  • Evening All :)

Had a bit of a funny day today. Last night just after tea I got a bad stomach ache, I thought it might be from the prawns I'd had for tea (OH and DD have been ok), anyway, went to bed and awoke still hurting a bit. I couldn't face anything for brekkie so truddled off and dropped DD off at play school. Felt ok when I got back, had some bran twigs and then decluttered half the loft :D I must have climbed up and down the loft ladders and stairs to dump stuff in the trailer about 15 times so lots of excercise for a change :j .

Lunch was a humous salad and dinner was chicken/sweetcorn/brocolli/pasta bake which I used a teaplate instead of a larger dinner plate. I've always eaten everything on my plate, even if I don't like it :o , so this is a big help :D

I'm off out to a nice restaurant in manchester tomorrow night for our wedding anniversary so I hope I don't undo any hard work. I'm gonna weigh myself tomorrow morning and then hope I can make sensible choices from the menu :p

Arghh. Posted and it didn't show up. Having some internet problems. To put it mildly.

Anyway. I ended up not having lunch at all. I had my 'morning snack' of hummus and veges, then there was a big delay. By then the salad was probably too warm to be safe, and i just had my miso soup. Whatever, it kept me going till home-time. When I had roast chicken leg, stir-fried veges and tomatoes baked with mozzarella (NOT a success). Oh, and some wine, of course. There are diets and there are ways of eating. Mine's the latter.

Hi all, just a quickie, not much to report but you lot keep me focused - breakfast = porridge, lunch = HM pea and ham soup and mullerrice (I had a craving!) and then off shopping, walked round Trafford Centre for 3 hours, feet were banging so we ended up in some mexican place - HOWEVER we chose it because it had been voted in top healthiest fast food places and had lovely steak burrito (small) with tonnes of veg on it. At one time I would have had the large with tortillas and guacamole. And I am sure the 3 hours walking round and round counts as exercise in some way :o

As an aside, I am still doing the chewing thing (you should see me eating porridge :D) and I swear I feel fuller for longer! It's a bit mental actually...........I don't quite see how it can make that much of a difference but I haven't been hungry since I started chewing and so I'm sticking with it. Weigh day next week will show if it actually has helped or not. Ermmmm, don't suppose someone else fancies chewing their food 32 times as well to see if they notice a difference? The women I work with all think I am mad :D

    Hi Homealone :D

you poor thing, is there no way your doctor can have a look at your meds so that you can get into a routine with sleeping etc, ie time release painkillers etc?? , IMO being tired makes you feel even worse. Plus as you say you are awake when everyone else asleep, so that makes you feel quite lonely and down too (well it does for me anyway)

if you can perhaps get a bit more sorted you may be able to gain control of the eating/smoking???

you are certainly in the right place here for help though :D

thanks pebbles, just knowing someone on here willing to chat and take an interest makes a big difference. am in middle of trying new routine for sleeping and stuff and going to keep all snacks from bedroom as cant get downstairs easily so that might keep me at bay a bit

Morning all :D ...in fact have 2 :D:D

Lost 2.5lbs this week :j so im now 14st 13.5lbs... so no longer a 15st something person:D ....so thats 6st and 0.5lb gone and 4st 3.5lbs left to shift :D so im in a super duper happy mood....oooh oooh and i have hit my may day target too :j

Have to nip out in a moment as i am in dire need of some fruit and my yogs ...so that will be and hours or so exercise....

    Meals today:-
    • Brekkie... not hungry yet so think i will have a yogurt when i get back
    • lunch... some kind of salad
    • dinner.. doing a moussaka based thing with layers of grated potato in and feta on top.. will post recipe when i have made it :D just in case anyone wants it. Mum made one using a packet mix she had in..told me what it was basically -so im going to recreate a from scratch version ;)
Home alone...what a nightmare, would you be able to break your meals up into say 6 smaller ones so that you still can eat when you are awake at all hours? probably something you have allready tried i bet but thought i'd suggest it -just in case :D

KuneKune..i used to have the same problem...now when i finish typing i hold down the shift key and press the direction buttons so that all the writting goes black... then press ctrl and C which copies it..then post your message and if it doesn't appear start a new message and press ctrl and V and it will paste the whole message on for you ...saves re-typing

well i didn't meant to post yet :rotfl: ..but will get off shoping and finish the rest of my message when i get back fro the shops :p
good luck to everyone weighing in today :D

    Morning everyone,

I`ve had my first breakast this morning which was one slice of toast with jam, i`ll be having another breakfast later on of beans on toast and then a jacket potato with cottage chese for lunch, dinner will be the much awaited salami omelette with spicy wedges YUM.

In case everyones wondering why i`m having 2 breafasts it`s because i had to get up for w**k at 4am and if i have something before i leave the house it keeps me going until the real breakfast time:o

Catch up with you all later.

MRSM woooohoooo! :j :j :T :T :j :j well done you! all you lot on here keep me going but mrsm especially because you are so consistent. and i'm sure you will get that other 4st 3.5 off in no time :D

just to add my twopenneth to the full fat rebellion, my FAVOURITE thing of all (tho i do love real butter) is golden syrup :p love the stuff but its got to be Tate & Lyle or its just not worth the bother. anyone else a total sugar junkie?! :o

i'm at work all day today so should stop me snacking!
    food for today:
    b- cornflakes
l - may treat myself to a jacket potato from the shop next door, they do a yummy bolognaise sauce on it. and then a swift walk home to check the post and grab a yoghurt!! (plus it adds a bit of exercise!)
    d - meatballs in pesto w. pasta :p:p

finally going to cook the 2 kilos of mince i dragged back from Mr T (along with a load of other stuff) on Tuesday, that walk felt like it took forever :rotfl:

probably going to walk down to DS nursery to pick him up later as it was too cold this morning :o

i hope all this exercise is doing something, shall be mightily  if it doesnt show on the scales next week.

i have to keep remind myself this week that losing the other 3st ( ) is not impossible. when i started i was the biggest i've ever been and i've never really lost much weight before i started this time so i'm a bit of a novice :o and often find it daunting. but thats also why i'm trying to change one thing about my eating habits each week so it becomes a lifestyle not a d**t (dirty word!!)

anyway enough of my ramble, have a good one ;)

2 lb off for me this week.

Sorry I haven't been posting much - I'm taking my chest infection to the doctors this morning, and my lovely ds (aged 3) was up at 5.30am, so I've had better weeks :rotfl:

How many weeks of the bank holiday challenge are left please?
