:T :T :T :T I lost another 2lbs:T :T :T :T Have now lost 6lb in 3 weeks!
Well done MrsM :T
Quickie today, soaked oats with yoghurt and berries, I've got a snackpot thing for my lunch as I've got an errand to run but might ger something else as I'm not sure I fancy it......
Tea will be decided later, OH has a day off so is meeting me after work and we're going for a swim/steam/sauna.
See you later folks:A0 -
Well done Rockie, cranky and MRSMC :T :T Oh and MRSMC for hitting her target early.
Just a quick one as we are due out in 20 mins and I've still to get ready.
Tortillas were a real hit with the lads and they all loved them. :j Just as well because as they are so cheap and versatile, we'll be having a fair few of those in the future.
Food today:
Dry fried egg on seedy toast
Roasted lemon/garlic chicken, roasties, cabbage, carrots and gravy
If I'm hungry later I'll have a gooseberry fool and hummus on toast
Feel very encouraged with all the loses this morning but thoughts for those that have STS or had a little gain... sometimes the scales just don't reflect the work put in but they will.
Will be back later to catch up. Have a good day everyone.
OOhhh just realised MrsMc that you said you became a
 14st something.

Morning!
This food debate is certainly getting me thinking...I've started getting what veg I can from our little pet shop cuz he uses local suppliers. I assume they use local-ish farms, but at least I'm trying to support our folk:p But I've noticed that the food tastes like it should, even if it does look like it's been run over by MrMc in one of his tanks:rotfl: I also keep meaning to try out the shop at a PYO Farm about 15mins drive away, but last time I looked, their prices were a bit:eek: for my budget then. In some ways it's easier having the offspring working so SIZE=1]finacially[/SIZE contributing to the house-keep, but harder work cuz of feeding four adults.
I'm intrigued too, by the chat on chewing:D Paul McKenna recommends 20 I think, & a dr on TV the other morning....Mind you, what she said made sense too. Apparently, there is a 'sensor' in the jaw that registers the action in your brain & alerts your stomach to expect food. When that sensor has had enough 'hits' the brain tells your belly you're full. So if I remember Nix, I'll give it a go with you:p PmcK also said to put your cutlery down between each mouthful for similar reasoning....think we tried it for a couple of times, so yep---I'll sign up for that.
I have been diagnosed with sleep apneoa Pebbles & the nurse at the clinic has said that any poor sleep pattern over extended periods, will cause all manner of other ill health... one of those being a difficulty in losing weight. It's a bit of atho, cuz sleep will improve if you lose weight, but it's a damned sight harder losing the weight cuz of the lack of sleep:mad: I do so wish those vicious circles would sign up for anger management classes:o & leave my life alone;)
I shall be venturing into the realms of Tortilla Time very soon, cuz my new pans have arrived:j but to make them for No1 lunch box I would either have to get up at 4am to cook fresh, or take them into work & risk becoming known as the Mother-Who-Embarrasses-Her-Kids:D SIZE=1]wouldn't bother me but it'd be real sticky at home
Oops..nearly forgot....thanks for the recipes MrsMc, I can see I'll be a tad busy this week-end.*shouts to offspring "Put the fire station back on speed-dial?"*Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Well done rockie, cranky, mrsm and everyone else who is losing
As for the chew thing, I had a stomach ache the other day and so decided I would eat but chew everything 32 times. I'm usually a gannet and it hardly touches the sides. I did feel a bit more full than usual and my stomach ache didn't get any worse (which I was expecting). I did mean to carry on trying it but forgot yesterday
So will try again - although I think for porridge and prawn stirfry 32 times might be a little overkill
As for yummy things - yup golden syrup - the proper stuff but in a squeezy bottle for less messHad it on my porridge this morning.
I can't do butter every day or I get my eczema flare up, so it's flora for me (meant to not have those hydrogenated bits in - so must be better than some)
Food today is:
Breakfast: porridge with raisins and syrup
Lunch: wholemeal wraps (and not HM - for a change) with olive hummus, tuna, spinach and chopped olives in.
Tea: Prawn stirfry
Snacks - are all gone. No curly wurlies, no maoam sweets and no biscuits. Might get a yoghurt or fruit at Tesco at lunchtime.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
I felt a bit light headed this morning when I woke up. I got on the scales and I've lost 4lb in only 5 days  . Think I need to eat a bit more especially when I've run up and down the loft ladder and stairs about 15 times
. I only need to lose another 6lb before I'm "happy" but I'm gonna try and take things a bit more slowly or I'll just end up putting it all back on in a weekend or something. I'm out for a meal tonight so will probably do just that  .
Just had bran twigs and sultanas for brekkie, lunch will be some sort of HM soup at my mums and out for tea
Well done Mrs M, Cranky and Rockie :j0 -
Morning all, well done to all the losers:T I'm actually going to add myself to that as I have lost 3lbs (changed scales though and no longer weigh in shoes:o )
Anyway they are super duper all singing all dancing scales so I'm sticking with these- flashes up stones pounds and ounces:cool: and I never wanted to include my shoes anyway
After weighing in at my friends house we went for an hours walk accross field and through woods up and down hills was lovely and 6k steps so that took my daily total up to over 12k:A
We did end up in the pub:rolleyes:
I changed from slimline tonic with my gin to fat tonic to avoid aspertame and guess what a small bottle of schweppes tonic 125ml is 27 cals and slimline is 3 cals so I have been poisoning myself for only 24 cals.... can't believe that I thought I was saving hundreds of calories but I guess tonic is not sweet anyway!!!!!
B- toast and marmalade
L- pub (commitee meeting honest:o )
D- curry and rice
snacks small bit lemon drizzle (didn't have a crumb when I cut it:A )
apple and navel orange.
Have a good day y'all0 -
Ok im back again
Will pay attention and not hit the "submit reply" button before i have done this time
Went to Aldi... was very proud of myself as i yomped off down there... went straight to what i needed and back out again :A ... have learnt a cunning tip -by accident mind... forget your €1 coin -so you can't have a trolley  ... then load what you pick into your shoping bags as you go and realise just how bloomin heavy everything is so only get what you must :rotfl:
Grabbed:-- 8 yogs..my proper full fat full everything ones..nommy nomnom.. no cherry though  so i had raspberry..
- 2 kilo navels
- 2 kilo crunchy jonagolds -had one for brekkie when i got back
- 2 kilo onions...panic if i run low as i use soooo many when im cooking
)... but im not banking on them making it that far
Got back and sent myself into the basement freezer..now have an updated list  going to set myself a "freezer challenge" for May.... have to use as much as possible out of there... need to make room for my veggies when they start to produce far to many things for us to eat... im optomistic if nothing else :rotfl: . So im going to make some kind of a meal plan today
I have to confess that im generally in the group headed "food doesn't touch the sides on the way down".... i do try and slow it down... but putting my cutlery down every mouth full would drive me nuts :rotfl: ... actually if im honest im also a swine for eating with my fingers
..... I have lovely table manners when i go out or have company..honest... but its something i have always done -its strange because im so finiky otherwise.... knives in mouths and i freak, bread with dinners, lots of gravy, food not in its own little piles, bread dipped in soup, biccies in tea/coffee  you name it im fussy about it mind i still make no mess when i use my piggies ..hubby with cutlery is quite a sight to behold :rotfl: ..if at least 1 item doesn't hit the floor then its not a proper meal:rotfl: ..god we sound like a couple of chimps
I know someone was saying a while back about them recomending not having too much choice on your plate at once-so you get bored quicker.... couldn't do that one either.... i like lots of variety...crunchy, smooth, hot, cold, yumm
BigmummaF... im going to be starting to pack hubby up with tortillas for lunch soon and they will be made and packed the night before
Think im going to make them and leave them in the teatowel to cool so they don't dry and then filled, rolled and wrapped tightly in clingfilm and whacked in the fridge...they should be fine...
I have to say i get plenty of sleep..but you are right it is a viscious circle... before i lost weight i used to really struggle to drop off... hubby has trained himself to drop off in seconds (part of the job really) i used to be awake for hours and it bugged me cos he would be snoring as soon as he said goodnight... i really do think it was eating too much and going to bed on a full stomach and too much prossesed stuff..and i always woke up feeling really achey and squiffy (food hangover
)... now its very rare for me to be awake after about 5 mins :j ..and i sleep for about 8 hours..and don't have achey bones when i get up... but it's breaking the cycle thats the problem isn't it
Well done on the loss rockie :T and cranky :j and anyone i might have missed...
My fave full fat/sugar food has to be..... cottage cheesesilly i know -but i love the stuff but i like langley farm ... but i have managed to find a yummy german one (used to like lidls in the UK).. can only get langley in the NAFFI.... €1.89 a tub  they must think i fell off a xmas tree ..mind one of hubbies fave meals is salad, jacket potato n cottage cheese :T
Well i should get off and get the meat bit done for the moussaka thingy....
oooh before i go..has anyone watched that jamie at home programme? we are getting it now.... yesterday he did a courgette carbonara ...oh my word.. nomnomnom ... i have the book (lovely brother got it me)... i think the recipe is in there but i remembered it as it was so simple....not exactly low on the cals but i thought of having a smaller portion with a big side salad... so must plant more courgettes :rotfl:
right im off
hope everyone has a great day...oooh frogot... my BMI has gone down another 1 point... from 35.5 to 34.5..right now im going ...
keep up the great work everyone :T-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
