Recovering Spendaholic :T :T
I think that is brilliant.. i dumped all the stuff "i should eat"..heck i had been eating it for donkeys years and still ended up at 21st  .... so i should have figured sooner it wasn't working
Now its what i want when i want it -just in sensible portions..but they are so much more satisfying that i don't need loads at once (which isn't to say i don't sometimes "want loads")I just have to reason with myself that im wanting IT because its nice and not because im hungry
An added bonus is that the original versions of mayo etc are usually far cheaper than the "diet ones" :T and you are going to be eating less of them too :T ..so its a super saving bonus:j-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Not sure what the problem is today but feel a need to eat all day...to-day I have eaten:
4 sticks rhubarb stewed with a little sugar;
small serving of porridge with honey and milk, coffee;
4 slices bread and butter...whats that about??
Dinner is ham, cabbage and potatoes.
Congratulations to all that losers...not looking good for weigh in to-morrow...then weekend away!

It's ok MeanM, I'm having a bit of one of those as well - had porridge - good girl, had veg glop - good girl........................then had weightwatchers tortillas, 2 rice cakes and a KitKat! The calories from my snacking meant I might as well have had a nice satisfying sammich! Tsk, norty Nixy - again. Everyone is so right about the diet products being a waste of time and not satisfying you.......*wanders off determined to try harder*Comps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%

I agree, not looked back since I went back to real butter/ sugar / fat tonic etc. Can't tell you how much pleasure I can get out of one slice of bread with real butter:rolleyes: I'm sure the diet stuff makes you pig out thus ensuring that they always have a market;)
Two hours until my WI:eek: - I don't feel that I've lost, which by MRSM's reckoning means I must have:rotfl:0 -
Harrow Weedul Peeps....
Not too bad thus far--bunged extra seeds into the granary mix from Lidl & it tasted better than last time, but I'll have to find another flour methinx. I do like my bitsy-bread, but then if I don't have it in the house----I can't eat it. BUT surely it has to be good for meoh frrrrmp
wuddiya do!
I'm in for the Marvellous May. I've got till Monday to fit into smaller nikky-nakky-noos:rolleyes: possibly do-able.......so I'll go for a smaller size skirt. Saying that, I haven't taken up those smaller trousers yet so must try to do those this weekend to show offFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Hi All,
Well done Suzid and Sunnyday on the losses and Mrs M and Nikki on getting into those jeans. Hope I haven't forgotten anyone else.
I've had another busy day - such a contrast to the days in Spain. I had my walk around the block again to the shops - 35 minute round trip rather than the 10 I could do it in. I also went to the opticians this morning and hairdressers this afternoon.
WI tomorrow and I am crossing my fingers I will have lost 2lbs and be down to 11 stone again. My Marvellous in May challenge will be to try to get down to 10st 7lbs by the end of it. It's my 50th birthday in 2 weeks time so I am asking for lots of vouchers from people who ask what I want so I can go out and treat myself to a load of new clothes.
B: Muesli with raisins and skimmed milk. Cranberry and raspberry juice.
L: Bowl of tomato soup. Slice of wholemeal toast with last of the smoked salmon pate. Raspberry yoghurt with a couple of spoonfuls of stewed rhubarb stirred in.
Snack: Chocolate biscuit.Grilled fish, sweet potato, green beans, mushrooms.

T - Wrap with omelette and red onions in, huge saide salad - yummy, although i may knock out anyone who comes nears me with my onion breath!!!
i agree with everyone on how much better i feel since eating full fat stuff, i enjoy my meals so much more now, but it took ages for me to switch back but i honestly do not crave anything now! only thing i cant go back to is semi skimmed milk, i have got so used to skimmed that it feels like i have something oily in my tea now
All the normal stuff has none of the nasties in either which can only be good. I havent felt this well in years either!

Afternoon everyone,
a huge well done for suzid, MrsM & Nikki :j :j :j :j
and welcome xredwebx
Well i woke at 6am and have just woken again at 5pm
if any of you were wondering i haven`t slept the whole day away - just part of it. Actually i feel better than i have for almost a week so i may be on the mend properly this time, how come there are so many bloomin nasty viruses around lately? i never seem to catch them but this one has really got it`s awful claws in.
Recovering - i hope you`re stomach is feeling better now, horrible ain`t it? bread always used to do this to me and i`d feel bloated to the point that my tum felt like a huge achy space hopper and it would be painful for ages, i`m fine with the hm stuff tho - probably cos there`s no carp in it. *runs into kitchen and hugs panny*
xRedwebx - i`ve been trying with the ciggies again too, a few weeks ago i declared i was kicking the habit but i`ve not been true to my word.
I`ve cut down massively and at the mo there`s just one left in the packet but i have a shiny new box of patches just waiting to be used. I`ll be having the lone cig shortly then i shall be evil for the rest of the day and then use a patch from tomorrow.:D
Today BF was 2 slices pate on toast
Dinner One of MrsM`s tortillas with peppers onions soft cheese and half a meatball inside. Yogurt & fruit.
Tea will be mixed salad, a chicken drumstick and a small piece of chicken terrine that dosen`t actually have any chicken inside cos i forgot to add it when i made the recipe:rolleyes: never mind cos it`s lovely but i`ll bet there are loads of calories in it.
If i need a snack there are some hobnobs in the kitchen that i got out of the freezer.
Have a good evening everyone.

Mrs M - do you, or did you at the start, do the Paul McKenna CD's?
I am really tempted to get them, particularly the binge avoidance one. You can get the QVC set which has all the CDs in it, off ebay quite cheaply so I thought I might give it a go to help me with my ditch the diet food approach. I would be interested in anyone's thoughts on Paul McKenna and also on hypnosis. I am toying with the idea of getting a couple of sessions of hypnotherapy as in this month's Good Housekeeping magazine they reckon it can really help, providing you go to a registered hypnotherapist.
I have another item to add to my list of things not to eat - Weight Watchers parmesan and pesto pasta sauce. I just made up some bologniase for DD's tea and used Sainsburys BGTY mince and a jar of this stuff. It wasn't at all nice - I had to add oxo's and tomato ketchup just to make it palatable enough for DD2 to eat. I am not having it though - I will freeze the leftovers and add them in a bit at a time to "proper" bolognaise.
I got a load of Whoopsed tomatoes on the vine in Tescos the other day and have had them in the oven with some "Good with everything" on them, making them into hm sundried tomatoes. Has anyone tried that Good with everything stuff? It is sea salt and herbs and lavender and pepper and it tastes amazing on anything. I am totally addicted to it and think I am probably having less salt overall as I use it instead of table salt on my food for most things. You get it in Lakeland and Waitrose I think.
Stll haven't decided on what to have for tea because of my iffy stomach. It's amazing though - today I have eaten much less than normal and no fat or sugar and I feel so much lighter tonight - I have done loads of wee wees today too so my legs don't look as bloated. I think I am going to try and go on cutting right back on sugar fat and bread.
I now have a little list of Marvellous in May treats for each week that I don't binge and stick to a healthy regime -
a manicure
a pedicure
a rose de france silver ring off QVC
Jamie at Home book - although I thought it was going to have all the lovely hand written stuff in like the series but I don't think it does.
The thing I REALLY want though is one of those gadgets that you grow salad in for the kitchen - it is about £100 but it grows salad and tomatoes just in water. I soooo want one because I CANNOT grow stuff outside because of the pests, cats and slugs.Jane
