    Yep....

Mine go into a folded tea towel... hubby now knows if there is a tea towel all folded in a nice neat square -not to touch it :rotfl:

I often pack away when cool into a cornflakes packet..... an empty bag of course, not the box of cornflakes!

Well you bunch of little belters, how super brilliant are you!!!!:T
MrsM, SaverSarn, girl least likely to, rockie, cranky and anyone else I have missed, I am SO proud of you! Honestly, I read through the thread this morning and beamed for each and every one of you.
Perfect timing for me, have just booked my holiday at end of August - this is the 'proper' grown up holiday with my friend as opposed to July with friends and kids in Portugal - so I feel fabulous. I am incredibly lucky to be able to have 2 holidays and no way am I gonna muck this up. You know when you know you're back on track? I am right there!
B = Mullerlight - last one ever but it was cherry and I figured one more wasn't gonna kill me :p. I never really ate diet stuff anyway, don't have sugar in anything, always ate butter so really the odd yogurt was the only thing that had sweetener in it. As an aside, have you ever tried chewing yogurt? LOL :p
L = Salad sarnie with DS - going home at lunch as its last day of Easter holidays and even though he is capable of making a butty he likes seeing me during the day and I'm close enough to make it feasible. Plus I like seeing him too :o
D = Chicken fried rice - except there is so little fat in it you can't really say it's fried :o - got some cooked chicken in the freezer and this is a good way of making a little bit of chicken streeeeeeeeeetch to feed me and a hungry sproglet - with a huge salad for Mum and extra rice for the Nipper

Planning to make a HOOG vat of veggie chilli this weekend as my freezer is getting low on HM ready meal type things. And then even though there is only the 2 of us I might crack open a leg of lamb from the freezer on Sunday - all together now - NOM NOM NOM :rotfl:

have a great day everyone xx

Had a low carb brekkie of scrambled eggs and three rashers of bacon.

DH came home early and cut three slices of home made bread for him to have sandwich and had one slice myself with cheese spread on it.

Felt a bit guilty but - thoroughly enjoyed it, know what is in it - and if I had the processed bread would not have been able to stop eating it.

I seem to "notice" having the homemade stuff more and feel more satisfied with it.

Still have homemade split pea and ham soup in the fridge for later.

Have noted the recipe for tortillas and will give that a try tomorrow, unless I freeze some for later in the week.

I have made a conscious decision not to go to "slimming clubs" or official weigh ins and diets as I get so upset with myself.

Vicious circle - get weighed - stay same weight so eat to console myself.

Get weighed - lose weight - eat to celebrate!

Get weighed- put on a pound - eat to console myself!

    Anyone spot the underlying problem?

Since Monday have been eating "proper food" and avoiding processed bread, cakes, etc. Just caught sight of myself in the mirror - and my big fat tummy is looking a little bit neater.

My aim is to slowly get into trousers a little smaller and work my way down.

There is a long way to go.

Find the less sleep I get the more I eat and the more I eat the less sleep I get as I snore so much I wake myself up!!!

Cannot remember here I read it but there was a study somewhere that found people who struggled with their weight all were addicted to diet coke or other diet drinks.

We did end up in the pub:rolleyes:
I changed from slimline tonic with my gin to fat tonic to avoid aspertame and guess what a small bottle of schweppes tonic 125ml is 27 cals and slimline is 3 cals so I have been poisoning myself for only 24 cals.... can't believe that I thought I was saving hundreds of calories but I guess tonic is not sweet anyway!!!!!

I didnt know that! Have you tried gin and soda? I'm a vodka and tonic girl, but vary with vodka and soda because its much cheaper :rotfl: (in a pub) Its a bit different to start with, but you do get used to it.
  • Well done you losers!! :T :T :T :T :T

MrsM - a special well done for you on 3 counts:

    1. Getting under 15 stone :T
    2. Bursting the 6 stones lost :T
    3. Perhaps most importantly, getting your BMI under 35 :T :T :T

I was more pleased with getting under 15 stone than losing 2.5 lbs this week :rotfl:

    Hi All

Well done on the weight losses Mrs M, Rockie, Saversarn, Cranky, Girl Least Likely To and Skint Scots Lass. Hope I haven't missed anyone.

It's interesting what you said about Diet Coke Elona as I used to drink a big bottle every day and now weigh 3 stone more than when I used to drink it. I finally gave it up and now find it tastes horrible. I had given up Coke altogether but am afraid I do now have the ordinary one more often than I should - although it is only a tiny 250ml bottle when we go out and I don't buy it to drink in the house.

I have been cooking all morning ready for my DD (23) who is coming over for the weekend. She is arriving around 7pm and I am hoping the weather will be nice enough for us to walk home along the beach - about an hour. OH will drop us off outside Gibraltar and we can stride out catching up and getting some exercise. She is very fit and healty, bikes and walks everywhere and is beautifully slim. She is just the opposite of my DS (22) who although he is slim seems allergic to exercise and loves junk food (despite being brought up just as healthily as she was).

B: Muesli with fruit and fibre, raisins and skimmed milk. Pineapple juice.
L: HM carrot soup. Raspberry yoghurt.
D: HM kedgeree with added mushrooms. HM garlic bread to use up left over baguette from yesterday (I shall just have one piece). Strawberries.
    Snacks: Orange, banana.

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Hi Rose

Stupid question here. Do you live in Spain or are you there on holiday?

Had breakfast of egg and bacon and a glass of milk.
Took daughter to dentist and then went for a walk once she was at school, rather than starting work (naughty).
Had snack of yoghurt: sugar, not sweetener. But actually, it was too sweet and I didn't enjoy it.
Warming up lunch of leftover puy lentil & potato stew. Have added some low fat smoked sausage. Will only have a little potato.
Dinner tonight is chilli with lots of beans and vegetables and some cabbage/leek mix.

Weight was down to 14 st 0.5lb this morning, so since Tuesday it has dropped by 3lb at least. I think the truth is that there's no magic in the low processed carb diet: if I don't eat bread, I don't eat butter or jam, and I have a more filling protein based breakfast so I'm less likely to want a bacon butty at work or a flapjack. Replacing rice & potatoes and so forth with other vegetables and avoiding flour and sugar also redues the number of calories. It's just a very easy way of reducing my calorie intake.

    Hi Skint Scots Lass

I live in both the UK and in Spain. I live in the UK from the end of April to the beginning of November and in Spain from the beginning of Novemenber until the end of April. We go home again next Saturday so not long left here. I am lucky enough to only need to work part time and can do most of my work on the internet so it doesn't matter where I am. OH works quite hard in the UK but then has 6 months off whilst we are in Spain so we have lots of time for walks on the beach etc.

Well done on the weight loss KuneKune.

The best of both worlds :D I wondered if it made a difference to your weight loss campaign? I usually find it easier when the weather is nicer. I need to go to the shops, but I cant be bothered because its drizzling and my hair will go frizzy
