    Hi all,
Well done to Mrsm and Rose on your loses- Mrsm you'll have your Marvellous in May challenge done and dusted by tea time at this rate:T
I weighed in last night and STS, was initially a tad disappointed but then thought I've had two of my kids birthdays this week, been away a couple of days for work so hotel and expenses for a couple of days, so I've had four meals out this week... so really I've done flippin marvellous to STS:p (I am going to be realistic about this)
Anyway that does lend itself quite well for my Marvellous in May lose 5lbs target as I'm X stone 4.5lbs atm (can't quite type that number yet:o )
Frogga well done, takes a brave frog to come back we know you can do this, just wish you believed it ;)
    Cheerfulness- thanks for caring:D
Purpleivy, I had a mexican night once, had chilli and tortilas etc was great fun, I made a CD with all kinds of funny music and every now and then the mexican national antham started and we had to stand up and down a tequila (mit salt and lime) All my guests dressed up, lots of ponchos and sombreros also I told them to bring a home made cactus, amazing what you can do with green modelling balloons or a marrow/courgette and cocktail sticks!! We played pin the tash on the amigo and smashed a homemade art-attack pinyarta... it got messy:D
RA+ Pebbles I'm off to read about aerogardens.........
    Be good folks

Good morning you lot! I love weigh in day - so big congrats to MrsM and Rose for the fabulous losses and Rockie and Saversarn for STS - you bunch of little belters! :T Always makes me smile huge when everyone is bouncing.

Determined to keep on track - come on Nixy!!!!
    B = porridge
L = veg gloop *coffs* I mean HM veg and bean stew
D = HM lamb burgers and salad and veg

Doing my best to keep my carb content down and up my protein/veg ratio

Bought a kabini yesterday (Nix speak for a bikini) because the plan was to buy the size I am aiming for and diet into it - woahhhhh, bad bad bad idea. So it's going back and I am gonna buy one right before I go away - I have old ones at home I can check to see how I look in and then the new one can be a treat for doing so well - determined the 17lb is going!

Have a belting day everyone xx

Hi all, sorry I was missing yesterday - sorry missed being able to support you on your bad day frogga mate. Glad you're back again - we all miss you when you're not around you know ;)

Food yesterday was surprisingly good - as I was off all day. Dropped oh at work ran round getting heavy shopping in case car failed mot ;) Had jam and toast for breakfast, scrambled egg and ham rolls for lunch and chilli wraps for tea - only bad bit was 2 small WW almond slices - which weren't that great and I shan't bother buying any more ;) Was going to have extra toast and jam in the evening but got busy making hummous (or attempting) instead of eating. Made half with red pepper (thanks for the recipe) and half with olives. But couldn't seem to get it smooth enough so it's a bit lumpy  maybe it's my food processor - maybe I should have blended it  (but hate cleaning the blender bit).

    Today:
Breakfast jam on toast (got a real thing about cherry jam at the moment)
Snacks - a pack of baked crisps
Lunch - wholemeal rolls with ham, nummous and rocket.
Tea - Smoke pork sausage with either smash or roasted sweet potatoes and veg (depends if OH can wait half an hour or not :p)

OH is trying to be extra good this month so I guess that means I should join in with the Marvelous May as he's told me off for not helping him as I offered him toast and jam in the evening :o

Got a tin of cherries - anyone got a low fat recipe? Is a clafoutis type thingy better than sponge cake (guessing it must be)?

    Afternoon all!

Still sticking to plan even though some [strike]souless torturer[/strike] kind person brought in apple pies and croissants to work

    B: Muesli and skimmed milk
    S: Plum
L: HM veg soup with 50g roasted chicken thrown in
    D: Scouse with beetroot

I''m hoping I won't be in work late tonight but the signs aren't good. I always end up raiding the vending machine if I am stuck here late :o

There is a better site showing all the different kinds of stuff you can grow with an Aerogarden and it is cheaper than Lakeland. Here it is:
    http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/aerogrow-garden-and-seeds/index.html

I sooooooo want one now - they look really cool too! I reckon a black one would look nice in my kitchen for herbs and stuff and a white one would be great in the conservatory for peppers and tomatoes. Oh dear not very moneysaving then:o

AARRGGHH, i really really want one now!!! oh well, fingers crossed from christmas!! :D
Please be nice to all moneysavers!

Rockie and Saversarn - well done on STS.:D
    Hi Frogga.

Today has been positive so far - cereal and banana for brekkie, cheese and cue sandwich, pineapple and yog for lunch, probably left over chicken and veg pasta bake for tea. Have had a yummylicious individual carrot cake this morning - Sainbugs TTD, highly recommended and portion control ;)

Hope the sun is out where you lovely lot are

    Hello Peoples.....

Well Done Losers & STS, haven't seen any Glorias yet but figure I could be in that catagory:o

And I just wanted to say Frogga--from one greenie to another--that I know exactly how you feel:o That's why I keep coming here, in the hopes that some of the wisdom shared by others will miraculously seep thru the computor monitor & multiply in my blood stream to transform me into a glowing goddess of grump:D What say you & I do our own Marvellous in May by forgetting weights & measures & just concentrate on getting our heads sorted?

    Woohooo ladies and gents

Thought i would come and share the recipe i have just tried :D

    DATE N PINEAPPLE BARS
    Makes 30
    pre-heat oven to 190
    line a 10" x 12" baking tin -mine ended up in an 9"X11" :p
    1. 200g chopped dates
    2. 450g pineapple pieces (in juice)
    3. 250g SR flour -sifted
    4. 100g wholewheat flour - sifted -i just used extra SR flour
    5. 250g rolled oats - i used oats with nuts n sultanas added
    6. 75g brown sugar -i used soft dark brown
    7. 90g shredded coconut
    8. 60g butter -melted - i used some soya spread i had in (saving butter for my toast :D )
    9. 2 medium eggs
    • Place dates and pineapple and juice in a pan and bring to the boil over a medium heat
    • drain of 150g juice - i struggled to get 150g
    • add all other ingredients and mix well -adding some of the juice of to stiff -i ended up putting all the juice back in :rotfl:
    • transfer to tin and bake for about 20mins or until golden
    • cool and cut...
Hope that someone can make use of that ;) ...
I have worked out the cals and they are approx 140cals per piece :T now they aren't huge bits but god they are substantial.. thought they were rather good for us all with them having such a small amount of added fat/sugar and having lots of slow releasing energy :j oohh don't forget to alter the cals according to the fat you use my fat was 300cals -just so you can adjust..
I have tried one..well you have to don't you :p and im that stuffed i haven't had any lunch :rotfl:

Well done on the loss rose :T

right will get off and get something done :D

    Afternoon Peeps,

Still OK at the mo! :D Feel quite possitive at the mo but I wont get too cocky as I know I can fall off anytime so I have to concentrate on what I'm doing and hold on tight.

I'm like one of those kids showing off on the back of the wagon, when all the sensible ones are sitting carefully looking at me thinking " there's gonna be an accident in a minute"

Well, I fell off, and hurt myself, but all my mates held out a hand and pulled me back up AGAIN so I'll be careful from now on I promise :D

I like the sound of those bars MrsM. I dont like coconut and I cant put eggs in ~ will that matter? Tell me how to adapt it for fussy farts please ;)

Bigmumma ~ I think that's a good idea, gotta just get my head straight. I am TRYING!

HI Kentish Maid , thanks for your pm :T HI Newlywed :hello: and suzid :hello:and pebbles :hello: floyd:hello: bobadog:hello:skintmum :hello: and Rose xx

Morning Nixy :A Hope your Marvelous in May start was better than mine

Hi Saversarn , well done on STS , I wish I had more control!

Hi RS ~ Oh , the secret eating! and yes, I too have ordered loads of food pretending it's for loads of others. I once bought a whole shopping basket of binge food in Sainsbugs and the lady on the till said " oo are you having a party?" and of course I said yes, then the Tadpoles said " oooooooo are we? when? Who's comming? I nearly died :o

HI Purpleivy , Glad you approve of my food choices :j nice to know I can get somethings right ;)

Well done on STS Rocks :A

HI cheerfulness ~ I know you are right, but I think I dont concentrate hard enough on being good. I dont want to cope any other way, sometimes I really WANT to binge, until after

Special hellos to Tappy and Meanmaire :A

Hope to heavens I didn't forget anyone, so if I did ................................too bad :rotfl: not really ....................:A

Off to make my afternoon snack of oatcakes and paenut butter, then I'll get started on the chilli for tea.

As Gran says , we will overcome
