Morning ladies :hello:
Welcome Superspam, I wish I could run, I swim, walk, dance and cycle but somehow find it really difficult to run:j
Cranky - bathe your eyes with cold tea (no milk) or put used tea bags on and lie down, sounds stupid but it really does work.
After last nights gain I'm sort of back on track today. The plan is fully on track tomorrow as I really need to defrost the freezer so tonights tea will be a curry with pilau rice (freezer) with bahjis to start (freezer) and OH can have naan bread (freezer)
I've had boiled eggs for brekkie and have rice salad for lunch. We have another leaving do today but I'm going to try and avoid it if possible, she's not someone I get on with well and she's already collared me this morning offering chocolate biscuits
Right, I'm off to do some work  See you later folks :A0 -
Morning all
Haven't dared weigh in yet.....
Yesterday wasn't too bad, porridge for brekkie, jacket spud and cottage cheese for lunch. Then went out after work and only had cups of tea 'til I got home at about 9. Then it was HM egg fried rice (with leftover veg and rice), inexplicably followed by porridge
I think I was so hungry I wolfed i down and still thought I was hungryBut at least it was porridge and not something lardy
This morning had half a glass of milk. Well technically I had breakfast last night....
Lunch should be cheese on oatcakes with apple and pickle. I don't know about dinner yet, I'm running low on fresh ingredients and inspiration. I'm having one of those days where I don't fancy anything so usually end up eating junk
Someone earlier asked about healthier flapjacks - I'm still hunting the recipe! It's on a bit of paper somewhere...."She who asks is a fool once. She who never asks is a fool forever"
I'm a fool quite often0 -
Just a quick hi and wanted to say hello to all the new posters and well done to all the losers.... and that means the 1/4 lb losers too
hey I'm celebrating every single ounce that comes off my body that I don't have to keep lugging around with me anymore.
And especially to MRSMC because I get as excited about you weigh ins as I do my own....well it gives me hope.
Not sure what my food will be today...have some family stuff I need to sort out so not much time to think...but mum coming here again today so I think I'll defrost my two trouts I was planning for 'special' dinners as I think mum could do with a treat.
Catch up with you all later.MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

Morning All....I'm trying not to shout cuz I've got a 'head' on this morning:o All this week I've had to take a pain killer for headaches when I rarely have them, & when I do I don't medicate. As a side effect, I've not been as food savvy as I'd hoped:mad:
I guess I've not been drinking enough, or more than likely it's been too much tea in place of water. No2 offspring is a devil for tea so the kettle doesn't have time to cool when he's around;) I ate almost the entire contents of the kitchen yesterday where my attack of the nibbles was so strong:( Kept opening the fridge door to see what |I could scavenge, as if perchance the food-fairies had left something delish since the last time I looked.....why do we do that
There's a recipe on the April Grocery Challenge for a Savoury Bread & Butter Pud Toni, page 78 & post 1543. I'm supposed to be making up a card index of recipes so I make a note of ones to copy......trouble is there are so many I'd like to try that I haven't the time to copy them onto me little postcards:eek:Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Well done to Mrsm, cheerfulness, mysticnacho etc on your loses (and anyone I've missed)

B- Yoghurt and banana
L- Ham roll and orange
D- Not sure but in a nice little Greek place and will include wine;)
I am still doing my 10k steps a day and am sure that helps- certainly makes me feel better.:D0 -
Rockie4 I love you! I have antibiotic drops for my eyes, but I have done the cold tea thing and my eyes have stopped burning for the first time today. The funny thing is once you had said it, I remembered my nan saying it too, but I've never had conjunctivitis before, so I've never had to try it.0

Hi All
Well we have been busy already today putting last loads of washing on and packing away stuff to leave until next year. Using up food from fridge and ice box has worked well and we've just got enough left for today's meals, tomorrow's breakfast and sandwiches (presuming we are allowed to take food through security - I hardly think chicken rolls are a threat to airline safety!).
We should be able to spend the afternoon having a last walk on the beach, a drink at the bar and a lie in the sun. I am crossing my fingers that we won't be too cold when we get back as it is blissful here. Well done all the losers, including Mrs M, Saversarn, Mystic Nacho and anyone else who posts later.
B: Fruit and fibre, last of the raisins, skimmed milk. Pineapple juice.
L: HM carrot soup, clementine.Egg, chips and peas. Orange.
Have a good day everyone.

Haven't you all done well  :j :j !!!! All you losers and congrats pigpen on decluttering your wardrobe, I bet you feel much better not having to stare at things that don't fit. A big boost for your confidence. My wardrobe was stuffed with drab mens clothes to try and cover the flab
, guess what - it didn't work

As the window in the kitchen was half covered in humungus tomato plants I decided I'd better invest in a Greenhousy type thing. Joy of joys the very one I needed was 25% reduced:T so was able to get some new gardening gloves, plant ties and small pots too (had a £40 budget and came in just under so very happy:j ). Putting the thing up was interesting  , but all my babies are now safely installed in their new home waiting for the warmer weather to venture outside.
Was absolutely 'cream crackered' yesterday after all the dress shopping and fence repairing on a local beach with Countryside Services. My elderly dog had a lovely day out, being made a fuss of by my fellow workers. One thing I did notice was the fantastically healthy packed lunches all the countryside folk brought with them. Not a white slice of bread in sight. All wholemeal, salads, pasta, and strange concoctions I could only guess at. At least my tune, cucumber and watercress wholemeal butty didn't embaress me and I had a fig yogurt for pud.:A
Today me thinks I'll have a boiled egg and salad for lunch with rhubarb yogurt, and tea will be 2 locally made pork sausages with carrot and swede plus roast pots and onions, yummy!!!!!
Must dash as DS4 wants me to take him to town to buy yet another mouse (computer not furry). He's our very own rodent exterminator, god knows what he does to them. Had to use mine yesterday:eek: .
Good luck all, and if you can't be good be careful!"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life, gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are." Unknown0 -
I have done well.... well in some respects! I went upstairs to get dressed etc etc and decided to find all the stuff I need for the chorus comp tomorrow and start the fake tan process. then got side tracked...dumped some makeup I no longer wear. tidied some clothes away, made decisions about others. Thought it was time for cofffee break, so came down and realised I had completely forgotten about my breakfast, had only got as far as grapefruit! Have now had porridge and feel a bit more stable! Chest is not yet desired shade of brown, so will go up a bit and vac the space while it is still clear. then I'll have to think about lunch!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
