    Dont do Jersey Royals ~ they're yuck :D Actually most potatoes are yuck except the chippy ones :D

    Sorry DD is being a pain in the bum. Whenever you write about her antics I want to say "ooooooo I can top that" but I guess that isn't quite the adult response is it ? Until she's bunked off school one afternoon and got married to a "totally unsuitable Frog" she's got nothing on me. Still, 18 years later that totally unsuitable Frog is the apple of my Mums eye :rolleyes: Things will work out mate. She'll grow up and then everything will be back on an even keel.

    I've been in the garden ALL day and I'm getting as brown as a berry. That's a silly saying aint it ? Berries aint brown are they? They're red. Except the blue ones, and the brown ones, oh :o

    Hello all! Still off the wagon - infact it has been towed away and crushed I think - will buy a new one tomorrow:p

    RS - I am not a parent but I do remember being a teenager and I would NEVER have spoken to my mum like that! I'm with Mrs M and I also agree with Frogga - she'll get there eventually and realise what a brill mum she's got:D
    Did you get my PM? I'm being really naughty and eating chocolate as I type - I'll probably be regretting it during the night but hey ho it has to be done sometimes!;)

    Evening all,

    It has been a wonderful day here, sunny and even warmish, had a lovely walk on the beach earlier. Today I have eaten:
    Porridge with sugar and milk;
    half bar whole nut;
    ham salad sandwich;
    Potato, mushroom and mackerel which were caught about 2 hours before I ate them....mmmmm
    other half of whole nut bar..

    Going home to-morrow.....

    RS...so sorry that you are still having a bad time with your DD....hope that you have changed your pin and don't let anyone know what it is...be kind to your self, you deserve it.

    Keiss...sorry about the scales, don't let it get you down

    Congratulations to all losers

    Rec.. I'd be contacting the school and saying as she is over 16 (is she 17/18) her education is no longer at your request and if she had such crap attendance why did they enter her at all? And tell them to stuff their bill up their own proverbials and if they want the money they'll have to contact her as she is of age to make such decisions herself and beyond your influence. I'd report the card as missing and contact the police as well.. she might them realise you do mean business.. and I'd be having the pin changed.. My son is a little !!!!!! as well and is always in trouble for something or other.. how I have managed to get his high school to keep him this long I have no idea!! .. even with 8 weeks to go they are still threatening expulsion.. which they cannot do really as although his behaviour is not within their rules he hasn't done anything recently they can kick him out for.. and I have warned him.. done my bit! mine's 17 in September.. what makes it worse is the fact he is an A* pupil.. dickweed or what?

    The scales said 11st 9 this morning.. madness.. AND AF arrived today too.. and I usually gain about 4lb in preparation for her!

    Right!

    Good girl Halo :A - check
    Brand spanking new Wagon to get on - check
    Definate lack of naughty foods in the house - check
    Good stock of raisins - check (this last one makes sense when I explain that I am bulk baking cakes for my BF's lunchbox today to store in the freezer and the only way I can ensure that I won't eat them is to put raisins in everything because they are yuk!:p)

    Looks like I'm all set! Going out for lunch today at the Greenwood Centre cafe in Ironbridge - all home cooked vegetarian fare there so should be able to find something healthy and wholesome to eat - so long as I avoid their lovely cakes - that will be my main challenge today!

    Hope you all have a lovely bank holiday and (((((hugs))))) to those who have to work or just need some hugs. :D

    Pigpen - your son looked such a little angel in that piccie you showed us a while ago of the kiddies on the sofa. I'm shocked. :eek: Is he the biggest one? You've burst my illusion if its not like the Waltons in your house. :p

    Recovering - What can I say but that you deserve a round of :T :T :T :T each time you deal with your situation without hitting the food cupboards. Bringing up kids is a complicated ole business, isn't it? And how come one kiddie can be so different from another??? Years 9-13 with DS1 had me in total despair and DS2 was just a doddle. Thankfully the 'switch flipped' at age 14 and DS1 is a different kid- who knows how or why? :confused: I'm just relieved it did cos I was feeling the worst mother alive back then.

    Nix - Am totally with you in the unrepentant scoff this weekend. I think I've finally realised that the secret is to be loud and proud about what I've eaten and fee NO GUILT at all for having a fun night/weekend. :D
    I am having a great weekend, eaten foods I usually wouldn't (and I think thats the key;) ) and now its Monday and I'm going to settle back to my usual routine of eating.
    No need to feel bad or wish I hadn't.... I had fun! :p The scales might not dip down or even move this week but so what. Its one bloomin' week.. and I feel soooo good. :T Goodness me... I'm not actually learning what it means to be balanced, am I? :D

    Food today:
    Not hungry yet so will have brunch.
    Avocado on HM seedy bread toast
    Roast chicken, roasties, steamed spinach, carrots, brocolli

    Snacks - grapefruit, apple, orange

    Just had a steaming coffee placed before me so off to relax and 'debrief' DH. Don't want to miss out on anything from the weekend and only caught up on the 'gossip' from us girls. Years have taught me that the guys have much better little gems revealed to each other. ;) And they say that women can chat! :rolleyes:

    catch you all later.

  • Morning All :wave:

    Having read through the all the posts we all seem to be having a right old mixed bag of a weekend don't we?

    I got on the scales this morning for a sneaky mid week weigh in and found I had STS :D. Can't believe how as I was a little piggie whilst we were out on Sat and was out again at MIL's yesterday. I've been having smoothies for brekkie and think that's the key. I'm getting at least 2 of my 5 and it's not bulking me up. I'm gonna carry this on for the rest of the week until my pre holiday weigh in on Friday :cool: .

    Hope the weekend gets better for those who are struggling ((((HUGS)))))

    Morning dahlinks! Well, owing to dd coming home rather late and having to phone up and say she couldn't get in, (as the door had been secured from inside!) we had a disturbed night. She had texted abt 10.25, but I'd already gone up by then and missed it,.

    I couldn't settle and eventually came downstairs, was really thirsty. Finished the last few spicy nuts&seeds that were in a dish on the table from when visitors were here and also had a piece of friend's ginger cake. Also two mugs of tea. was hungry, not had a lot to eat for evening meal (just a piece of Nutella cake !) as lunch hadn't been till 3pm and I was well stuffed!

    Today had some tea and some more tea. Just about to have even more tea (am really thirsty) and then will consider breakfast.

    Roast dinner of lamb , boulangere potatoes, mushypeas HM and whatever is lurking! Need to think of a pud as MIL is coming. Can't really offer her a yogurt I don't think!

    Might just have some fruit now and then have lunch in a bit.

    DH is out for the day so I can largely please myself. Will trot down to freezer I think and get ds a kipper out for his brekkie.

    See you all later, will be on and off as I'm having a lovely domestic day, cooking and sewing I think.
