I LOVE mushy peas - they are possibly my very favourite food in the whole world. I can eat them just plain in a bowl with salt and vinegar on. Sometimes I make pea and mint soup, which is just basically mushy peas, onions and stock with loads of mint - all cooked up and blitzed.

Another vote for mushys, absolutely love them. In fact I had a big pile of them tonight so I have that warm glow you get from a belly full of comfort food

I can't eat mushy peas cold but I do like cold beans with salad... I also like cold defrosted garden peas in mint sauce with salad.

Have had a dreadful night food wise - Have eaten all kinds of stuff - essentially not fattening stuff per se as I haven't got any cakes or sweet stuff in the house, but I have had about 12 pieces of toast with jam or cheese on and so now I feel properly sick. I think it is just the upset with DD1 - She rang up before but was really unpleasant on the phone and wouldn't say where she was or when she was coming home. My two daughters are essentially the only family I have (I do have a half brother and two sisters but I never see the brother and both sisters are disabled with down's syndrome and now I feel as if I have lost DD1 as well as OH, who left about 5 years ago. I am so angry with her - I was talking to a friend earlier and she said "Oh there's nothing you can do except be there for her when she does decide to come home" and I wanted to scream because I feel as if all I have ever done is be there for her and this is how I am treated. Part of me wants to tell her to get lost but part of me doesn't. I just know that I don't deserve to be treated like this - she has had so much given to her and done for her.....

Anyway sorry to have gone on - it's off-topic I know, but it is the reason I overeat IYKWIM.

I will have to try and get back to it tomorrow as I know that when I am eating well and losing weight, however slowly, I have a much better self esteem and have more energy to deal with things.
