Mother is popping down(for her benefit not mine otherwise i'd never see her:rolleyes: ) this afternoon so our kid is going to take me to collect my glasses, and I'll get the milk at the shop there to as its cheaper than asda.

    B- nothing.
    l - salad &cheese or crunchie nut.
t- jacket potatoe tuna sweet corn and salad.

Does anyone know how good for you IE calories etc in porridge, made with half and water milk water, with rasins, cinamon(sp) on. or what what would be good to eat with it.
    Grocery Challenge. £400. - £35.22 + £19.80 + £109.01 = £164.03
    Other spends (Clothes Luxuries etc)£11.97 + £1.19 + £7.36 + £69.00 + £38.50 + £5.50 + £23.00 +£2.00 = £158.52:shocked::sad:

Hi everyone, well weigh in today after a fortnight and unsurprisingly have put on 2lbs. However considering what I have been eating and drinking I don't think that's too bad and I am surprisingly upbeat about it. Bigger thing for me is that it feels like my head is slowly coming back round to the idea of watching what I eat and that's the biggest thing, I've been struggling for weeks and for the first time i really feel like I can get back on track, rather than force myself back on track
    B = porridge
L = 2 smoked mackerel and tomato pitta breads (am craving this at the minute and figure the oily fish thing has got to be good for me on some level)
D = no idea, right now I am absolutely stuffed - am still chewing everything to death and consequently I feel really full - however I'm out at the bingo at 7 :p so won't have time for dinner when I get home so I'll grab something when I get back.

Well done to all the losers and am right behind everyone else - we can do it!

    Afternoon everyone

Don't think i have posted today... but not sure I remember sitting down to type and thats it :rotfl: old age is obviously setting in :p

Well i have had a nana for brekkie and beans on toast for lunch and 2 oranges..... feel stuffed.... so heck knows what i will have for dinner
may not bother..ooooh or i might have weetabix :D

Had a 2hr wander this morning -went to the supermarket and then to the garden centre -so yes i have bought some more veggie seeds :o ... broad beans, and some more squashes, money maker tomatoes and mini cumbers

oh got a new pair of shoes -out of desperation.. i bl**dy hate shoes and so hate shoe shopping..would rather go to the flippin dentist that shoe shop:rolleyes: ... would be much happier walking round bare foot ...any how... after my trainers sprung a major leak yesterday i have picked a pair out.... and am really baffled as my shoe size is getting silly.... I was an 8 so put a pair on..they were like flippers, tried the next size down..too big..i have ended up with a 5.5  and they aren't a "wide" shape....so guess i have lost weight off my feet :rotfl: ... Luckily the shoes are really comfy..so if they stay that way im gonna get another pair next month -so i don't have to look again for yonks :D mind if i lose another 1/2 size i can buy from the kids/junior ranges :D

Cheerfulness..thats it then we will have our own UK/German experiment :rotfl: ... im going to plant mine in the morning..was going to do it today but I got wrapped up potting up some toms, asparagus peas, and those peppers out of the fridge pepper -all 10 have survived so far :D ... needed to make some room for the next lot :o
I planted some charlotte potatoes about a week ago (some from lidl that sprouted;) ) and today the are starting to peep through :T

Nix.. you will soon get rid of that little gain ;) ..its great that you know you are reacting differently to it than you used to do :T

    Well done sunny :j

Rockie..hope OH finds something a bit more suitable soon... thats why i talked hubby out of signing out of the army before we got married... he is never going to have a job like he has now... I know when they are deployed is god awful..but on a general basis its a bloomin good job-plenty of holidays, being payed to play sport etc... and in general he does mon - fri 8.30-4;30 and as i keep telling him he isn't going to find another job where they let you have days of work to play golf and pay you for 365 days a year
There are so many awful jobs out there aren't there.. you don't mind a naff job if the wages make it worth while -but they rarely do, do they?

Taplady... im breaking the habbit of a lifetime and throwing 5 yogurts away today too.... i got some muller lite cherry yogs whoopsed -opened one and can't bring myself to eat the others they are awfull...and as much as i hate throwing food away... in the bin they are going.. must fetch some proper full fat/sugar ones like i usually have tomorrow :D

Well done on the loss toniwotty :T

mean marie i had to read the post about DSs wedding several times as i was sure it shouldn't say €100 per head  .....jees they could have the holiday of a lifetime for that..still, if they can afford it and its important to them ;) ... i would be hyperventilating at the thought of it :rotfl:

Newlywed.... hope you are better soon...you seem to have had quite a few illnesses just lately..are you run down from not eating enough do you think?

right i think i have caught up... im off to veg on the sofa with my good food mag and gardeners world..heck im turning into an old fart :rotfl:

have a great evening everyone..and keep up the good work :D

    I doubt it ;)
Although I do skip fruit when the money runs low and to make sure OH can have his fruit every day :o Usually get 5 a day though.
OH thinks it's from being stressed about work.
I reckon this last bout is from a certain person coughing, spluttering and hacking stuff up all day at work  And they sit near me. I do seem to have had some stomach problems and am a bit concerned, although am now currently thinking perhaps it's aspartame or something else I'm eating that I shouldn't be :o
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

    Morning Campers!! :D

what a lovely day it is here today!! actually got washing out on the line!!

B - muller lite (using them up and not getting anymore - Aspartame  ) and seeds

L - big bowl of salad with 2 mini HM mushroom quiches

T - couple of ryvita with spread

im gutted, just attempted to make some falafels as i really enjoyed the ones i got from Cauldron, so i got recipe from Ainsley harriott, tried it, and they have come out horrid, it needed something to bind it as it would not stick together and i did not want to deep fry them. anyhow i persevered, added a touch of water and sprayed them with frylight, popped them in the oven til golden brown, and as soon as i took the tray out, they all collapsed!!!!!!

i wont waste them, will just mix em with cous cous but im gutted!!!! will have to look for a different recipe :p

Cheers MrsM, was just sat here feeling really chuffed that I still felt stuffed from my lunch - my big thing is I hate being hungry! I love that feeling of fullness you get from eating a big dinner and as soon as my tummy feels empty I just want to fill it back up again :o. Anyway, looked at Saversarns post and thought 'oh how calorific was my super filling lunch' and toddled off to add it up

 I think I ate all my calories for the day at lunchtime LOL! 2 pitta breads - 340 calories, add on a mackerel fillet, lil blob mayo, sliced toms........all in all once I added my brekkie porridge on it doesn't leave me with a lot to play with this evening! Lets hope me numbers come up on the bingo then I'll be too excited to even think about a celebratory battered sausage on my way home :D

    Hi All,

Well done on the weight loss Sunnyday and Toniwoty.

We have had another unscheduled trip into Gibraltar today as OH managed to break off a piece of our new combination microwave recently and has been unable to fix it himself. So we took it somewhere to be (hopefully) mended. So although no beach walk we did have a quick walk through Gib (around 4,000 steps)

We also had a very late start as we both slept in and didn't get up till eleven which is late even for us over here. Consequently I skipped lunch and just had a banana. Unfortunately, because we have no microwave/oven we succumbed to egg and chips for tea which isn't the best calorie choice I could have made.

B: Muesli mixed with fruit and fibre, raisins and skimmed milk. Pineapple juice.
    L: none
D: Egg, chips, mushrooms. Raspberry yoghurt.
    Snack: Banana, orange.
