  • Morning

Early start here this morning. I moved DD's furniture, gave her room a big spring clean and and took her bed rail off yesterday. I think she was so excited she hadn't fallen out of her big girl bed when she woke up this morning that she didn't realise it was till the middle of the night for mummy :rolleyes2:

B - fruit salad and yog
L- Veg soup and small slice pizza
D Prawn salad, loadsa peppers and small baked pots.

The sun is shining here so think I'll drag DD out in the garden with me and do some more digging over of my veg plot.

Well done toniwoty on losing :j .

Have a great day everyone :)

    Morning all,

Well done Chloebelle and Toniwoty :T .

Just a quick one this morning as DS2 is waiting on me to help him with his school work.

Total disaster on the tea front yesterday as I forgot to get my ham out the freezer and I fell asleep and burnt the lads shepherds pie..just a charred mess in the oven when DH came home. :o
As we were due out at friends soon we grabbed chips from the local chippie so my tea was 1/2 a bag of chips and an apple.

Will do better today and try to get organized. :p

    Food today:
Bowl of prunes in apple juice (was yum)
    Pastrami salad sandwich
HM chicken & mushroom pie with steamed cabbage and carrots

MRSMC - I got those seeds free with my gardeners world..its those particular chilli peppers that are leading me the dance. Having said that, 2 are up this morning so they're giving in. :D
The tomatoes and basil were up in days and are looking great. We'll have to compare notes on how they do in the two countries. ;)

Right, DS2 is now sighing heavily  so I'm guessing I better go help him.

Keep up the good work everyone. :D

    Morning all!

well done to chloebelle and toniwoty!:T

Caterina - thanks for the article, it made terrifying reading! I am now wondering if my consumption of this sweetner may have something to do with my IBS which I have only had since trying to lose weight! have lots of the low fat yoghurts in the fridge but am going to chick them in the bin and also my sweetners as of now! I will do as you suggested and try reducing the sugar in my drinks bit by bit. i dont drink diet drinks which is one good thing as I prefer water. I will also need to check labels more closely as I dare say its in a lot of food too! - all the more reason to make my own!

I am off to work today for a long shift but have decided to take a HM sandwich with me, we are going out for the day and quite often end up at KFC which doesn't have anything nice for a non meat eater. For tea today its toad in the hole on the menu - I'll be cooking it but making mine with quorn sausages.

B - mini weetabix - fruit and nut with skimmed milk

L - HM organic wholemeal sandwich(tuna and salad) with some grapes.

D - toad in the hole(quorn sausages) mash and veg.

snacks - fruit not sure what to replace the yoghurt with yet.

Hope you all have a good day, am off to check my cupboards for things with aspartame in!

Aldi do belight yoghurts which are low fat, quite tasty and have sugar and no artificial sweetners in - cherry one is nicest ;)

Anyway, hi all. I've not been too well again (flu) so food has been a bit up and down (not literally) in line with my mood really.

Have been eating shortbread biscuits this week and curly wurlies and maoam sweets :o Must try and stop that now (says she chomping on maoams )

Not sure what we'll eat today, I've had a yoghurt and some granola. DS back in school and dd now off. I'm still not at all well. Coughing & cold. COmpetition a week on Saturday, so this is noooooo good at all.

MIL just phoned to see if we need anything....just eggs. That's the beauty of being well prepared, isn't it?

I've been through my cupboards and have thrown out(well will take to work to see if anyone wants them) half a dozen yoghurts, low fat hot chocolate drinks, granulated sweetner and I've even found it in my 'healthy' Yakult probiotic(low fat one) so will be switching to the normal one with sugar in it which is what DH has. Not checked the freezer yet!

does anyone make their own yoghurt? whats it like and is it easy?

    Morning all,

Managed to have just one slice of lightly buttered bread with a sprinkle of gradano before I went to bed.

    To-day I have eaten:
    Apple;
Small serving porridge made on water with raisins, dried apricots, pears and prunes, coffee.
Dinner today will be drumsticks, spring greens and baked spuds.

    Have a good day

I like my home made yoghurt. DD will eat it but the other 2 not keen. that's good as it means if I make it, it doesn't all disappear. I learned a long time ago to keep some things in that I like, that noone else likes!!!!

    Morning ladies :hello:
I did ok last night, nothing more than what was planned:D

MrsM - OH rang work mid-morning and said he was going home ill, he then slept until 5pm  He's exhausted with these stupid hours and all the driving, so his tea stayed on the plate  It wouldn't be as bad if the money was good but it's rubbish so he's 'looking around' now where have I heard that before

Today I've had soaked outs, yoghurt and berries, lunch will be a jacket and beans from the refectory (we have a shiny new one!) I have my dance class after work  unfortunatley I've just found out that the department PITA has signed up for the same class  so I'll have to be rude and avoid her :naughty:

Tea will be something when I get in, I have got stuff in the freezer so will be good.
I have got a snack for later, I've always fancied trying veggie sushi and managed to get a snack pack from MrT last night, it's only 0.5syns on SW so I'll try it before my class

Off to do some work now, boss is still off and likely to be off all week now :undecided so I'll be busy!
    See you later folks :A

    Morning everyone

well done to Toniwoty & Chloebelle,

Well i`ve just nipped upstairs and onto the scales and to my amazement another pound has disappeared!
Perhaps it`s all the salad the last 3 days and tonight when i eat a cooked meal it`ll come back, hope not.
I`ve also swapped my main meal and lunch around these last 3 days as it was easier due to the shifts i was working and that could have had a difference having the bigger meal earlier.

    Todays meals will be
    BF pate on toast
    Lunch tuna sandwich
    Dinner spaghetti bolognaise

Taplady - i`ve been reading about hm yogurt for a couple of days and looking for the easiest way to do it without buying anything, i have a small wide necked food flask that can be microwaved (from Wilkinsons) and i think i may try to make a small portion in this to see how it goes , this
    http://bean-sprouts.blogspot.com/2007/11/how-to-make-greek-yogurt.html
looks easy so when i get a pot to start off with hopefully at the weekend i`ll give it a whirl.

My mum told me about aspartame a couple of years ago so i`ve avoided it ever since, one thing i need to check on though is there any nasties in splenda? i don`t use it but my dad who is diabetic does, is anyone in the know about this?

Catch up with you all later
    SD
Planning on starting the GC again soon :p
