    Hi all

Still doing 'ok' (thanks taplady). I have been doing a bit of exercise and my eating has been reasonably healthy, but I feel I may need to look at how much I am eating.

A quick question - I noticed that there is another weight loss thread (lose weight 19) and on there they submit their weight loss each week. I think that's a really good idea and wondered if it could be incorporated into our thread? I think it would be a real incentive to have to 'report' in and then see it in a chart.

The downside is that someone would have to co-ordinate it. What do people think??

  • Morning :)

Only on my 2nd day of this weight loss malarky. All didn't quite go to plan yesterday as I ate too much HM pizza than I should have done and I got virtually no excercise as I didn't go out :(

Today I've managed to get out in the garden for an hour, digging over and destoning my new veg patch. It'll take me at least another 5 hours so lots of mileage there. I would have stayed out there longer as the sun is quite strong, dispite dark clouds looming, but 2.5 yo DD wanted to go in  .

    Meals today......

B - Bran twigs & handful of sultanas
L - Errr, don;t know yet, maybe a few pieces of fruit
D - Chilli and baked pots

I'm gonna try the tip mentioned earlier in the thread about using a tea plate to try to control my portion size. Thanks skintmumof3 :D

    Just a quick one

Pebbles... cheerfulness means -get the cardboard roll from the loo roll, stand it up and pack it about 1/2 full with compost ... put your seed on its side in the compost (so if you were looking at it straight on it would like like an eye ;) ).. with flat seeds like cumber, courgettes, melons you plant them on their edges so that when watered the water will run off the seed so it doesn't rot... then top with more compost... I have set most of mine in 8cm peat pots... once they are ready to go out i will stick them in troughs..but you can plant them in just about anything -I did some last year that did amazingly in 10" pots

    Well done sunny day :j

DonnaP.... i think someone was going to make a list of how much was lost (can't remember who-sorry)... but i think with some people weighing weekly -some monthly -it could get quite confuddling... although im sure some brave soul might take it on :rotfl:

well everything has altered..hubby rang to say he had been collared for duty so won't be home until about 10am tomorrow - so i have had 3 pieces of bacon..those medallion things with leftover cabbage for lunch.... yummy and dinner will now be leftover pasta salad with krautsalat :D -thats lots of leftovers used out of the way :j
And now hubby has tomorrow off :T so we are nipping for some more gardening bits and hopefuly an extra walk around the golf course :D

right off i go.. need to check the leek n potato soup... talk to you later :D

    Afternoon,

well havent been on here since Friday, but, I have been very very good.

On sat, Dh and I went into town for some lunch, and I did have a cheese burger with fries, but that was my lunch and dinner. I was so full up at
dinner time that I coudnt eat a thing.

Yesterday I had, Rice crispies for breakfast, cheese toastie for lunch, and some spicy lentil and tomato soup with one slice of bread for dinner. I did have 2 glasses of rose wine, and a sandwich with italian breaded ham and some HM coleslaw.

HAVE YOU ALL NOTICED, AGAIN, NO CHOCOLATE. LAST TIME I HAD CHOCOLATE WAS FRIDAY.:A :A :A .

    Today so far has been:-

breakfast: Rice crispies and a coffee

    Snack: An Apple

Lunch: sandwich with itialian breaded ham and HM coleslaw

Dinner: chicken pasta bake from freezer.

I have the dentist later this afternoon, so I might not actually feel like any dinner by the time the numbness wears off, so I might just have some left over spicy lentil and tomato soup.

I personally think ive been doing really well over the last couple of days, and I really really hope it continues. I think its finally sunk in that I really can eat whatever I want I just have to watch my portions.

Thank you MRSM for clarifying the 'loo roll on its side' issue, as I to was somewhat baffled (easily done :rotfl: ). I think I might have a try myself though I think I might end up with the most expensive fruit and veg on the planet with having to buy in so many containers, compost etc ;) . I still need to get net for the strawberries and blackcurrents as last year I thought I'd give the BC's a couple more days to ripen, went to pick them and...............nothing..............every last one gone grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I'm going to use some old net curtains to try and keep the dreaded cabbage whites at bay, and we are in full compost production but it's only enough to dig into the plot so still have to buy in. Oh well once I've got everything ie more canes, pots and netting the cost should drop. Aren't loo rolls great for beans and sweet peas, and just disappear in the soil.

Feeling more motivated today and have had three dog walks to far, washed all their bedding and done several jobs I'd put off. Yesterday did nothing and just got depressed about the cost of running 2 cars. DH's 'again' sitting on the drive needing repairing  . The darn thing lives in the garage and eats money. Even to get rid of it would cost. DH thinks selling mine would be a good idea and getting a more cost effective one. Great and I'd be left with the money pit. I even resorted to an extra date to calm down and satify the nibbles:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: .

Breakfast: the usual Oatabix, fruit and yogurt concoction.
Lunch: 1/2 tin of baked bean on wholemeal toast and butter, yogurt.
Tea: Spag bol without the cheese.
    Snack: fig and date

Good luck all with the weigh in's. Enjoy the rest of the day and be good!:A

    Hi All,

Another busy day on here today. It's great to see so many people posting. I try to use the tea plate idea for my meals too - though sometimes it looks very tiny when carried next to OH's normal sized one!!

It's been a bit of a naughty day today, as was yesterday when I felt really hungry and tired all day. However, the good weather has come back so I should be able to fit in plenty of walks again which always helps.

B: Muesli mixed with fruit and fibre
L: Chicken thigh, half a potato skin with bacon and cheese. Coke.
D: Egg, SW chips, mushrooms and peas. Raspberry yoghurt.
    Snacks: Ice cream cone, orange.

    Hi everyone,

Congratulations to those who have lost weight and keep at it to those who are having problems.

DS3 and his fianc!e have set the date for their wedding as 1st August 2009...which gives me 3 weddings next year, Edinburgh in January, Kildare in August and Harlow in October...seems as if S3 and fianc!e are going over the top with theirs....4 bridesmaids, best man and 3 groomsmen, 4 flower girls and 4 page boys and 200 guests at around €100 each for reception....OS they are not and I think its mad, but not my money...I suggested to DS yesterday that they should elope and he looked at me as if I were mad....ME?? Anyway, lots of weight to be lost to get into something glamorous that doesn't cost the earth!

    Today I have eaten:
    2 slices of bread with tuna...no spread or dressing, coffee and 2 apples;

    Yesterday's leftover shepherd's pie

    2 small bowls of hm soup;

Jelly...made with water and homemade yogurt.

Might have more soup or some fruit.

Good luck to all...Frogga where are you ??
