    Morning all :D

Well done toni :T .... and i know where you are coming from with the bits n bobs that you "forget" you have eaten... i used to be a devil for that :-
if i was standing up and eating -it didn't count
if i ate it whilst cooking (had to test things ;) ) it didn't count
if no-one saw me eat it - it didn't count oh and if it was something like a crisp or a few peanuts off hubby... yep you've guessed -it didn't count :rotfl:
Im better now, but not as good as i should be.....

pebbles.. i put my oats (with dried apple n sultanas) in a bowl with a splash of milk and leave it in the fridge over night (i use 1/4 cup of oats and 1/4 cup of milk) and then in a morning add a good dollop of fruit yogurt..makes it creamier ;)

Hi WorkingHardDFW and welcome on board :D

well hubby is off playing hockey today... some sort of unit/reme thing i think  ... as he isn't sure what time he will be back he has said he will have a pizza out of the freezer with extra salami and mozarella .... so i only need to fend for myself today :D and as only 1 piece is missing out of the courgette quiche -guess what im having for dinner :p and im going to portion and freeze the rest for other lunches for me :D
Well hubby has taken a shine to those courgette muffins :rotfl: out of the 36... 10 have made it to the freezer for when i fancy something sweet... 20 have gone to work with hubby (bet the empty tub comes back tonight ;) ) and it wasn't ME who ate the other 6 :rotfl: ..hubby made me put them out of his way as he couldn't resist  . The good thing i guess is that i have enough left for a treat but not enough to do any damage :T ....plus of course it means next week i can make something else to try ;)

    meals today :-
    1. brekkie -had an apple and an orange
    2. will have a piece of courgette quiche with kraut salat
    3. dinner going to roast onions, sweet potato and parsnips for me yumty yumty..and have a tiny drizzle of balsamic syrup
    4. snacks -fruit or yogurts..
Just realised that will be a meat free day for me -but very yummy non the less :D
I need to get a jelly made later , it may have to go in the basement fridge as i think the one in the kitchen is packed.... oooh just remembered i have some rhubarb down there..will fetch that up and stew it and have it with my jelly and yogurt ...

Having a fairly lazy day as i have no meals to sort and the loaf i made yesterday has gone untouched  ...... so im going to have a plod around the garden and get some more bits done..planting parsnip seeds for a start

Rockie...glad OH has kept his job :T .....thats got to be a relief and a half ....

Sunnyday... well done on getting back on track ...

Right im gonna get off for now as i keep losing my connection

Hello to everyone and hope we are all well ...
will pop back later when the PC stops playing silly devils :D

    Hiya everyone,

Chilly, soggy morning here today. Having to pop heating back on as mum coming round later and she's still got a bit of cold about her.

Toniwoty - well done on that 1lb loss. :T :T Its shifting, isn't it? ;)

MRSMC - That courgette cake has gone into my recipes folder. I'm already looking longingly at the seedlings in the greenhouse thinking 'GROW!' :p If I get the promised glut that everyone else but me seems to have achieved then they'll be a far few muffins made out of them. :D

Rockie - That was a turn up them changing his duties for him... bet you were thrilled. ;)

Rose wood - Bet you're delighted the weather has decided to be good to you for your final few days. :) At least the temperatures over here are forecast to get higher even if it is much wetter.

    Food today:
    Readybrek
Cheese & prawn omelette with apple coleslaw and salad.
Duck pate on HM seedy bread toast.

Snacks - usual red grapefruit, orange and apples

The lads are having HM corned beef crispbakes and chips tonight so that gives me a change to grab my beloved omelette. Mum loves it too so she's coming to lunch. :D

I still haven't used my fresh yeast yet but I'm thinking that bagels might be the order of the day tomorrow so I'll fish out the recipe today and get myself ready...I tend to procrastinate and should learn to stop doing it.

The forecast has promised that this rotten drizzly rain will be replaced by sunshine by lunchtime so if that is the case  I shall set mum up on a chair in my greenhouse (she's like a kiddie in a wendy house out there :p ) and take a couple of mugs of tea and get seed setting. Even if it rains its really warm and cosy in there although its not heated. We both love it in there. :D

Hope all the weigh ins today go as hoped. ;) Will catch up with you all later.

    Morning all!

    COME BACK PIGPEN!!!!

Both OH and I were perfectly good yesterday, stuck to our meal plan and didn't snack at all. OH made an amazing carbonara with turkey rashers instead of bacon and loads of mushrooms. Delicious.

    Today:
    B: museli, extra raisins
    S: pear
L: salad, small bowl of veg soup, yoghurt
    S: orange
D: pork loin chop thing, smidgen of melted roquefort (!), veg and rice

Due to a bad traffic accident last night, I had to unexpectedly walk an extra mile up hill home. Was all hot and bothered when I got home! x

LOL.. but it isn't working and I've decided I'll cope with my knees hurting.. I don't think I am meant to be lighter than I am.. my weight has been static for 2.5 years.. before that I only lost weight because I was miserable (pnd and my gran died) and moving house

savoury mince and mash for breakfast! lol

Since I started here do you realise I've lost nothing... since last August not a bean. I find totally demoralising seeing others doing really well or even losing 1lb a month.. I can't even do that!

    Morning everyone!
Well done Toniwotty - and anyone else I may have missed.
Pigpen - when it's time it will happen. Don't write it off completely, just leave it sat at the back of your mind fgor a little while until you're ready - and keep checking in here, you never know what might happen

Well Diets that Time Forgot last night - I was whooping when the chewers lost the most weight :T. Reporting in on my chewing experiments - have just thrown half my porridge away as I felt full and didn't need to eat anymore, yay. Yesterday could have been a disaster as I was out with boss and we hit the motorway services TWICE - at first one it was breakfast and so I had a bacon bun - which was huge! So I sat there and did the chew chew chew thing and only ate half of it. Then on the way back chose a salad (and a teeny piece of carrot cake but only because it came free with the salad :o) and chew chew chew'd that. Got home at 6 and didn't eat another thing as felt stuffed for the rest of the night. So I'm glad to say the physical amount of food I am eating is definitely going down as I stay fuller for longer and eat less in the first place. IF this works then it has got to be the dieting trick of the century. To say I am impatient to see results would be an understatement - I am literally wishing the week away so it can be weigh day again and I can see how much I have lost LOL. Crackers. But lovely to be back on track again, it is so depressing when you hit a spell where you know you should be doing it but you really haven't got the motivation.

Have a great day everyone xx

  • Afternoon All

I've spent all morning waiting in for a new mattress, they said it would be delivered by "lunchtime" so I could be here for a while yet.........
Felt rubbish last night and I ate 8 choc bics and 2 glasses of wine  . Don't know what came over me. Anyway, I've decided to keep a food diary and hopefully seeing what I can eat sometimes will shame me into not eating it, IYKWIM.

    B- omlette
    L - HM soup
D - Steak & kidney pudding, mash and mushy peas

Nix - think you've got something good going with the chewing, not only are you eating less and feeling fuller you're giving your digestive system a hand, something which I could do with so I'm gonna give the chew, chew, chewing a try :D

PigPen - Please don't go, I'll miss your avatar ;)
Well done to the losers :T

My new mattress has just been delivered, now how do I stop DD from bouncing on it?

(((pigpen))) - you've done so well with your debt reduction and keeping us on the straight and narrow on the flylady thread. What do you need from us? Tea and sympathy or a kick up the bum? xx
  • Ok I am jumping into this feet first.

Need to lose 28lbs in weight. I posted earlier on another thread about being able to achieve weight lost when I have the right mind set. I've lost the weight before through a combination of healthy eating and exercise.

Like you all I am intelligent woman and I know what i need to do and eat and I sort of do it. However I blow it by eating too much (I've a shocking sweet tooth) extra sweet stuff - usually when no one else is around - hence my lovely static 2 extra stone.

I wasn't quite sure of the role of this thread but reading the last couple of pages it seems like you guys post your days achievements, and what you've eaten? IS that right?

I've got a Debt diary running on here which has really helped me stay focused. Clearly this forum is appropriate for a weight loss one - sad to say I think MSE might not even be. Does anyone have any recomendations for one?

    Thanks

Hi WorkingHardDFW - I guess everyone uses the thread differently. Some post what they've eaten every day and some of us dip in and out. As with everything, its what suits you. If it suits you to post what your eating, then crack on. We're all very nosy and like ideas about what to eat :D Good luck with the weight loss
