    Hi Everyone,

Well done on the weight loss Chloebelle.

Like lots of others this week I have been struggling a bit. For the past 4 weeks I've managed an average of 1,400 calories per day but this week I've gone up to an average of 1,900 per day. Now that is still below what is supposed to be the amount of calories needed per day so theoretically I should have just stayed the same this week. However, I am not too sure about that. I often think I have eaten nowhere near an extra 3,500 calories and another pound still goes on so I am not wholly convinced by all the figures that are brought out and touted around by so called experts.

We had a bit of a walk today - just up to see friends rather than on the beach. The weather forecast isn't brilliant for the weekend ahead which is a shame as my DD is coming for a long weekend. She was hoping for lots of walks on the beach and swims in the sea but I think she may be disappointed.

    B: Muesli etc. Pineapple juice.
L: 3 crackers with cheddar cheese, tomatoes, melon.
Snack: 1/2 a HM scone with jam, Fanta at friends.
D: Spinach tagliatelle with bacon and onion and a handful of cheese. Rasberry yoghurt (frozen).

Heres hoping we all manage to get over our munchies and back to astounding and wonderful weight losses very soon.

Planned snack: grapes and activia yogurt (not low fat but I could not find any low fat yogurt today that was free of aspartame, so will go with the fatter one and eat a bit less, one tub instead of two!).
i have been given a piece of information all about the perils of aspartame from a SW member I know and its frightening - I seem to eat so much of it but dont know what to replace it with!

    Evening ladies:hello:

    Well done Chloebelle :T :T :T

I had a couple of little biscuits this afternoon :o I had a headache lurking and can't take my painkillers on an empty stomach, biscuits seemed a better choice than a bag of crisps from the machine

Just had mushrooms stuffed with spinach and couscous with a bit of cheese on top - I'll count that as a 'healthy extra' and had half a jacket with it.

Might have a couple of yoghurts in a bit - I'll look to see if they contain aspartame  but will probably still eat them :o I struggle to find yoghurts that are ok on SW, I won't eat a lot of the recomended ones as they're not veggie.

Planning to do a lot of nothing this evening!

    See you later folks :A

There is evidence that aspartame is linked to ME, MS, lupus, especially dangerous to diabetics, some of the side effects are fibromyalgia, spasms, shooting pains, numbness in your legs, cramps, vertigo, dizziness, headaches, tinnitus, joint pain, depression, anxiety attacks, slurred speach, blurred vision, memory loss! birth defects, the list goes on , apparently it poisons your system. This information comes from research by Dr.H.J.Roberts who you can google for more information. I was given it by a friend. I am seriously rethinking my diet now as it does include sweetners in my drinks, diet yoghurts etc. The article also says that far from helping you slim, sweetners make you crave carbs and contains formaldehyde which stores fat in the hips and thighs!

    Its worth thinking about!

    Evening all :D

Taplady :T the bit about sweeteners making you crave carbs etc... thats why i have dumped most "diet" versions of stuff... and now find i no longer crave foods....:D .... i still have an occasional drink of SF dilute but i think thats about it on the artificial front...

Anyway... sorry for being missing all day -hubby had a day off so i wandered round the golf course with him , nipped to the naffi - not many bargains to be had , but i did grab 4 tubs of organic, dairy free soya spread for 50c a 500g tub.... now as you know im normally a butter girl but i thought this would come in for emergancies and its ok to bake with it too ;)

Hubby is away tomorrow until thursday evening..a golf competition and so has treated me to the good food mag :D and gardeners world mag -to keep my occupied apparently ...and the GW mag has free seeds for - sweet basil, gardenpearl tomatoes, oriental mix salad leaves and chilli peppers -so i have more seeds to sew :j
Cheerfulness... I have 10 of the peppers through now and 8 have their seed leaves out :p :rotfl: hope yours has some friends soon ;)

Had pasta bake for lunch/dinner as it fell in between and brekkie was 2 slices of my loaf with currants and coconut in -toasted with some seedless raspberry jam-it is gorgeous - i'm going to have to make another loaf soon ;)

Rockie.. hope OH hasn't ended up wearing his tea ;)

Well sorry to do a quicky and run -hubby is wanting use of the PC... the cheek of it :rotfl:

Anyway...have a great evening everyone..well done on the loses and chin up to those having a bit of a hard time ;)

i know sweeteners arent the healthiest thing in the world but i honestly had no idea about this!

i avoid WW ready meals at all costs as they are jam packed with crap additives, i am always ill whenever i have anything of theirs too. i try in general to avoid too much ready made stuff.

think i have learnt more on this thread about healthy eating and weight loss than any slimming club has ever mentioned!!
