  • Hello everyone and welcome back Frogga - I know exactly what you mean about not wanting to post when you have been mad eating - but I have found that even if I have slipped up, just coming on and posting helps to stop the rot IYKWIM. I also think that not focusing on how much weight needs to be shifted in total is the way to go. I have 10 stone odd to lose and have been trying to put it to the back of my mind and just getting through week to week, and I think it is helping a bit.

Right - meals for today are:
    Breakfast - milky decaff coffee
Lunch - leftover roast chicken, leftover brocolli, carrots and green beans, Sainsburys BGTY gravy and a few oven chips, followed by some tinned fruit in juice.
Dinner - not decided yet but might have tuna and prawn salad.

Hope you are all having a nice Sunday!

    Good Moaning all,

Mr & Mrs Cheerfulness CONGRATULATIONS, FANTASTIC :j :j :j . Been asking my DH to get weighed all morning and he's been avoiding the scales for the last fortnight, I'm getting suspicious  , what's he been eating at work????????????? Also to all you other losers WELL DONE, you clever people.

Frogga I don't really know you, being quite new myself, but as a custodian of a pond full of tadpoles, it's lovely to hear from you. No one judges you because you put weight back on, otherwise this thread wouldn't exist we'd all be lurking in the shadows. Been there all to often.

Talking of ponds, caught DS having a peer into ours yesterday to look at the babes (so unlike him, so uncool). They're all over the bottom of the shallower levels and getting bigger :T , so exciting watching them grow.

New greenhousey thingy now full of seedlings and can now see out of the kitchen window, well could if it was cleaner :rotfl: . Have started off peppers on shelf in kitchen, and spring onions and lettuce in growbags in old mini greenhouse. Today DH and I were supposed to be putting up chicken wire, as I'd cut back the hedge yesterday to the picket fencing running along the bottom. Youngest dog almost caught another cat on Friday so we need to sort this out quickly, if it ever stops raining. Dread the thought of having to tell the neighbour that one of her cats got shredded by my dog   . Why oh why do the blooming things still come through, they didn't last year. The garden must have enough dog scent (3 of them) to put them off you'd think. Either adrenalin junkies, macho moggies, totally arrogant, or potty, no idea which.

Food wise yesterday had usual brekky, god I'm boring. Lunch was 1/2 tin of baked beans on slice of last weeks HM breezeblock (from freezer not ancient relic) toast with butter:p followed by yogurt. Tea was salad and GFY lasagna. Snack a date and a fig.

Today will be boiled egg with salad and slice of bread, plus yogurt for pud. Tea I've no idea, waiting for inspiration! Could be a long wait:p .

Hope you all have a great day. Bye for now.

  • Afternoon all - and welcome back Frogga

This weekend has been pants - ice cream, biscuits, bacon rolls (nomnomnom), blah, blah - the list goes on. I hate weekends when weight watching, they are soooo hard!!

But - tomorrow is another day. Off to mums later today as it is her birthday, I have brought cake for her. Then shephards pie for tea with lots of veggies.

Got to dash as loads to do. Enjoy the rest of Sunday ladies :D

Afternoon everyone, Congrats to Cheerfullness - what a good loss!
Well we went out last night for our delayed Birthday meal and i really enjoyed it. We went to our local rib restaurant and i ate loads. Towards the end of the night i started feeling a bit ropey so we were back home for 11 and i went straight to bed.
This morning i woke up feeling terrible and now i have the awful cold which has been doing the rounds and feel weak and congested.
So far i`ve managed to eat some toast but thats all, i feel a bit hungry and there`s an apple crumble thawing in the kitchen for later but at the moment i don`t want to eat anything at all.
I hopped on the scales first thing and have only put on a pound so thats acceptable considering what i ate.
I think i`ll probably have some soup later and spend the day in hibernation, i had promised myself that i would start to excersise today but i know i`m not going to with the way i feel, i`ll have to muster some strength to take the houndies for a walk soon and as it has stopped raining that will have to be sooner rather than later.
Sorry to have a moan but i really feel carp and was looking forward to having a really motivated day today.
Frogga, don`t beat yourself up about the weight gain, last year i did exactly the same, i lost a stone and a half and all of it went back on in a very short amount of time and i didn`t want to talk to anyone, soon i hope to have lost it again but i want to lose it slowly so there`s more chance of it staying off.
I know exactly what one of my problems is, once i`ve lost so much i tell myself i`ve done that and once i feel i`ve suceeded i give up and slip back into my old ways, not this time, i want to lose 2 stone before September and because i`m giving myself 5 months to do it i think it`s achieveable as it`s less than 2lb a week.
    Fingers crossed for everyone.

Oooooohhhh Deeeeaaaarrr:( ........uuummm....can we not talk about yesterday

I've got my first ever ciabatta loaf in the BM--I've no idea what it's supposed to taste like anyways:confused: so it'll be interesting--cuz there's a weeny bit of chicken, some mushrooms & peppers to use up so I thought I'd do a pasta bake.

Me thinks I need to do some menu planning, but I'm having difficulties organising which leg goes into which trouser atm:eek: My brain is just not functioning on any sort of level & it's getting me down, putting it politely:o If only I was the sort of person who cannot eat when under stress, I'd have fallen thru a crack in the pavement by now;) but sadly I head for anything not nailed down.

I'm still after buying a smaller size of pants a week tomorrow tho; I am NOT going to give up this time:cool:

    Hi All,

Welcome back Frogga and well done losers, especially Cheerfulness.

Well, we are back in the UK again. Where is the sunshine? Actually, it is quite warm here and I went for a walk to the shops this morning without a jacket its just not quite the same!!

After using various scales whilst I've been away I got reweighed on my own bathroom scales this morning and was disappointed to see I weigh 11st 2lbs - after being convinced I was now under 11st. So in 4 months of trying I have only lost 6lbs (Jan 1st weight was 11stone 8lbs). Very disappointing. So for the BH target I want the scales to read 10st something.

Mind you I didn't help myself yesterday. I took a sandwich for lunch on the plane so started off well but of course you can't take drinks and I ended up buying Coke to drink. We had a really smooth journey, but ended up having an hour and a half to kill at King's Cross as we'd prebooked specific train tickets. We couldn't change them without paying a fortune even though we could have caught an earlier train so ended up snacking. I saw a massive Galaxy bar on special offer so bought it as the prices for normal ones were so high - and of course by bedtime it had all gone!!

Still, I shall have to cut down now as we did some food shopping this morning and even though we knew prices had gone up were horrified at how much everything cost. We are trying to buy as little as possible till we can get to Lidl's to stock up as our local supermarket is very expensive.

I've had a walk to the shops but nowhere near as much exercise as usual so shall have to go out for a walk later on through the woods. DS is coming round for a meal later which will be nice. It was lovely yesterday. He rang up to see if we were back within ten minutes of our arrival and was round to say hello within another 15. It was lovely to see him again.

B: Muesli with skimmed milk and raisins. Raspberry and cranberry juice.
L: One slice granary toast with smoked salmon pate. Banana.
D: Sausage yorkshires with green beans. Clementine.

    Afternoon all,

Frogga had sent you email before I read thread...good to see you back.

    Congratulations to losers.

Started day badly...had 2 rashers, 2 sausages, black and white pudding, mushrooms, fried potato, slice bread and butter, followed by 2 pancakes with sugar and lemon, coffee.

Dinner will be just veg I think, maybe roasted as we are having roast beef so veg and spuds can all go in oven too.

Forgot to answer op who asked what is buckling....smoked herring, I bought mine in a tin from Lidl, two generous fillets for €1.29, very tasty, would buy again.

Oh dear - DH 1lb on, but to be fair he's had a rotten cold this week and has been sucking Lockets like there's no tomorrow. No idea their cal count, plus to tired to get out into the gym. Could have been alot worse.
Fresh week starting now so come on beloved you can do it:T

NB that's our junior, trouble on paws. All ears and huge feet!

BigM Give me ciabatta with garlic butter and I'm anybodies!!! Absolutely love the stuff.
