I worked as a housekeeper/aupair/cook with families near Duesseldorf, I used to go to the Forces cinema!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hi,
Popped back on to answer some posts.
MrsM, maybe it's just me but I thought the Bielefeld Conspiracy was well knownmaybe just that I have good German friends and a friend that lived there for years. I think there was some kind of scam that it was a made up town and did not really exist... or maybe my marbles have totally gone:o
And of course you can be my pedomter nerd buddy too, although i will never match your total- today after work at 17.30 my reading was only 1500 so I ditched the dvd I was going to do and put on warm togs gloves and went for a walk it now says 8000 and I feel great(got a drippy nose and tingly cheeks... upper and lower;)) Rockie that does not let you off the hook once you are back to fight fitness I expect a daily post of your total. And don't listen to MrsM leftover cider has medicinal properties:p
Walking really helps me lose weight and feel good:A

i think i'm definitely gonna get me a pedometer, we should do some sort of pedometer challenge between all of us, get ourselves motivated with a bit of competition!

Hi All,
Thanks for all the good wishes about the weather - they worked as we had sunshine and warmth all day for our visitors last day. We had a quick trip into Gibraltar for a bit of shopping and an icecream and then visited a crocodile park on our way to the airport. We saw some massive crocodiles and also held a tiny one. The baby was fascinated and was touching it with such a look of concentration on his face. The baby crocodile had its jaw taped up so was quite safe.
The day played havoc with food intake and I had a terrible headache when we finally got home - probably through not drinking enough. However, I've had a couple of strong pills and an hour in bed and am feeling much better.
Breakfast: Cereal with skimmed milk. Pineapple juice.
Lunch: Banana
Tea: Chicken and tomato baguette (homemade and prepared to forestall requests for expensive food at the airport). Banana
Snack: Icecream
OH's daughter and son seemed to really enjoy themselves and want to come again if possible in April so looks like the homemade baby food and babysitting service went down well.
I am going to look out for a pedometer too I think as I'd be fascinated to know how many steps one of our walks takes. We must get back into our regular walks on the beach now the weather seems to be improving back to normal.
Hope you all have a good evening and resist temptation in whatever shape or form. Early morning for us as the builders are arriving to move a washing machine into the bathroom and improve the kitchen. It also involves moving a toilet and removing a bidet so will probably be quite disruptive. Hopefully, we can go out for a nice long walk and leave all the noise behind.

Managed to avoid evening sweet snacks today, so really pleased. I do seem to be on a level at the moment. Things not perfect, but unplanned snacking between meals hasn't been happening.
As far as the Glycemic load thing is concerned, I haven't felt highs and lows too much in the day. Maybe it's working. Even if I'm not losing weight (too soon to tell) I fell better. Have been avoiding wheat quite a lot as it has High GL, interestingly I feel better without it. It's not easy to avoid really, I can do breakfast and lunch without the high GL stuff, but it's harder to sort for dinner and eating with the family. I'm trying not to make a big thing about it. They don't expect me necessarily to eat Pizza, as I often have something diffferent when I make that for them, but potatoes, pasta and some other things I am trying to avoid for now. Ahh welll"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

M0neysav3r wrote: »Taplady - Yummy Leek & Pot soup - How do you do that? Would you mind sharing? I have tried so many different WW zero point soups but tbh they're gross! I know the spuds aren't point free but it won't be much and I'd have thought more filling than half a tin of WW soup that I have been having.
Just bung it in a saucepan and cook till veg is done then blitz with the stick blender - i like mine really thick so take out a bit of the liquid. Its also nice with a bit of grated cheese mixed in at the end.
MRSM - I never thought of freezing the choccies - I will pinch all the best ones and freeze them:T
I have a pedometer somewhere that i will dig out - been a while since I used it but it will be interesting to see how many steps we all do.
Frogga and cheerfulness :hello:
off for a browse before bed, got to get DH up at 3.30 again in the morning:eek:Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Back again. Had my HM curry for tea, used up lots of leftovers from sis making her BF curry for valentines day last week. Mum brought us an egg custard tart each on the way home so had that a little while ago and throughly enjoyed it
