rather St Nicolas did... when she was staying here in the autumn.) I'm trying to use up some of the stuff in the tea/coffee drawer, partly so it doesn't get wasted and is MS, cos I'm not using the regular teabags and partly for the space. I have one of those little hinged thingys on a rigid handle. It works OK, but just have to watch out for a few leaves in the bottom. I quite often don't finish the cuppa any where. On a bad day, you can walk round the house and find the cups of tea abandoned wherever I happen to have been working.
I was pleased to find that my new 'bathroom' scales seeem to be getting the hang of things now. For the first few (too many) days they didn't seem to be going down at all. As they are in small graduations I was hoping to see some change sooner. It reckons I have lost 600g since last Wed. That will do.
I still feel as if I'm not settled into my weight loss. I am enrolled on the WLR and managing to fill in most things most days. I can see that the balance of nutrients is quite good. It tells me I have averaged 7+ servings per day of fruit and veg, which is good. Wonder if I can get it up to 10? I've just had a WW lemon cheesecake yogurt. It's a shame I've joined the nospend thread this week, as I would have liked to get some more! I am going to try and make some prune puree to go with yogurt, the activia ones are lovely, but such a price!
WOndering about making my own hm jelly. I have fruit in the freezer and gelatine in the cupboard. I would rather not use sugar free jelly, I'm a little bit funny about sweeteners, I don't avoid them completely, but limit their use.
Blimey, I'm rambling!
Brekkie was porridge and a pear.
Lunch will be whatever I can find in the fridge in the way of salads. There is def tomatoes and cuc, not sure what the substance of it will be. I used up my big batch of hummus when friends came on Friday.
Dinner will be leftovers stretched with whatever I can find. There are some meatballs in sauce, prob 1 1/2 portions, so maybe some veg or beans and some more gravy in it? Certain amount of eating up to do after the weekend."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Taplady... i never go shorter than 3/4 trousers either..but with me its because i have calve muscles like a russian shot putter -a male one at that
I have some 3/4 ones too but the trouble is you have to shave your legs when you wear them!:D I've got olive skin and dark hair so tend to be a bit hairy in the leg region!( probably too much info! ):DDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Hello everyone, may I join please? I've been a long time lurker and have been exercising a wee bit on my own (I'm doing a 5k on Sunday - eek! will probably come in last!) but life has been a bit crises ridden lately and I've been straying off plan/drinking far too much wine/spending too much money on food. However, was my birthday last week, and decided to just buckle down to this "lifestyle change" (am NOT dieting!). I have 2 stones to lose, partricularly on my middle, but at 4 foot 11 inches I just look like a ww ball, lol! My aim is for 1st Sept, when I go on holiday, as I bought a dress last year which I vowed I would wear and never and am determined this time to do so. I cook most of my own meals anyway, (tho as I said, lately have been spending overbudget mostly on takeaways/going out when there is perfectly good food in the house) and have signed up to the Lunch Log challenge and the Giving up Alcohol thread on the DFW board.
So, today:
Exercise: 60 minute Davina Power of 3 DVD (was lying on the floor moaning by the end of that this morning!)
B: Mixed fruit, handful of granola & 2 teaspoons full fat Greek yoghurt.
L: shop bought sushi (bought from my grocery budget, tho); an applegrilled mackerel, 2 boiled baby new potatoes & salad
My weigh in was Sunday: 10st 2lbs. Hopefully will have lost 2lbs by next Sunday!
Sorry this was so long.0 -
Quick5 minute break - I succesfully avoided cakes in the staff room at break time and sat eating my half an avocado feeling good about myself. Cakes were still there at lunch so I've taken a lovely walk in the sunshine to my Mums which is where I am now :T
So today is going well - WI tomorrow and after my weekend, I'll be happy if I can just STS! Might go for a run later to help things along though!;)
Congrats Nix and all other losers, (((hugs))) to those that need them - better get back to work!0 -
Near Disaster Just Averted
Nearly went and did it ladies n gents... nearly had a blow out  .. hubby is away and i KNOW that is where this stems from..for god sakes he only went this morning -so he would normally be at work now anywayits not because im on my own as such -but because tits what i used to do when hubby was away -pre this thread  ... got out of the garden thinking hmmmmmm i want garbage:wall: .... so got myself changed walked to the NAFFI... fully intending to have a junk fest
grabbed a basket...and went in search.... eyed up the pork pie and sausage rolls
... ready made sandwiches n pasta salads
... then to the crispy section..cheese n onion and pokey bacon , then off to the cakey section... all the time trying to reason with myself that i would only feel sick when i was done..in the end i picked up WW mag and made myself come out ..NO FOOD :j ..that is twice i have done that since i started back in August... i go there fully intending to stuff myself -but then get there and can't find anything i really really want
still its another 1hrs exercise i guess
I know part of it was that i hadn't had anything since my yog this morning so i guess i must be hungry so in a minute im off for some lunch..think i will get some sliced beef out of the freezer to have on a salad for dinner..will grab an orange now whilst i decide what i fancy for lunch

Afternoon all - congrats to all the losers and welcome jlynncsf - join the happy (if a little mad) band.
Yesterday ended up a bit of a pain - we had a couple of power cuts and by 8.30 last night were without power again, hubby had come back from outing and managed to have a bath. We were going to get a pizza anyway but the local takeaways were no good because of the power. So we took a trip into town, found out the power was back and came home with a bucket of KFC (yes there are two of us!!:D ).
So - today I am up with new resolve - after my good loss last week I need to up the momentum and keep going. Have decided to change my Weigh in Day to a Friday - weekends are a big problem to me so am hoping this will keep me on straight and narrowI have also put my pedometer on today to see just how many steps I do manage in a normal work day. Will post later on final total.
On another note - I brought some strawberry plants yesterday for me little garden - I did so well with raspberries last year I thought I would try something else - fingers crossed.
Off now for another fun filled afternoon at work
