Hi all
Sorry I have been missing in action for a few days - not always kept to my SW regime, I'm afraid. Well here I am back anyway.
Welcome to all the new people, good for the losers and commiserations to the gainers (probably I am in this group too!).
Anway, here's today so far:
Breakfast: 2 small slices wm toast with baked beans
Lunch: large bowl of pasta with tomato and basil sauce (no oil, no cheese, very virtuous!), loads of grapes.
Snack (planned) yogurt, more fruit
Dinner not sure yet, as going to a sewing class with DD, prob. will have a couple of Ryvitas with hummus and then have a bowl of soup on my return.
Will update later, bye for now, w**k beckons!
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Hi all,
I have been doing reasonably well..... for me anywayI've lost 11lbs in ten weeks, and it's weigh in tonight. My usual pattern is to be really good until about Tuesday then destroy most of the good work Weds/Thur it's like I suffer from a self sabotage syndrome:mad:
B- croissant and yoghurt:o
L- Pear Orange & Tiger roll with butter and a banana in:rolleyes:
Snack cadburys twirl
D- the plan is salmon salad but we will see....
Maybe I'm secretly worried about becoming too darn gorgeous and not being able to deal with the unwanted attentions of the admirers I would undoubtedly attract like bees to honey:p0 -
Ho hum, today... is starting to be a struggle. I think maybe I should shift my @r$e and go push the vac round LOL!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

And it is still raining here in the Garden of England. Had thundery lightning this afternoon as well.
Hello all - quick pop in before going home (sshhh I'm at work!!)
Caterina - I have looked at SW before but to be honest, after so many years as a WW junkie I am trying to stay away from the clubs and get used to eating well on my own. Not to say I won't go back at some point!!
Last night I managed to polish off a couple more hob nobs before bed - well Desperate Housewives needs something with the cup of teaToday has been better:
B Muesli, fruit and greek yog
L Ham salad sandwich, Yog and pineapple
D (later) plans to be quiche and salad with either jacket or new pots
But - went to Sainsbugs at lunchtime and was lured by a box of TTD Carrot Cakes. It says they are 'small' so I brought some for me and the girlies in the office with coffee this afternoon. They were most delicious:T . And we agreed that as they were reduced in price they were calorie free:j
Am hoping to pop to Asda tonight for a mooch to see what is on offer. Need to go that way to drop in a job application.
Catch you all later

Sunnydays - was interested to try the yogurt making thing myself but didn't want to go to the expense of a yogurt maker if I didin't like it. Hmmmm might have to give it some more thought.
I got the tail end of a conversation about making cream cheese on another thread but it moved to fast for me to grasp all that was said. Was it weezl on the GC thread that flavoured cream cheese?
Hi Cheerfulness - i`m not 100% sure who it was who was talking about flavouring the soft cheese but i think you are right and it could be weezl
I followed a linky from one of the threads and found a page to easy yogurt making from somewhere else and i`ve just been searching for it to post for you but i can`t have saved it and i can`t find it now.:o
I`m just waiting for the weekend for more milk now to try the cheese, the yogurt is great, i was thinking about a yogurt maker but now i`ll stick to the flask i think as it works ok and is easy to clean.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Hi All,
We decided to treat ourselves to a last visit to Gibraltar today and have lunch out as tomorrow will mostly be spent tidying and cleaning the apartment ready for leaving on Saturday morning.
The queues into Gib were really long so we parked in Spain and walked over the border and into the centre (about 20 mins each way). OH went for a haircut whilst I did some window shopping and became doubly determined to lose some more weight so I can treat myself to some new clothes. We then walked up to our favourite restaurant/bar and shared a plate of potato skins (last of the Big Spenders!). On our way back we diverted back to the main square for a last icecream.
We came home to lie in the sun and read but after about an hour I started feeling sick and came into the cool for a lie down. I've had a sleep and feel much better but just had a yoghurt for tea. I still cooked for OH but didn't feel like eating myself.
B: Fruit and fibre, muesli, skimmed milk. Pineapple juice.
L: Shared potato skins with garlic dip. Icecream. CokeRaspberry yoghurt.
Snacks: Orange.
I think I might be extra good and take a couple of turns around the park before settling down for the evening - make up for Sat when we'll be sat down in transit most of the day.

Well, had a snack that wasn't planned... a mango that looked soooooo tempting, I should really have put half in the fridge for later on. I got too hungry at lunch time. Well I think maybe thirsty. I arrived home having had no coffee this mid morning. Had lunch immediately as I was hungry. I think it would have been better to sit for 10 minutes with my cuppa before I started on lunch.
Lentil bol for dinner with pasta. Had planned to cook veg and didn't. Must have a meal with vegetables tomorrow.
Chorus tonight, I must plan for something when I get in. Long evening, so must also remember to take drinks. Must also plan some meals for the next week.
Once I had got going with the vacc-ing it wasn't so bad. I went to put each item away separately for a while, figured it was more running around!
Have a lovely evening, not too much snacking you lot!
Have a good ev"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

B*mmer, I gained a pound:o
Never mind, I think I deserved it after yesterday. I [STRIKE]think[/STRIKE] know that bread bloats me but OH had made a malted seed loaf yesterday so I had to try it didn't I:rolleyes:
and then there was the buffet and someone bought me a likkle box of choccies.......
Back on track tomorrow, I called in MrT's on the way home to buy salad for my lunch amd I've still got fruit in the fridge at work. Boss has now gone on holiday for 2 weeks (Florida) so I won't be tempted to have a biscuit with every cuppa!
I have walked over 10,000 steps today, done my belly dancing class at lunchtime and I did my latin dance class last night so exercise a plenty :j
Off for a surf and then settle down to watch the box. See you tomorrow folks :A0 -
Bloomin nora! I had to come back on here and post - HOW many calories does pasta have????? Since I've started watching my portions sizes I've been weighing rice etc to make sure I don't overeat. Anyway measured out 75gs of pasta tubes - which looks a pitifully small amount, I must normally eat nearly 3 times that much :eek::eek:. Really makes you think, I used to think oh I'll have pasta, that's not too fattening and I must have been shovelling down about 1000 calories every time! With a mountain of parmesan on top *shaking her head* oh Nixy, no wonder you've got a bit chunky, eh lass?
have a good evening you lot - I'll have you know I came home and did 2 x 30 sit ups and some leg raises as well LOL not a mountain of exercise but hey, it's a startComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%
