Almo, can you not buy chocolate - if you don't have it in the house, you can't eat it?
Is there something you can do to occupy yourself when you're on your own at home? Can you take up a hobby of some sort that can distract you? I tend to write a long list of jobs that I'm meant to get done and then when I think about emptying the biscuit tin into my mouth I usually stop and think, must go do that job and tick them off as I go along. That way you could get all your jobs done, meal in the freezer ready for that one day you have together - then you can spend more of it with each other as there'll be less jobs?working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Bless you newlywed for replying. Thanks.
Shamefully, the chocolate was bought for OH's birthday - it's not that common over here in Australia, so it was meant to be a treat. Will now have to go and replace it before his bday. Whilst he is very supportive, he's a skinny little thing and does like to munch on biccies etc. I'm usually pretty good about resisting but it just got too much for me today
I do need to find something to occupy my spare time and I'll trot off and have a look at the adult education classes in a minute, the new sessions are about due to start.
I have a huge long list of jobs to do next to me here, but I'm very good at ignoring it :rotfl: . We live in a one bed flat so there's a limit to what needs doing (although I still manage to avoid a lot of it) but I am getting into a bit of a routine so that things are all finished up when OH gets home. It's a good suggestion and I really appreciate you taking the time to try and help :T0 -
OH and me are trying to cut down on sweet stuff and eat more healthily. But I still have to buy food for the kids - so I get the biscuits I don't really like (but they do), the crisps I'm not too keen on etc.
The other thing I am trying this week is to have food that I love (I get bored of apples and oranges). So when I want something sweet, I have a pot of ready cut pineapple (very lazy but it's at work) and lychee. At home I have yoghurt, tinned cherries and cherry jam (love cherries) so at least I'd go for toast and jam instead of cakeI stopped buying some of these things to cut spending down but I think I need a treat sometimes and my health deserves the extra fruit and vitamins
I also bought olive ciabatta bread which was lovely.
Find something healthy that is still a treat for you so that you might go to the fridge and pick that instead of junkworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Big hugs to everyone, bruised, in pain, and under the weather. Not feeling too great today (not ill but not right for several days now) and got very little sleep last night, so will have a pottering day today. Have been out watering and found several more potatoes have popped up over night. Hope to plant up the hanging baskets today and generally sow and tend to the fruit and veg. Forgot to say MRSM that your apotment looks great and so well organised. You must post another photo when it's all in full growth.
Oh Frogga I know exactly how you feel about clothes. A couple of years ago my DH booked a suprise weekend away for our wedding Anniversary. He told me to pack a bag at lunchtime on the day we were going and I had nothing to wear. DD went with me to get something nice but I just felt like crying, nothing fitted that I liked and what did fit looked bxxxxy awful. It put a complete damper on our break, I couldn't enjoy myself I felt such a mess. I also know what you mean bout looking at fat folk and thinking they look so unattactive. I feel so bad when DH says he loves and fancies me no matter what size I am when I don't fancy him as much as when he was slimmer. What a bxxch:o Still love him to bits though and wouldn't change him for the world, except losing half of him about 14st could meenhim living longer.
going to shuffle off now and get some jobs done then might collapse in a heap and catch up on some sleep. Feeling decidedly cheerless today.
PS the gooseberry fool was gorgious and had to prize it off Pupkins nose. He normally licks out yogurt pots but is never that enthusiastic.:D"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life, gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are." Unknown0 -
Morning all,
Going to have porridge and banana in a minute, going to do barbecue for lunch as grandsons will both be here...one off all week, one at school 3 days...will make lunch main meal...fish, sausage, baked spud and lots of salad, then have another salad with maybe more fish for tea...I'm a glutton for fresh fish.
Frogga...in your light top you must be feeling better...stop looking at others, doesn't help you and all those thin people may have problems which you don't, so they are worse off! Concentrate on the lovely thin you inside the fat suit and try to forget that the fat suit is there at all.
Well done to the losers, will catch up one of these years!

Morning everyone!
I missed breakfast this morning as I had to go to the dentist so I am ravenous and I haven't bought any lunch. This is a very dangerous situation for me to be in!
B: None
L: Nothing yetNo idea
Oh dear, feels like I am spiralling out of ontrol already and I haven't even eaten anything. Back later0 -
Hi all, it's all very emotional on here atm it's amazing how our relationships with food effect all aspects of our lives
I'm trying hard as with everyone else without my winter camouflague I feel a tad vulnerable (although I really do appreciate the stone I have lost, I'm learning to love my muffin top as it's not too overwhelming:p )
B- banana smoothie
Snack digestive biscuit
L- ham roll and apple
D-maybe tuna salad if the salad is not too limp
Take care ladies/gents (you still about orph?)0 -

Floyd get something to eat quickly before you binge on carp
I do feel better in my light top today Gran, thanksWas baking at work so I would have passed out in my fleece. I do feel a bit disloyal to my fleece though, it's all lonely on the bedroom floor and it missed it's daily trip to work
Suzid you really made me laugh, glad I'm not the only one! :rotfl: But you are right, it should be for health reasons not vanity.
Newlywed I've done a big bowl of fruit salad and keep it in the fridge for my evening treat. I bought value tinned fruit (they were pence) and I really look forward to eat every evening. Just one small big scoop though
