    morning all
haven't been around over the weekend as we were so busy. not too bad foodwise - mostly grabbing food as and when. silly really as i made sure i had prepared stuff for DS and taken with us  sometimes i'm my own worst enemy. but i don't think the choices i made were too bad considering the options i had. altho last night i had a naughty - two big chunks of a tiger french stick with strawb jam :p have to say it was delicious and something i've not indulged in for some time.

today i;ve got lots of housework to catch up on so hopefully should burn off a few cals.

i'm changing my WI to tues morning - i used to WI with a friend but she has gone off to do her own thing (some sort of crazy crash diet) and even tho i've tried to help her she's not having it. so she will get to her goal weight quite quick but then go back to eating normally and put it all back on. whereas i'm trying to make it a lifestyle change so that it works long term. oh well  we can't convert everyone to our sensible OS weight loss i suppose ;) and my scales announced i've lost 0.5lb :j its better than a gain i guess

    anyway food for today:
b - special k (the new one with oats and honey - yummy scrummy)
l - slice toast and jam, yoghurt, banana and whatever other fruit i can rustle up
d - sausage and mash or toad in the hole

hope everyone is feeling better today. been reading the posts and i think you all deserve a big (((((((hug))))))) and :T

so we're being marvellous in may....i failed BH challenge by 3.5lbs  but i'm gonna try for 5lbs in may (i'm hopign for more but i can't fail another challenge!!!!)

right you lovely lot, i'm off to potter round the house, have a good one:A

Morning toniwoty and all to follow. :)

Well done Pigpen and toniwoty on your losses this week, and anyone else that I've forgotten.

It really sunny here already and set to stay the same all week so I think I'll whizz round the housework and then get out in the garden this afternoon and get some work done. Love the garden at the mo. :j
Not sure if I've got a friend to lunch or not today. Will plan boiled eggs and then I've enough for two if she does. ;)

    Food today:
    Readybrek
Boiled egg and seedy bread fingers
Foiled baked salmon, steamed veg and pots

    Snacks - grapefruit, apple, pear

Must quickly go make a huge vat of spag sauce for the month. The lads are having lasagne later but thats not my thing. I'm more a carbonara girl.

Better go hang my first lot of washing out and then have a quick surf before I wake DS2 up.

Have a lovely Tuesday everyone and all the best for the weigh ins. ;)

Ok Ok I'm REALLY TRYING ot be possitive this morning , but I'm hot  I really love the sun but now I'm so big I haven't got ANYTHING cool to wear AT ALL!!!

I know you'll think I'm exagerating but I only ever wear ONE jumper cos that's the only one that fits :o Even in the winter it was embarrasssing as I work 5 days a week and wear the same clothes everyday. In the warm weather it's 10 x worse because I'm really hot. It's a thick fleece.

I went into town a few weeks ago and bought 4 tops from Peacocks. All XXL and NONE of them fit. THey are OK around the top but cling to my bum and belly. THey look dreadful

Going into town today again as we've got quite a good camping shop in Ipswich so I'm aiming for a tent

Don't feel like binging though so I guess that's a good thing. Just really wish I hadn't let it get this bad :o

Have a good day all xxxx

Hi FRogga, I know where you are coming from, I have been wearing the same pair of black trousers to leave the house in for the last 2 months, as everything else pinches at the waist. The buttons are already moved. I don't have as much to lose as some here, but I still know how it feels when your clothes don't fit and there's that resistance to going into a size up. Even if I go a zize up nothing looks right.

I've decided that I'm going to try and have a good day today. Wonder how long that will last!

Have a good day all, have to go to work in a min, but will be back in a while, so will report on food etc etc then . Hope that the rest of you have a good day and lose if you are going for WI

I too find that since I got to (early !!!LOL! ) menopause I always feel warm. In addition, I wear a wig (I have androgenetic alopecia, so have some hair, just not enough or in the right places!) so that makes me feel hot as soon as I get in the kitchen or the weather gets warmer.

    I'm glad you're being positive,

    morning everyone!

beautiful day here!:j Dh has just got home fom work and put his shorts on! - I never show my legs as I have a lot of spider veins and small varicose veins after childbirth so live in combat style trousers in summer and t shirts. I find most t shirts are low cut nowadays and dont suit me as I have very narrow shoulders and not much cleavage so everytime I bend over I end up flashing my bra! and also everything slips off my shoulders!

frogga - have you tried mens clothes? my friend buys mens XL or XXL as the clothes are longer and cover all the lumpy bits - she wears polo shirts(all black or navy) and a sleeveless gillet. She refuses to wear any other colours as she thinks dark colours help to camoflauge(sp) her size.

MRSM - your garden looks well organised!:T

2 days off now:j food plans for today are

B - shredded wheat bitesize with raisins and banana and skimmed milk

s - its cake day at the WI:D

L - jacket spud with cottage cheese and grapes

D - HM veggie lasagne with SW wedges(cajun)

hope you all have a lovely day in the sunshine!
    Do what you love :happyhear

    Hya Folks

Thanks for all your kind words re the scales...I can't do anything about it and just have to knuckle down and lose lots of weight!

Had a lovely weekend, spent most of it dodging the rain by working in the greenhouse. It now looks great, but very crowded...I will be ousting out all the plants that have overwintered in there...I repotted most of them and took loads of cuttings...anyone want some salvias (red, yellow, blue and pink flowered varieties). My re-potted toms and peppers are loking good...have to get lots of growbags in the next week or two...will have 18 toms in the greenhouse this summer with a dozen or more peppers as well. I plan on having loads of Tumbling Toms which I plan on having in pots at the front instead of lots of bedding...much mote productive!

Had lunch out yesterday with DH. We were celebrating the 29 years since we first got together...it's our silver wedding anniversary later on this year...doesn't time fly!!!!
I had lamb with oven roasted cherry toms and celeriac mash (too much pots, very little celeriac, left most of it!) The other veg was lovely, they cooked the carrots with rosemary...a lovely flavour...will try that soon. We shared a pudding...lemon grass rice pudding with mango sorbet....absolutely gorgeous!!!! I know it was hot and sunny and stuff, but this rice pudding was lovely...I might give it a go....I think it would be good cold too!

Now off to the greenhouse...did 15 mins on the bike this morning...will try another 15 mins later.

    Food today:
B: HM Muesli with Soya milk + OJ
    L: Poached egg on toast
    T: Spag bol

Will hopefully not be tempted into too many snacks..have a lovely peach beckoning after I get in from the garden, I might put it in the fridge in preparation...mmmm!

    Have a great day

    M

PS Mrs M - your garden looks great...you will have LOADS of watering to do this summer!!!!! Have you thought of an irrigation system?? Are you going away during the growing season, and have you arranged for someone to water everything??!!

    Hi Keiss

No we aren't going back home this summer..im not leaving my lovely veggies alone :p
Luckily we have an outside tap which will save my legs a little but it will be me and a trusty old watering can fending of the sun -extra exercise though which is a bonus ;)
They will get a soaking at breakfast and then those that are in need will get a drink before bed time..i also turn pop bottles into big funnels and spike them in where i get room and keep those filled up to for the very thirsty plants..ooh and i have those water holding crystals in some of the tubs too... so hopefully we will be ok.
Once the trees at the bottom of the garden get their leaves on we will get a lot of shade so that will help -as long as the warmth is there we should be allright...fingers crossed:p

well done on the loss NIX :T woohooo :D

Taplady... i never go shorter than 3/4 trousers either..but with me its because i have calve muscles like a russian shot putter -a male one at that
right back out i go :p
