  • Afternoon ladies
    Congrats to all losers and if you have gained - keep plodding on:o

    Had a grotty evening last night - when parking on the drive managed to scrape the back wheel arch of the car (our 'better' car) on the wall. Then had to tell OH!!:eek: Was more angry with myself than upset, it was so silly to do, the cat ran out in garden and caught my eye so I lost concentration for a split second and turned too tight. Oh well, as we said, it is only a car and I am not hurt. Will just be on short rations on the treat front for a while as I save up to get a paint job done!!!

    After the kerfuffle popped out to post my job application, popped in ASDA for a 'look round' - came out £27 lighter (but it was needed stuff - washing powder and W-Up Liquid - oh and beer for OH, not needed but nice). Then decided it was too late to cook jackets to go with quiche so went to chip shop -oops:D

    Tonight off to SIL to see family so gawd knows what will be eating - might need to up the exercise over the weekend to pay it off.

    Bye all

    Not having a good time with my M.E. Sleeping quite a lot because my body must need it. What it means is that I have stayed the same weight wise, which is good. It shows that my metabolism and food/hunger are in tune with each other.
    In other words I eat as much as my body needs.
    Shame that my body is too heavy for my height!!!!!:D:D:D

    Rockie4 I love you! I have antibiotic drops for my eyes, but I have done the cold tea thing and my eyes have stopped burning for the first time today. The funny thing is once you had said it, I remembered my nan saying it too, but I've never had conjunctivitis before, so I've never had to try it.

    Thank you :o
    I was told about it when my son was small - he had conjunctivitis a few times and it was a district nurse who told me to try it, it never fails!!

    unlike me who has just had a kitkat senses bar - OOPS!!

    Hi all!

    Had yummy Admirals Pie and beans last night, with salad (OH makes far nicer salads than I do!) plus 3 little biscuits with a late night cuppa. AND a small glass of rose' (small, honest!) - to try it.

    Today:
    B: 2 x wholemeal toast with red pepper cream cheese
    S: pear
    L: salad, carrot sticks with red pepper cream cheese dip, orange, low fat crisps
    D: HM spinach and ricotta pancake bake thing!

    Intend on having a glass or two of wine this evening as will be working from home, gah. x

    Afternoon all,

    Bit disappointed with to-day's weigh in...stayed the same...I think as the rotten scales seems to be wobbling all over bathroom floor...move to steady it and weight can be up or down by 2 or 3 lbs...

    Congratulations to all losers

    TO-day I have eaten:

    2 slices bread and butter;
    Tiny piece left over ham with spoonful of potato salad;
    bowl of soup...all gone now, must make more
    Dinner will be pork chops, turnip, peas and baked potatoes
    Snacks....apple, mandarins, dried fruit.

  • Hi All!

    Just wanted to pop in to say a huge congratulations to all losers! :beer: I have been completely mesmerised by this thread since it first started, and you have all been a true inspiration. :T :T :T

    I have managed to lose 1 st 7 lbs myself and have now reached my target weight. I have cut my portion sizes right down (used to be able to eat enough rice for 4 and didn't even realise :eek: :eek: what a pig!!) and try to cut out the chocolate, crisps etc and just allow myself a couple of treats a couple of times a week. I cook all my meals from scratch so know exactly what I am eating, so this has been a big help.

    I also discovered that my lovely dinner plates from NEXT were actually huuuuuge compared to the ones my mum used when I still lived at home. I actually use a side plate now for my main meal, as when I took it home and compared it to one of my mums dinner plates, they were the same size - shocking :eek:

    Alongside my weight loss, I have been trying to get OH to put weight on - he is 2st underweight (he is just one of these skinny people who can eat what he wants) and so far he has managed to put 5lb on and keep it on :T

    Just been reading your posts on Aspartame and will be checking everything in my cupboards when I get home from work, as I have always suffered from 'tummy troubles' so i'm wondering if this is linked in some way. I have just discovered my Wrigleys Extra Fusion chewing gum has it in as well :rolleyes:

    Keep up the good work anyway - this thread just shows what a bit of good fashion cooking can do!!

    Take care :)
