must have overlapped our posts... rockie

I know what you mean..my sis is doing the "pah im fine lets just get on with it ...ITS nothing".... but we know it anything BUT nothing its major... i understand that it is her way of dealing with stuff... but she just won't stay in the house when she is supposed too and won't give her body a chance to gather its strength  .....
Being stuck out here doesn't help..but there is nothing i can do to help if im back home either..so hopefully her scan will come back ok...not that she will tell us if it doesn't

    Hi All.

It's been another busy day here. I did fit in a walk 'around the block' this morning so have had half an hour's exercise. After lunch I went into my old school to do an hour's voluntary work (it keeps my CRB clearance valid) and then went off with OH to do the supermarket shop. We managed to fill the trolley at Lidl's and only spend £60 which is pretty good.

A friend called round straight after us getting in and has only just gone so I opted out of cooking tea and had a bowl of Sugar Puffs instead. I never buy them but my sister stayed in my flat last week and had left half a box behind. I was amazed how light they were and how many I could fit in the bowl for a serving but found them far too sweet to want to repeat the experience.

B: Muesli with raisins and skimmed milk. Cranberry and raspberry juice.
L: Half a ciabatta with cream cheese and smoked salmon (left over from lunch yesterday). Bowl of tomato soup.
    Snack: 2 bananas.
    T: Bowl of Sugar Puffs.

Well done all the losers, there are some very inspiring losses.

  • Count me in on the marvellous in May thing too, although in my case it'll get off to a shaky start (colleague's birthday tomorrow which means cake, italian meal Saturday and possible bbq on Sunday depending on the weather).... so I'll be doing Marvellous for Most of May, Rubbish for the Rest!:D

    Happy birthday Toniwoty!

Orpheus, you just reminded me to spill on how I got my username.... so glad there was no speculation on here!!! I was having a bad day, felt like a right old droopydrawers, and that's it really!

Well done to the latest losers - Superspam and Suzid:T (and anyone else I may have missed, memory like a sieve!)

Hey Droopy, I am sure that any speculation was based on the premise that you had lost so much weight, your drawers got - well - droopy!:T:rotfl:

Another one of those fiendish banana muffins slipped into my mouth again tonight - and after I avoided the chocolate at the supermarket too - sneaky little blighter:mad:

Oh well, I wasn't hungry after lunch today so missed my afternoon snack of an apple, some grapes and half an avocado so that'll cancel at least two mouthfuls of muffin out, and it was a small muffin - more of a fairy cake size really....

And I went for a 25 min run:jReally enjoying running again, I'm finding it helps me chill out after a long day at work.

Congrats to all losers :T and Happy birthday Toniwoty!:bdaycake:

I've been working at the computer for the last two hours and have chewed all my nail varnish off - does that count as a snack?

Congratulations to all losers and to all who would be losers.
Frogga...won't join your marvellous in May campaign, if you don't mind...going to OH's relatives in Kerry from Friday until Monday which would be a bad start and off to Oz on 22nd so the end won't be wonderful either, so won't torment myself in the meantime.

It appears that my system has decided to do a little work the last couple of days, so may manage to stay the same on Friday...to-day I have eaten

    Ham salad sandwich, cup coffee;

lamb chop, lots of fried onions, marrowfat peas, mashed potato...needed something sweet so had jam sandwich as pudding! Fruit is off my want to eat to-day for some reason.

    Night all

Hello you lovely people , and MrsM :D

I've had a thought about those of us who struggle and need a kick, that's you Jacks and Nixy and possibly RS:

Tomorrow is a BRILLIANT day for starting again. For a start it's the 1st May. The 1st is always a good day to start a fresh. Also it's a Thursday which is a FAB day to start a being good. It's only a few days before the weekend where you can chill out and relax and being good is easier when you're not at work.

SO who wants to join in with me by starting to be good again tomorrow? We were Fab in Feb, lets be Marvelous in May :D Anyone?

I'm in for the Marvellous in May thing! I bought a seedy bread loaf in Sainsburys today and was planning to have one slice at tea tonight - nooooooo that didn't go well - I ended up having three slices and about an hour later I remembered why I only ever bought a Sainsburys bakery seedy loaf once before. I love it but it doesn't like me! I am now all bloated with crampy windy pains - horrible. I think it is the seeds - they don't agree with me. I bought seedy baguettes too and had one of those for lunch. Oh well DD1 loves seedy bread so she will have to eat the rest.

I had my sausage cassoulet for dinner, but was rather full up after the seedy bread disaster so didn't finish it all, but what I did eat was lovely. I had a baked sweet potato with it but thought that was rank - the potato didn't go at all crispy despite being in the oven for an hour or more and the inside was all wet and mushy - yuk!

I have decided that for each week that I manage to keep to a healthy regime and do some exercise I will reward myself with a little treat. The first thing I am going to get is a pedicure.

Anyway, hope you all had a good evening.
