Pigpen - if you want to forget the losing weight bit at the moment then maybe you should. Not worth making yourself miserable over it but you could still pop and say HI to your ole buddies.
I just bet that once you decide to stop dieting that the weight starts dropping off.
Confession... ate beautifully today and then had to nip to supermarket. Now overspent on my grocery challenge:mad: AND ate a magnum with OH in the car while we were sitting in the sun discussing how horrible teenagers can be. (DS1 had just felt the wrath of my tongue.. Trouble is I'm not quite sure which of us was in the wrong..teenager hormones up against 40something hormones...its a tricky one to call. )
Anyway the magnum was a cappuccino one and was delicous and the extra shopping money went on some fantastically reduced meat and good value fish which I totally don't regret.I'm just bad through and through.
Looks like I'm not the only one that jumped in with the treaty bits todayThats made me feel soooo much better.
Nite nite everyone.MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

http://www.mcdonalds.co.uk/?f=y Don't know if I believe it or not! Only marginally over 30% calories from fat as well, which is good news. Please note, I said cals from, not % calories. Big difference."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hi all
I popped by a few days ago and have to say you all have inspired me! I'm 32 and I have ALOT of weight to loose and have no excuse - I've been lazy! Was very good at the start of the year and lost 6lbs but then lost motivation.
Realised yesterday that no one can loose this weight for me and decided to start again today. Sick and tired of walking past clothes shops and knowing although I need new clothes I can't fit into the nice (and cheap!!!) ones. Also have been single for awhile and think this is because I am no longer comfortable with the size I am now and not as confident as I used to be.
I seem to do better when I report in to someone and I hope you don't mind if I report in here? I have started a weight chart and food diary. Taken all my measurements so all prepared.
So today....
B - bowl of porridge with soya milk
S - small apple, 2 oakcakes with scrapping of peanut butter and 6 cashew nuts (I know couldn't help it!)
L - large wholemeal bap with mackeral, sweetcorn, low fat mayo and a pear
D - small mixed bean salad, small grilled cod and a pear
I'm trying not to eat after 5! Thinking of doing the chewing thing will start tomorrow and see how it goes. Exercised this morning but getting up at 5.30 to fit it in may be my undoing!!! Will walk more as can't afford the gym at the moment besides can't drive so this helps lol My next weigh in is Tues so will keep you posted.
Anyway good luck everyone!0 -
As planned, dinner was soup with a spud...well 2 actually, tasted so well that I think I will put a couple of potatoes in when I next make the soup. Going to have a couple of satsumas (or whatever those little orange thingies are at this time of the year) as a bed time snack...dog tired even though I did very little to-day
Night all,

Morning everyone
I ended up being not so good yesteday, w**k was chaos so i never got any lunch so i was starving by the time i got home, i ended up having an early tea and later i was really bad and had a bag of dry roasted nuts and a bag of chilli heatwave doritos (myfave) and a huge glass of wine
Hopefully today will be better and i can stick to my plans. I did hop on the scales this morning and i weigh the same as yesterday but i`m mad as the elusive pound i want to lose before the weekend could have disappeared if i hadn`t been bad.
Todays plan is :-
BF potted meat on toast
Lunch tuna on toast
Dinner liver & bacon casserole & bread and butter
I made yogurt for the first time and had a taste at it this morning before i put it in the fridge, i`ll be eating tons of the stuff now i know how easy it is, i`d wanted to try it for ages so i put some long life milk in my wilco food flask and microwaved it for 3 mins, stirred in some greek yogurt and put the lid on, this morning i stirred and tasted it and it`s gorgeous, i`ve read that if i strain it in the fridge it makes a soft cheese to add things to for sandwiches, if i find some muslin squares i`ll have a go at this too.
Have a good day everyone.

Howdy Folks...
Okies if I join in?
I am getting hitched in September, and currently cannot fit into my dress... EEK!
I have tried all sorts of diets... WW, cabbage soup etc... BUT over the past couple of months I have come to the conclusion, that eating a wee bit less, and doing a bit of exercise actually does work...
So thats what I am doing, ensuring as well, i stick to my budget in true money saving style!!
Today my meal plans consist of:
Brekkie : Bowl of cornflakes and Semi Skimmed Milk
Lunch: Chicken Salad and a small Jacket Potato
Dinner: Home made chicken and veg curry with rice.
Exercise will consist of a walk to the house i am currently renovating (a mile each way) and bulking the old muscles out shovling rubble into a skip!
Have a good day all!

Morning.
Did super rubbish today i ate biscuits apon biscuit and crisps:mad: , I doubt I have lost any thing at all if not gain owt, my own fault I know. I shouldn't really grumble because I am, at the most, only 3 or 4lbs away from my healthly BMI weight range, but as I have issues with my weight it doesn't help.......but I wont be going down that road again, never mind that.
Today as most of you are the children are off school, my youngest son should be at school(if he was in his "propper" class) but as he is in the SEN part of the school his teacher is off.
B - Crunchie nut.
L - Salad and cheese bowl or crunchie nut

Snacks fruit yogurt and only fruit and yogurtGrocery Challenge. £400. - £35.22 + £19.80 + £109.01 = £164.03
Other spends (Clothes Luxuries etc)£11.97 + £1.19 + £7.36 + £69.00 + £38.50 + £5.50 + £23.00 +£2.00 = £158.52:shocked::sad:0 -
