And just as I thought we were becoming friends Frogga
Morning all - still catching up on the thread (it moves so fast). Yesterday was pants in the end - met a friend for dinner last night and we had a carvery - so huge roast dinner followed by apple and rhubarb crumble and custard (scrummy). Needless to say I rolled out of there :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Back to normal today - need to shift a pound or two for next week.
Will be back later.

Hi all and happy 1st May *whistles the International*
I think we are ALL marvelous in May, like in every month:
Jubilant in January
Fabulous in February
Magnificent in March
Amazing in April
Marvelous in May
Just great in June
Joyous in July
Alluring in August
Supercharged in September
Old-style-beauties in October
Naughty (but Nice) in November
Definitely the Best in December
LAst night I was none of the above though, my slimming plans went bust when I found myself alone at home for the whole evening and got craving a curry.
But I did some damage limitation by calling my trusted curry house (who know me by first name LOL) and asked them to do me some curries without oil! and they DID! I had Sag (spinach), chick pea and potato, lentil dal (tarka) and cheese and peas (motor paneer) all virtually fat free - at least the fat was not visible, and I genuinely think there was very little of it. Which means it was almost syn free (SW-wise). I am sure there must have been some hidden fat but in no way the amount that there would have been if I hadn't asked nicely to keep it low fat.
Feeling a bit down today though, still craving the food that I should not eat, I must be premenstrual, I am not sure...
Breakfast: bowl of leftover brown rice with soy sauce
No idea about lunch or dinner, got to think of something satisfying and nice but not too lardy.
Love to all

Had a large glass of wine last night, but it was delicious! x0 -
Hello folks :hello:
Weigh in tonight  According to my scales this morning I've stayed the same so .........if I lose a pound I'll get my half stone award, earrings, necklace, watch, shoes........what else can I remove :rotfl:
A slice of bread and a handful of sultanas leapt into my mouth last night, I don't know why but I always get the munchies the night before WI.....self-sabotage???
Today I've had boiled eggs and soldiers, I've got potato salad and fruit for lunch.
Tea will be decided when I get in, something quick as I've got to do more painting tonight, I'm determined to finish this bl**dy decorating this weekend:eek:
Belly dancing at lunchtime, I need to escape though, might have to sneak out the back door.......boss is away and I'm really busy today, the phone and the door haven't stopped this morning
See you later folks :A0 -
Hello ladies
Haven't posted on here for a while but I've been watching. I had to come in and tell you all that I've taken another step today to thanks to my weightloss - I've bought size 18 jeans from George for the first time in about 4 years if ever :j:j:j
I also have an Asda shop due to be delivered this evening, and since my ex moved out I was able to put whatever I wanted in it so its got wholemeal bread (and wholemeal finger rolls for DD's lunch), wholemeal pasta, tinned fruit in JUICE, pure orange juice and lots of healthier options. I'm also working on cutting down portion sizes, I'm getting there slowly but after being used to cooking for basically 4 people (ex had a huge appetite unless it was pasta and easily ate double portions and snacked alot but never put any weight on:mad: ! ) its a big challenge that I'm tackling slowly, in baby steps.
My plan is to make smaller main course meals and then have some pudding to make me feel more satisfied.
Oh and I'm going to start cleaning my teeth after my evening meal in the hopes it will discourage me snacking
Thanks ladies, you're all an inspiration! :T:T:TCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Hello all,
I would love to be Marvelous in May (or any other month come to that) so please count me in :hello: . I'm in for a mega dog walking day today as DH still feeling very rough and couldn't drag himself out of bed to take the hell hound for his morning gallop. The coughing going on last night was horrendous until the Xtra drousy cough med kicked in. He probably gulped the stuff down hence being comatose this morning:D . Not seen my other invalid this morning, he who moaned all day yesterday, poor lamb. Very chilly today while out with my great protector and friend (1st dog in the pack) not at all May like.
MRSM thanks for pea advise, I think I'll start mine off in tubs too, as there is a population of pigeons ready to pounce on anything edable just over the back to us. Though I think last year the slugs might have been to blame as only 1 thats ONE, single, solitary, uno, pea poked its head above ground out of a row 15 foot long  .
Good grief you lot don't half like some awful music (stands back and waits for battering). Give me Pink Floyd, Guns 'n Roses, Bon Jovi, Meatloaf and many other rock bands any day. David Gilmore's wailing guitar sends me to heaven - Comfortable Numb - brilliant.
Welcome xredwebx, you'll find alot of peeps are stearing clear of carbs on here and many are veggies with good tasty recipies to share. Good luck.
Belated happy birthday toniwoty :T .
Well I can't put it off any longer better go and vote and take her ancientness for her walk (2nd in pack) then the hell hound (3rd in pack) before lunch, oh joy.
Hope you're all feeling MARVELOUS today.
Hugs,

Have you trimmed your nails, cleaned them, toes as well, shave legs and anywhere else you can, exfoliate and then make sure you dry off really well after your shower, hair to be dry as well. Hello one and all
Just got back from collecting those containers off that lovely army wife/MSE lady...well hubby collected them - i got him to drop me off at the NAFFI as i couldn't face dragging him round with me.... so i will be out filling them soon..need heaps more compost tomorrow..as i also got 2 black dustbins... more potatoes going in there :j
Meals today :-- brekkie -had a cherry yogurt and a nana
- lunch -we are having jacket potato and luxury cauli/broc cheese
- dinner -just got some really nice sliced beef "whoopsed" from the naffi -so will have that with salad and some hm bread for hubby
- snacks-fruit or yogurts
im amazed because i have a high waist and so these actually fasten around the widest point of my belly  so i tootled out this morning in them and a top..NO COAT  ...and so i felt really summery :T
Tomorrow wil be my 1st weigh in for the may challenge so if we have 4 weeks i will go for 5lbs as that will take me to 14st 7lbs -i like nice even numbers
Suzid... i have met a partner in crime... i adore bon jovi (ritchie sambora  ), whitesnake, def leppard, Alice cooper, guns n roses, poisson,
Comfortably numb ...i love that songoh and i also adore ozzy -but not when he was with black sabbath...ohhh and coverdale paige
..... guess deep down i will always be a rock girl.... in fact 1 thing i always wanted but was too big for when i was in my teens/twenties was a pair of thigh high boots...not kinky boots -honest...and i still maintain that when i get to target im having a pair..even if i only get to wear them once :rotfl:
In fact im amazed the neighbours aren't sick of me... its either bon jovi or def leppard on the CD when im in..i don't have it loud ..well not THAT loud
and im sorry folks but i always though morrisey wanted a good scrub too
My peas are happy little chaps at the moment...i started by putting 4 into a peat pot and then when they are about 2" tall i plop them into the troughs... i was going to put the troughs along a fence on the grass..but i think the temptation might be too much for the slugs so im going to stand them on the patio in a square and then i can throw netting over the whole lot to stop the flying rats tooand sprinkle salt around if the slugs start
my asparagus peas and kidney beans that went out yesterday made it through the night fine :T im so easily excited
Not sure how tomorrows weigh in will go as i feel lighter (which i don't normally) but knowing me -that will mean i have gained :rotfl: .. still anything off is ok..pinkies crossed
right i had better go and add the may challenge to my signature
hope everyone has a great day..and keep up the good work..
