Well done Nix on that lovely loss. :T :T
You back to normal now MRSMC?A nice special healthy dinner will set you up a treat.
I realised at the weekend that I'm only a hairs breath away from a right ole feed up if I were to let myself go. I didn't regret the foods I ate and they weren't too bad but I could see the potential for me to be a right greedy wort-hog if I didnt keep a check on myself. You know, eating for eating sake. Its always hiding there ready to surprise you if you let it.
I wouldn't mind if it was because I was missing foods or truly hungry...but nope just pure greed on my part.
Last lot of washing just clicked so will have to peg that out. Ought to go and clear the ironing now but its a bit hot. Want to go and play in my greenhouse instead. :j Might just iron down the middle of the shirts and dash out and have a rummage in the compost.
How's you chilli peppers btw MrsMc? Mine seem to be finally freshening up. Only about 2 or 3 inches tho.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. How on earth did I manage to spend T H A T much in one morning
. DH said I should go and get some nice undies as nothing fits any more and all my old shuff never was fit to be seen in public anyway. So three new bra's (one of which was so expensive I should wear it over my clothes) and nine pairs of pants later, I remembered I needed some more body butter to help the old skin shrink and not hang in folds:eek: . Ventured into the Body Shop and got mezmerised by the glorious wiffs. £65 later I escaped and am now totally guilt ridden
. No food for the rest of the month then, groan.
Fantastic weight loses folks, big congrats to you and to MRSM for overcoming the urge to munch. God you make me so proud :A !!!!
Food wise only got breaky after first shopping trip to Asda so about 10.30 I had usual Oatabix with yogurt and fruit. Still not hungry so think I might treat myself for lunch (seems to be the pattern of the day) to the gooseberry fool I bought to try. Blooming Asda seen to have stopped selling my beloved huge additive free dates and Admirals Pie and Quorn nuggets, just what are they playing at. Then tea will be a large salad with boiled potatoes and flan with ciabatta garlic bread. DH has to go and see a job after work so might not be back till 9ish and this tea will keep for him.
Welcome jlynncsf and belated happy birthday, an excellent time for a lifestyle change, good on yer!
Well better go and get some work done and hide the credit card. At least it's a cash back one :money: . Well done anyway for doing so well. The thought of going anywhere or doing anything at the moment....still have headache. Will do some sitting down jobs, a few phone calls to make. I didn't really have a proper lunch in the end, so will have to watch myself, may have some fruit and a cuppa tea.... and a sleep!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Hi All,
Well done Nix and Toniwoty on the weight losses and Mrs M on resisting the urge to eat. Welcome to jlynn too - I'm only 5 foot so know how it feels to be small and overweight.
Well, I didn't plan yesterday's meal when I wrote it all down yesterday and ended up nibbling instead - 2 Cokes, 4 large slices of cheese, 2 cheddar and walnut flatbreads and 2 very large homemade biscuits. Not what I intended at all. I did make up for it slightly by going out with my friend and her dog for an evening walk and did around 4 miles.
I also arranged to meet her this morning and we had a fantastic walk through the woods and along an old railway track. We were out for 3 hours and did around 8 miles. Since then I've walked up to the bank and come home the long way round so done another half an hour. All in all I think I have walked at least 22,000 steps today. I feel heavier than I did at the last weigh in though so I hope it goes by Friday.
B: Fruit and fibre with muesli, raisins and skimmed milk. Cranberry and raspberry juice.
L: Fresh white soft roll from the bakers filled with tinned salmon (no butter). Side salad of cherry tomatoes, cucumber and beetroot. Banana. Not sure whether to join OH in pork chop, jacket potato and peas or to make some HM carrot soup and have that as damage limitation for yesterday. Raspberry and blackberry yoghurt.
Snack: Orange
Have a good day everyone.

Gosh KM, I have just got back from long weekend away & am reading thro all the posts since last Friday whilst in my head composing what I am going to write, came to this & it's WORD FOR WORD what i was going to put! spooky. So think I can honestly say I know what you mean. Have still not read all posts after yours up to today had to stop to reply.
My problem as ever was the vino....I used to be able to drink like a fish & still lose weight (in fact I used to swear it speeded weight loss up must affect my metabolism) but I think now the calories are COUNTING. Such a hot day today came home from work to put on shorts & sleeveless top (not for public viewing) & would you believe it - everything has shrunk by a whole size over the winter! There must have been a LOT of damp in the air.
Whilst away at weekend had embarrassing moment when OH went to fridge to get stuff out for lunch & there emerged bbq'd chicken drumstick with large chomp out of it - you could virtually see my teethmarks. Late night munchies. "when the HELL did you do THAT?!" school bus time must fly (waddle)0 -
fEEL LIKE ABSOLUTE !!!!!! just thought I'd share that with you
Went into town with my Mum and bought nothing. Went into loads of shops including Evans and got nothing. I'm sure there were things in there that would have fitted but as I'm not yet in my 70's I didn't like em
Went to M and S men's dept and got 4 XXL shirts but ALL too tight around my tummy. I never realised how bad I looked til I went into those changing rooms. God I look absolutly disgusting. My Tummy now comes round from the side like an apron.
Just gonna have to stay in this fleece. Considered going to the GP to ask him to sign me off work for a while because I just can't cope with working in that place when it's so hot but thought that was really pathetic so didn't phone.

Going into town today again as we've got quite a good camping shop in Ipswich so I'm aiming for a tent
most of my wardrobe is from Milletts.
Just read your last post too, bloody changing room lights. It really helped me when in work the other ladies were talking about how shops deliberately put FLATTERING mirrors in to make you look SLIMMER so you will buy stuff, so why did I choose the one cubicle that got the mirror back to front??0 -

frogga - have you got a Soccer Sports or Sports World near you? thats where my friend gets her polo shirts from. I'm sorry you're feeling so carp (((hugs))) my mate had a similar problem a few weeks ago when she was going away on a works holiday and as she'd put 2 stone back on had got nothing to wear other than 1 set of black clothes that she kept washing. We trawled the shops trying to find something and in the end she grabbed 2 shirts from Evans and a jumper from TJ Hughes but I dont think she'll wear them and she wouldn't try them on either. Surely there must be somewhere to get decent clothes from?Do what you love :happyhear0 -

Why is it that the retail industry thinks that skinny peeps wanna dress like $l@pper$ and bigger girls are all old? It's the same with shoes. I can't get lovely shoes in wide fittings. Did you know, if you have wide feet you have to like shoes my grandmother wouldn't be seen dead in?"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit.
