    Evening all :D

Rockie you will whip that little pound off in no time ;) .... the stresses of this week are probably to blame.. and OH and his bread making skills :p

Had jacket potato, cottage cheese n salad for dinner nomnom and hubby has gone to bed until 10pm as he has to be leaving at 11:30 to pick up folks at around 1am and deposit it them back all over the place -so heck knows what time he will get back in  still he does get tomorrow of in lieu :j so we are off round the golf course and then stopping off at the NAFFI -just in case they have any whoopsies...really only have room/need for milk but you never know :p

Well i finally stewed that rhubarb in the micro.... decided to not add the sugar (though god knows it needed it  ) instead i added the 1/2 jar of apfelmus and half jar of cherries in juice that were in the fridge :j which made it sweet enough and got rid of the jars in the fridge.. i divided it up into 7 dishes and topped with SF strawberry jelly... and have just had one with 1/2 a raspberry yogurt... nomnomnom... could pass it off as triffle :D

Hubby has been paid early..so i have my new housekeeping fund :j but im sticking €400 in the savings account and just keeping out €70..tight fisted git that i am :p mind i have meal planned for MAY and apart from milk, fruit, yog and veg i have everything ...including stuff for baking as and when i need it :T

Got plenty done in the garden but want to get the lawn mown tomorrow -all adds towards next weeks weight loss ;)

KentishMaid.... im a repeat returner to WW too :rotfl: god i could quote that diet chapter and verse:p in fact i used to think i should have my own chair with my name on it.... its so liberating not to be counting things everytime i eat something..

Saversarn.... 11lbs in 10 weeks is not only great -but its nice and consistent too:j . I used to work in reverse - weigh day used to be thursday morning.. so thur/fri/sat/sun used to be "eat too much days" followed by mon/tue/wed eating a minimum to compensate  .. it really was a hard habbit to break..im sure you will soon crack it ;)

right i had better get off and get something done
keep up the great work everyone:D weigh in in the morning ..will wait and see what happens..fingers crossed ...although TOTM may hinder..but hey ho i will cope :p

    Evening all

Thank you for the warm welcome :D Everything has gone well today and tried the chew chew thing. Didn't manage 32 chews but felt I didn't need as much food. I normally wolf down my food so will try and stick to this and appreciate the food I am eating.

    B - porridge

S - small apple and 2 oakcakes with scrapping of peanut butter

L - HM steamed rice with chicken and veg and a peach

D - finished off the bean mix salad and had some more cod and a pear

Walked to and from station about 18 mins each way but knew getting up at 5.30am to exercise wasn't going to last  Will jump on the stepper later.

I have started taking my lunch and dinner into work in those take away containers (from my take away days which I couldn't afford to go back to even if I wanted!!) to control my portion size. I make sure I don't fill them to the top. Its amazing looking at amount that in the past I would consider that as a starter portion rather then a main one :o

Have to get back into the swing of HM things. Has anyone got any ideas for what to bring in for lunch or point me in the right direction? Any advice would be welcomed!

    Good luck everyone.

  • Been feeling proper grotty and sorry for me self the last couple of days, got a rotten cold. I'd normally force myself(;)) to have a couple of days on the sofa with daytime telly when feeling this rough, but no such luxury this time.... our not very nice boss is full of it too but continues to sit valiantly at his desk sneezing and spluttering over everyone, so me and a couple of other poorly peeps feel obliged to do the same! (soldier on I mean, not sneeze over the rest of the office! ). Ah well, it's Friday tomorrow thank goodness!

On the plus side, my appetite has temporarily disappeared!:D I've had gallons of hot drinks, soup, cereals etc, but everything tastes of nothing at the moment so might as well not bother with high cal bickies and choccy while they taste like cardboard... I'll save them for when my taste buds return, in moderation of course:A :p

Hope everyone else is feeling well. Hello and welcome to our newbies:hello:, and good luck to those who've got a Friday weigh in - fingers crossed for you!

Sorry to hear that you are feeling grotty Droopy. I'm recovering, up and about, back at work and doing stuff, but still coughing.

Just been to chorus, stopped at mr T on the way home and had a cuppa with some granola cereal. it wasn't a planned snack, but reasonably healthy, I only had one course earlier on as well. Need to NOT have unplanned snacks tomorrow. Best plan them now maybe!

Well I shan't be here first in the morning, but it will be porridge for brekkie!

  • Morning...

Had my WI today... lost 0.25 of a lb... rubbish. However i am feeling bloated and sluggish and generally heavy. Will guzzle some herbal tea and water today to try and get things shifted.

Today is usually what i consider my 'treat' day... but I am stopping it.

    So plan for today is...

    Brekkie: Cornflakes
Lunch: Tomato and Basil Soup with Croutons.
Dinner: 2 Sausages, carrot, swede and potato mash, cabbage and gravy.

I am off out to see a 'queen tribute band' tonight with some friends so will have a glass of vino or too... Think i need it, i have had a rubbish week!

On a rest day exercise wise, my calves are feeling stiff... am planning on a 5 mile early morning walk tomorrow.

    Have a fab day everyone!

    Good morning everyone!

I am new to the site and this looks like just what I need. I used to be a fit and trim 9st 3lb and loved running. Unfortunately, last time I trained for the London Marathon in 2006, I began to suffer with depression and, once the race was over, I gave up running all together. I am no longer on medication but have been left with a very bad habit - binge eating. My confidence in my appearance is at an all time low and I'm now 10st 10lb - heavier than I have ever been. I binge eat in secret and have been known to get through entire tubs of ice cream, whole chocolate chip brioches or, once, a complete lemon drizzle cake in one sitting. It makes me feel weak and ashamed but I just don't seem to have a very effective off switch - I even eat things I don't really like that much, its ridiculous.

Because I used to be so slim and healthy and the weight has crept on slowly, people don't really thinkI have a problem, but I know I don't have a healthy relationship with food at the moment. I'm hoping that coming on here everyday might help me to break my bad habits, lose weight and run faster again. I have a couple of goals - my boyfriends sister is getting married in August and I would like to wear a dress and feel nice. Plus, as I started running again a few weeks ago and have found it really enjoyable, I have entered the Great North Run in October this year, and the Wolverhampton half Marathon in September. So I have a goal for my weight and my training!:T

I hope you all don't mind me joining in, despite my bad habits I do actually have a qualification in weight management and nutrition so hopefully I can be of some help to you all too - it would definately be a case of 'do as I say and not as I do 'at the moment though!:rotfl:

I plan to wean myself off some of my more severe binging over the next few days and next week. My proper GNR training programme starts monday and I know I can't get everything perfectly right straight away, but I plan to be honest when I make mistakes, its the only way I'm going to sort this out - I dread to think whatI would look like by now if I didn't exercise:eek:

Thanks for listening - I don't normally waffle on so much honest!;)

    Good morning,

I'm a STS this week. I've had 5days of steroids for an asthma attack and probably would have eaten the carpet if it hadn't been nailed down, so STS is fine.

I now have conjunctivitus and look completely stunningly unattractive. I was going to take ds to the zoo for a good walk, but I think we'll be staying in today due to my appearance (I don't want to frighten other small children).

    Good luck to everyone else.

Superspam , don't worry about it, I think most of us know what we should do and what we shouldn't do, but the emotional side is something else.

I have a degree in Home Economics, worked for WW for quite a few years and also have quals in Anatomy & Physiology, Massage and Sports Massage therapy. I have covered a lot of stuff about diet and nutrition in the past, but it doesn't make it any easier to lose weight or stop me putting it on again!

I find that the relationship of depression, food and medication isn't an easy one, as I have to have med for SAD every winter. You're welcome to pop in here, it isn't just about the mechanics of what to eat, we all help each other with how we are feeling too and that is soooo important.
